I just called my Senators and Congressman.
I just called both of my US Senators and my one Congressman. I left them a message urging them to vote against this wiretapping bill.
Here is basically what I said to each one.
I want to urge you to vote against this wiretapping bill. I also want to remind you that you took an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of this country. A vote for this wiretapping bill would be a spit in the face of the 4th amendment. When government gives immunity to companies who help them violate our rights, that is what fascism is. The merger of state and corporate power. If you care anything about this country and the continuation of its freedoms, you will vote against this bill. I would also like to let you know that if I see you vote for this bill, you will lose my vote and I will urge everyone I know to vote against you as well.
So here is my message for all you Daily Paulers. GET ON THE PHONE NOW! The President is live on tv this morning urging the congress to pass this bill. So you need to get your butt on the phone RIGHT NOW and urge your senators and congressmen to vote against this.
I called 3 people, left the same message with their secretaries, and it honestly took me less than 5 minutes. Sick and tired of looking up your lawmakers... I mean law breakers phone #'s? Store them in your phone! I've got all 3 stored in my phone so I can call at a moments notice. Maybe I might happen to be out of the house and not able to look up the phone number. I hear something on the radio that is going down today in D.C. I need to call them asap, so I just open my phone and the numbers are right there.
NO MORE EXCUSES FOR NOT HOLDING THESE COWARDS ACCOUNTABLE!
Call now! Let them know that we are watching, and that we will vote accordingly.

The "Protect America Act" has been passed in the Senate
and the Republican congressmen walked out in protest when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wouldn't bring it up to vote on before the last recess.
I called my congressman at that time and told them the FISA bill, Protect America Act, is an assault on my Constitutional rights guaranteed by the 4th Amendment.
I am tired of the use of the word "terrorism" to justify taking my rights away! The FISA bill is illegal wiretapping--pure and simple.
If you have the number of the house bill, please post it so we can use it when we call.
