McCain out -- Paul in?
A possible scenario:
It does seem that McCain will be out of the campaign picture before September. Not only a matter of eligibility (foreign born), but of finances, peccadilloes with leggy lobbyist, conservative doubts about his "conservatism", his stand on the war, and his health seem to assure that he will not be around for the general election. Now, what can happen if this becomes the case?
Bloomberg just declared that he will NOT be a candidate. That means that only Huckabee and Paul would face one another for the Republican candidacy. Huckabee's proclaimed support among the evangelicals was not as strong as had been proclaimed. He has copied Paul wherever he can, but will fall into the Romney "flip-flop" category if it continues. On top of all this, in regard to Huckabee, let's face it, most people simply don't want a "Nanny" for President. The Republican "base" has not supported him -- nor Ron Paul for that matter. But the base will have to decided upon one of them, and there are a lot of Republicans out there who have not been neoconned. Paul might stand a good chance against Hillary or Obama... but that remains to be seen. Yes, I know, a lot of assumptions here -- but a not entirely improbable scenario.
Anyhow, what odds am I given that Paul will emerge in the upcoming Republican nomination as the choice Presidential candidate? Am I a hopeless optimist?

Vote RON PAUL 2008
_____________
I would like to think that the load of crap MCCAIN has around him is so heavy that even the MSM will be unable to keep it all from crashing in around him -- when that happens, he will be no more.
I would think that RON PAUL would be then moved a step closer to the nomination and that any battle between him and HUCKABEE would prove to be HUCKABEE's demise.
As to RON PAUL against OBAMA or HBILLARY -- RON PAUL would then be given plenty of media coverage (something he certainly hasn't been afforded to-date, that's for sure) and his message (his issues) would sling-shot him to the front just as he has gone there for us because we've heard him and believe him to be the best man (person) for the job. The others across America (USA) would also be hearing this and surely come to the same conclusions as the thousands of us already know and understand RON PAUL. And saying that -- You're welcome aboard folks, nice to have you come join us. No hard feelings.
Now as to ROMNEY or others returning to do battle and therefore keep RON PAUL in the shadows // Well, I personally don't think any of us should stand by and allow that to happen. Do you?
I believe that once MCCAIN is shown to be the true person he is -- then RON PAUL should come out swinging and not stand by and allow business as usual around here (MSM) to treat him and his message further as they have. Any true contender for the office of President (as I believe RON PAUL to be) needs to be forceful in that regard and simply just not stand for such rude and disrespectful treatment. I mean after all, the man is representing the highest office in the land, the most powerful person in the free world. We would expect nothing else in such a leader.
-- Think about it.
Get tough, get ready. A Battle Royal. That's what I believe and how I see it yet to unfold.

Even Fox News Stepping In

Fox News is reporting the questionable aspect of McCain's "natural born citizenship."
The cloud will hopefully darken for him.
There is good reason to be
There is good reason to be optimistic. The fracture in the Republican Party is evident by what we see and hear about insane McCain.
Old school conservatives in the GOP are fed up with the neocons. There is a revolt going on right now, and I think the Republican Party will wake up and realize the opportunity they have with Ron Paul.
The reason why Obama-Hillary draw so much attention is because they echo the popular sentiment against the war. Their rhetoric is anti-war, and over 70% of America wants out of Iraq now. Insane McCain himself said he could lose because of his position on the war. Americans are sick of this war, and it is bankrupting us.
Dr. Paul was the only candidate to address the issue of the falling dollar. Conservatives will rally behind Paul if he received a full and fair media spotlight. The choice is very clear for the GOP. Nominate Ron Paul, or watch the GOP fall into the dustbin of history.
why Obama-Hillary draw so much attention
The reason why Obama-Hillary draw so much attention is everyone believes that a Democrat will be next POTUSA. So it is Obama or Hillary (or both?) that matters.
romney will come back if
romney will come back if mccain is out, and huckabee will be romneys vp
Yeah
I think that's likely, and others may jump in too if McCain is out. They're not just going to leave it to Paul and Huckabee to fight over.
