Combination is the key... No

Combination is the key...

No bees... drought... the effect of diminishing number of acres farmed in America due to increasing imports.. on and on..put it all together with a currency collapse and those nice full shelves at the local mega chain store will look like some third world nation store.

I found a nice 150 acre farm in Pa. I go to Friday night classes to learn horsemanship and I'm looking at mule and donkey rescue programs for the future.
Donkey's are cool.

"GINO" = Government In Name Only

If that works out for you...

... give me a call, i'll work the animals with you. I can train farm dogs and I love workin with my hands. I'm sick of living in a cubicle...

Them involved in 4-H.
It was amazing that I survived my entire life without a MEGA store:)

This post I made last night got buried. It gives tips on how to live on a LOT less food. The bee shortage is REALLY going to create a (hopefully not permanent!) food shortage, and the dollar crash will increase the price more. Also the fact they are using land to grow food to create ethonal, leaving less farmland for people food. Bump my post, thanks!

Albert Einstein said

That if bees ever go extinct, then the human race will soon follow.

"the only thing that keeps the banking system from failing is general ignorance about how the banking system works."

snopes said that may have not

been from Einstein, but it sure could have/should have! Without bees, there will be very little to eat: rice, wheat, corn....A province in China wiped out all its bees. Now they have to hand pollinate. I bet only the very wealthy can eat fruit and vegetables. On 60 Min. or some show I saw it. The people can only do 30 trees in the time it takes the bees to pollinate about 300,000 or something like that.

sure will

sure will

Food shift!

A food shortage in the U.S. will probably not happen, but a large rise in cost will most definately happen. This in large part due to fuel costs along with export pressures. Considering those countries holding on to dollars, will more than likely buy up U.S. grains to protect against their falling paper dollars. China in particular will more than likely exchange their reserves of dollars for reserves of U.S. farm products.

How much soy for $ 363,300,000,000 ?

Why do you think China would want to buy food (particularly grains) from America?

They are mostly purchasing long term supplies of energy and strategic raw materials around the world. They do buy some soy beans and oranges from America to my knowledge.

True

China sometimes is an export competitor with us for wheat...lol

Now pork, on the other hand....

Food

food shortages may occur in certain areas of the food supply, but over all there will be no huge food shortage...food is available from so many sources..Besides, you could stock up for a short term event, but not something like a long term world wide food shortage

You can't stock enough

food to last very long. You need to learn how to hunt and fish.We
lived off the land when I was a kid,we can do it again.

Codex Alimentarius

You may want to watch this video (I just watched). I don't know anything about Dr. Laibow, but she seems knowledgeable on the Codex Alimentarius.

Dr. Laibow over Codex Alimentarius

I'd like to hear if anyone here could share their perspective on this.

I have known Dr. Laibow

through several projects, though I have not met her face-to-face. She really knows what she is talking about. We all need to support her work. Though she wouldn't have to work so hard if we weren't part of the WTO.

I've been tracking Codex for years.

They want to reduce the population with nutricide. Empty calories (irradiated food) may keep you from immediate starvation. But you will nonetheless starve, just slowly and with a reasonably full stomach. We are already the most overfed and undernourished nation. This will take us further, though we won't be quite as overfed with the food shortage.

Food shortages real

I just posted this tonight. There are many reasons for coming food shortages, and ways we can GREATLY reduce our need for food.

It is not so much the case that farmers will not be

able to grow food. The crux of the breakdown is likely to occur in the distribution system in this country; a system which relies on a complex system of credit. From farm to wholesale commodity distribution to processors to finished product distribution points to grocery shelf to your pantry is a path that is made possible by a fairly robust, and yet vulnerable, distribution system. That distribution system is also very dependent on oil, not just for the trucks that are hauling food to the supermarkets, but also for the production of the chemicals used in farming. There are a number of places on the internet where you can read about how the production, processing and distribution of food works as well as the financial system of credit that is used in order to support every part of that system. When that system breaks down, life in a large city is not going to be a nice thing to contemplate. As the rate of value loss (of the dollar) begins to accelerate, that system of credit will start to strain before it breaks. The Mormons actually have a pretty good set of rules for storing foods for use during times of need. I'm not a member of the Mormon church, but they teach a lot of good basic rules for acquiring, storing and use of basic food commodities that would be well learned for survival during good times and the hardest of times.

hey friend

in my opinion, yes absolutely,,storable nutritious food and water should be stored and kept out of sight...there was a very good post just a short while ago that went very much into depth as to what to buy, and grow and how to store it properly and so on,,,,if you go to daily paul forum (general) and scan you should find it easily.....start very soon and good luck. also my advice, keep your valuables a secret, only tell your husband or wife or loved ones you trust , good luck

thanks for your great
