Do the MATH - Ron Paul CAN WIN!!!!!!
HOW RON PAUL WINS!
And how the main stream media (MSM) is confused.
Do some research!!!!
When McCain reaches 1191 as declared by the MSM, that will really not be the case. He is not guaranteed all of those delegates.
HE MUST WIN THE 1191 DELEGATES AT THE CONVENTION!!!!
DID YOU GET THAT???
HE DOES NOT WIN THE DELEGATES DURING THE PRIMARIES!!!
Bound or pledged delegates are committed to the winner of the primary to vote for that candidate in the first round.
Many states have yet to pick delegates. Of those that have, RP has very high delegate counts even though he hasn't won a single primary. How? Well people just simply apply. More of RP supporters are willing to become delegates than McCain supporters.
The primaries and caucuses are nothing more than window dressing. Delegates are not chosen the day of the primary/caucus.
The only thing the primaries/caucuses do is commit the BOUND/PLEDGED delegates to the winner either by winner take all or proportioned out.
At the convention, there will be bound/pledged and unbound/unpledged delegates. NOT ALL DELEGATES FOR EACH STATE ARE BOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The unbound/unpledged can vote for anyone!!!!!
At the convention, if McInsane does not get 51% of the delegate vote on the first round, then they vote again. In the next round, delegates can vote for whomever they want.
MEANING?
All the Ron Paul delegates that have snatched up every available delegate seat can boot McCain right out of the convention on ROUND #2!!!
Read and learn!!!!! Spread the word to everyone you can in EVERY STATE or US PROVINCE that has yet to have an election to get delegates!
According to the sight below, here are the bound and unbound totals as of today. McCain has 796 bound and 18 unbound delegates.
The Green Papers
Now lets do some math:
McCain needs 395 bound delegates to reach 1191
Of the remaining states:
Texas - 137 bound and 3 unbound
Ohio - 88 UNBOUND
South Dakota - 24 bound and 3 unbound
Wisconsin - 37 bound and 3 unbound
Vermont - 17 bound
Idaho - 26 bound and 6 unbound
Hawaii - 20 bound
Pennsylvania - 74 UNBOUND
Oregon - 27 bound and 3 unbound
Puerto Rico - 20 bound and 3 unbound
North Carolina - 69 bound
Indianna - 27 bound and 30 UNBOUND
Kentucky - 45 bound
Mississippi - 36 bound and 3 unbound
RI - 17 bound and 3 unbound
Nebraska - 30 bound and 3 unbound
New Mexico - 29 bound and 3 unbound
There are 561 bound delegates left of which Mr. McCain must win 71% of to reach 1191.....now when was the last time he won with 71% of the vote?
Huckabee will probably win Nebraska, Kentucky, Miss, and SD. If this happens, then McCain would have to win just about every remaining delegate, and that is not likely to happen.
Basically, McCain would almost have to run the board of the ALL other states to win. NOT LIKELY!!!
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Vermont is the only winner take all state remaining, so even if McCain wins a state, he does not get all of the bound delegates.
THE MSM IS LUMPING BOTH BOUND AND UNBOUND IN THEIR TOTALS.......VERY MISLEADING.
So get your heads out of the MSM garbage!!!
MARCH ON TROOPS!!!!

Can anyone answer this...
Ron Paul had to get signatures to be put on the ballot in Ohio. The signatures also designated the delegates for Ron Paul in each district in Ohio. Since McCain was automatically put on the Ohio ballot...because he flip flopped on whether or not he wanted to use federal funding...how do his delegates get assigned?

Still passing out the slim jims
With the primary in Washington over, I'm still handing out slim jims on the ferries out here in the Puget Sound for the next round against the the Democrat nominee. Most people are very inquisitive about him, and welcome the information. Ron Paul DOES very much have a chance. I see more Ron Paul signs than ever out here. I'm assuming it's the same way everywhere else.

Ohio has 0 bound delegates
Ohio has 0 bound delegates and 88 unbound meaning : They can vote for who ever they wish at the convention.
PA is also 0 bound and 74 delegates unbound
Mccain will need about 73% of the remaining bound delegates to assure the nomination and i do not see that happening at all.
Read my post on the delegate process in depth and file to become a delegate before it is too late.

Dr. Steve Parent
not to mention
that even " bound " or " pledged " delegates CAN decide to vote for someone else.
That's the whole purpose of having delegates instead of just following popular votes - so that delegates can vote differently, knowing that the public can easily be swayed & manipulated by tyrants.

Florida Needs Ron Paul Delegates !!!
Becoming a delegate is a 2 step process. Very simple!!
STEP 1 -- Delegate loyalty oaths and applications have to be received by the Republican Party of Florida no earlier than noon on March 3rd and no later than noon on March 7th-- REGISTER YOUR INTENT TO PARTICIPATE:
Submit your National Convention delegate application form to the Republican Party of Florida. Be certain to check the box that says "Congressional District Delegate" :
http://www.rpof.org/resources/docs/DeligateApplication.pdf
Also you need to include the Party loyalty oath which MUST BE NOTARIZED:
http://www.rpof.org/resources/docs/RPOF_LOYALTY%20OATH.pdf
STEP 2 -- Attend the delegate selection event in your congressional district:
http://www.rpof.org/resources/docs/cd_delegate_selection_cau...
This is mandatory. This is where registered district participants in your district will vote to select 3 delegates and 3 alternates from those who checked the "Congressional District Delegate" box in the application form. (Those who checked the "Delegate-at-large" box will be selected by the Republican Party of Florida itself at their quarterly meeting. They have to fill 34 slots.)
Good luck

Get in the delegate process
Get in the delegate process now. McCain may lock the nomination, but we have got to be ready with our RP delegates if this thing goes brokered. How horrible would it be if this thing goes to a split decision and we didn't have enough delegates to take the nomination. GET IN THE DELEGATE PROCESS NOW. Go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com/states/ find your state and get started.
Hey...this was my post.....if you are going to copy it

What Happens if Some of McCain's Delegates Don't Show Up?
I assume that if some of McCain's bound delegates don't show up, or show up late for the vote, they can't vote. Unless the delegation from that state has alternates to appoint, it means fewer votes for McCain.
So, even if the pre-count estimate says he has enough, it isn't true until the delegate vote is counted.

My understanding is Ohio is
My understanding is Ohio is a winner take all state. How does that work with the 88 delegates being unbound? I am a delegate for Ron Paul in Ohio, but my understanding is he has to win in Ohio for me to go to the national convention to have a chance to vote. Can anyone confirm / clarify?
For Republicans, all of Ohio's delegates are unbound
or unpledged....they will not be obligated to vote for the winner of the primary in the first round at the convention. I believe Ohio's delegates go to the convention no matter who wins the primary.
