How We Can Still Win Texas

Many Republicans are casting their vote for Barack Obama only to push Sen. Clinton out of the race.
Those votes are coming from all the Republican candidates. But...
If we can just get enough people out to vote for RP and let the others vote for Obama, TX could go to Ron Paul, instead of McCain.
Everyone should sign up to be a Precinct Leader and hit your tiny little precinct very hard.
Just three days of active canvassing prior to the big day can win this for us!

How It Makes A Difference
I walked my precinct in California.
My state had Ron Paul in 5th
My county had Ron Paul in 4th
My precinct had Ron Paul in 3rd
The Los Angeles Meet-up groups were very active here. I'll bet they were responsible for the 4th place.
I canvassed and found very few people home, and in some cases there were security buildings I could not enter. I left slim jims if I could, and did one mailing of additional slim jims along with a note "from a neighbor" saying a vote for Ron Paul would give him representation among the delegates, and that he would not drop out like the others.
That's all I did, plus I spent a few hours morning and evening at the polling place with a big RP sign to make sure everyone knew he was still running.
One or two votes either way made the difference in ranking at the precinct level in such a crowded field. Now that we're down to 3, it's critical to ask for the vote - remind voters they're not electing the president, but telling the GOP what type of candidate they want nominated, and that a vote for Ron Paul will be for a candidate who does not quit.
I don't like talking to people, and if I had it to do again, I'd go three days in a row, just dropping off a different slim jim to the same homes. Maybe with a personal note asking for the vote. I'd cover more territory in less time, and repeat, repeat, repeat. There are people who will vote for a candidate just because you ask.
Calling to "get out the vote" is probably more effective in the general election. For the primary, you can count on Ron Paul to sell himself: just make sure those who are going to vote know they have an option.
