Why is the medical community NOT trying to stop CODEX??!!!!

0 votes

Is it because they will cash in on the NATURAL supplements they get to prescribe? Millions of Americans have turned to Holistic health care. Is this a way to reel them back into the medical model?? Why are they not fighting CODEX? Don't they think Americans can choose their own NATURAL supplements? The price of these products will go through the roof, which means many will not be able to afford them, which will negatively impact the public’s health. Why is the medical community silent?

That's simple. It doesn't exist.

Sure it's real and it's going into full effect in a month or so, but it doesn't exist. Now move along.
Hey GreedisBad--- here ya go: http://www.documentarywire.com/codex-alimentarius

Because the medical

Because the medical community is the medical "industry" and if you follow the money are just pushers and prostitutes for the pharmaceuticals. Natural substances, such as vitamins, cannot be patented, thus the pharmaceuticals have incentive to have them regulated. As more people learn about the link between vitamins, malnutrition and chronic disease and awareness is raised about orthomolecular medicine, alopathic medicine and the drug companies scurry to defend their industry.

Short answer: AMA = Rockefeller invention

The long answer is one of those "awakening" processes. How much do you really want to know?
Your doctor is probably a nice man or woman doing the best they can to give you the finest thing the pharmaceutical industry has to offer. Trouble is, everything they are taught is laced with lies, just like everything that all of us have been taught. Enough hard science and fact to make us confident in our own expertise, and enough misinformation, backed with plausible deniability, to lead them to be tools of some very bad things. Like your average public school teacher. Or cop. Or... what do you do for a living? If we all dig deep enough, most of us are tools of the machine already.
They don't complain because they do not perceive the problem. They believe they are the purveyors of the finest healthcare in the world...

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

What is CODEX?

Probably for the same reason

Probably for the same reason all these other creepy agendae fly--because our Bozo the Clown news media has not informed anyone about Codex.

I'm not very familiar with CODEX.

Bump this. I hope I will hear more about it, so that I might become more familiar with it.

DANGERS OF CODEX, WTO AND CAFTA!

July 6, 2005

This new film by Kevin P. Miller exposes imminent dangers posed by CAFTA, Codex, and the WTO, and urges people to action. A new documentary by International award-winning filmmaker Kevin P. Miller, We Become Silent has taken the world by storm via the Internet - with more than 10,000 viewings in less than two days. It can be seen at http://www.welltv.com/.

International award-winning filmmaker Kevin P. Miller announced the release of a new documentary about the threat to freedom of choice in health care. We Become Silent: The Last Days of Health Freedom details the ongoing attempts by multinational pharmaceutical interests and giant food companies -- through the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), Codex Alimentarius, the European Union, the WTO, and others -- to limit the public’s access to herbs, vitamins and other therapies.

We Become Silent is narrated by Dame Judi Dench, one of Britain’s most distinguished actresses.

My husband always says "Que bono"...

" who benefits" In this case, both big pharma and the doctors themselves.

Libera me, let the truth break, what my fears make--Leslie Phillips

But that man should play the tyrant over God, and find Him a better man than himself, is astonishing drama indeed!~~D. Sayers

There is no difference between an authoritarian government from the right or the left...F. A.Schaeffer

So..,,the answer is....

It's unstoppable because once again it is a UN program along with it's many agencies and organizations. We are a member nation under UN CHARTER. Any member nation will comply to all of it's programs and most people are totally unaware of what is going on. They are out to "harmonize the world", and doing a very good job at it so far. This international body had been around for centuries and their planned goals were to be achieved through "education". Social engineering. It is even hard at work within your church!!

Take a look at what has ALREADY happened in Europe

Price of supplements went way, way up. This is not a conspiracy. It's happening now in Europe. Dr. Ron Paul, the guy you claim to support, is trying to stop CODEX, for this and many other reasons. Thanks for keeping this topic up top for all to see :)

ACTUALLY

With physicians prescribing these supplements the cost for most people will go down because more than likely as physician prescribe more insurances will start covering them

More important info

Harm in harmonization
Through the process called "harmonization," our legislators in Washington will be required to align America with harsh and restrictive Codex requirements, regulating international trade, distribution and processing of food, herbs and nutrients. Those proposed standards will be extremely detrimental to the environment and your health, blocking your access to many clean, unadulterated, life-enhancing foods.
The FDA is currently at work, preparing its own plans for "directives" for "harmonization" of our dietary supplement laws so they will fully agree with the excessively restrictive "international standard" set by the EU-dominated Codex.

What Codex will accomplish
These new standards and guidelines will:
1. Protect the multimillion-euro (European equivalent of dollars) investments of the large drug companies as well as their government-blessed monopolies.
2. Lead people away from natural healing methods, resulting in more power for the government-medical-pharma cartel, more suffering and death for the populace, and the further degradation of life on Earth.

Codex's Evil Sister
The drug industry, recognizing the growing preference for natural remedies over pharmaceuticals, wants nutritional supplements and herbs either forbidden or priced out of reach. In Europe, the drug cartel has succeeded in enacting the European Food Supplements Directive, which will accomplish that objective on the European continent very soon. This Directive, which passed into European Union (EU) law in 2002 and was implemented throughout the EU on August 1, 2005, is the first of several EU Directives to impact natural healthcare and is one of the bases for the Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements Guidelines adopted by Codex Alimentarius.

Effects of the 1994 U.S. dietary-supplement law, DSHEA:
In the United States, after DSHEA was enacted by Congress, the shackles were removed from American suppliers, who were permitted for the first time to actually advertise some of the purported health benefits of vitamins, minerals, and herbs, and to sell such products free of the arbitrary enforcement powers of the FDA. DSHEA was passed because large numbers of Americans demanded it. Over 2.5 million ordinary citizens wanted to ensure that dietary supplements would remain available over-the-counter. By 2002, nutritional supplements outsold drug medications. Interestingly enough, although the FDA has retained wide-ranging enforcement powers over supplements, many anti-supplement interests repeatedly and deliberately lie and call supplements "unregulated."

CAFTA agreement
Special clauses have been inserted into the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) designed to force America to submit to Codex standards after its enactment by the U.S. Congress. CAFTA was passed by the U.S. Senate and Congress in 2005. This laid yet another brick in the wall for the U.S. government to eventually restrict vitamin and supplement sales in accordance with the "German Model" of healthcare. Gradually, DSHEA, which protects the nutritional rights of Americans, is being nullified by these “end runs,” and the North American supplement companies (along with their healthfood stores) are being insidiously phased out.

The power behind the throne
Codex is a joint venture between the United Nation's World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization (WHO/FAO). The WTO stated that it will enforce Codex "guidelines" as the world standard for trade in food and food supplements. Both the FAO and the WHO are intended to protect the health and welfare of the world's population, but it is clear they have shirked this responsibility in regard to Codex.
An immense German, French, U.S., and British drug cartel is behind this. Codex is also working with other groups supporting the following agendas:
1. The chemical industry's aim that all animals be treated with antibiotics and hormones.
2. The largest seed company in the world (Monsanto) is working toward 100% genetically-modified crops.
3. The nuclear industry's goal of irradiating all foods including plants and livestock.
4. All industries' goal: phasing out truly organic foods, or at least, making them extremely difficult to obtain.
Hopefully, the facts will alarm you enough that you will want to immediately contact Congress and tell them how you feel about all of this.
Actions by the European Union and the United Nations affect millions of lives. What makes it possible for drug companies to have so much influence at the EU and UN and even within our own FDA? The answer is rather simple: drug companies make excessive profits by overcharging on patented medicinal drugs. They claim that the profits are needed for research into new drugs. Yet, the costs of that research only come down to paying the salaries of some lab technicians. It is well-known that most of the profits are used for lobbying politicians, advertising, and similar methods of increasing sales.

The powers on the throne
Some 167 countries are members of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC). Here are some of the international organizations working closely with Codex in order to accomplish its objectives:
• Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO):
• International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
• International Consultative Group on Food Irradiation (ICGFI)
• Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA):
• The European Commission on Food Safety (ECFS)
• United Nations (UN)
• World Health Organization (WHO)
• World Trade Organization (WTO)
The bottom line is that, for all their power, the pharmaceutical companies could no more force you to buy their drugs and accept their medicines than Wal-Mart could force you to buy its pots and pans. It is the overriding dictates of monopolistic legislation enacted by Congress, coupled with the government-enforced monopoly given to government-licensed and approved medical doctors, that restrict our healthcare choices. Without these laws, you could reject “Big Pharma” with impunity as you bought and used all the natural health products you wanted in a truly free market.

No one

is 'forcing" you to take anything..only you can decide that when it comes to supplements

Not only supplements but if

Not only supplements but if you need drug treatment for some illness you can pick and choose what drugs you want to take and which you don't.

Read the History of the Pure Food and Drug Act

Back around the turn of the 20th Century, John D. Rockefeller discovered that one very valuable byproduct of petrochemicals is as a base for patent medicines. At that time, the chiropractic, osteopathic and American Medical Associations were about the same size (if anything, the AMA was the smallest). Rockefeller got the AMA to agree to push his patent medicines ("pill pushers"), while bribing states to discourage or outright outlaw some procedures used by osteopaths and chiropractors. The treatment of chiropractors was most insidious. States simply made a chiropractic license as easy to get as a beautician's license (forget that chiropractors go to school for as long as MDs). Many osteopaths used electromagnetic devices for treatment. No matter that they worked; states outlawed them, arrested osteopaths and took away their licenses.
Then John D. got Congress to pass the Pure Food and Drug Act, creating the FDA. The FDA has been harassing "health food" marketers ever since, while allowing many deadly prescription drugs on the market. One of the FDA's most recent outrages was the temporary ban on Red Yeast Rice, which is a natural anti-cholesterol nutrient.
While prescription drugs which are organically similar to Red Yeast Rice, they all cause some liver inflammation, sometimes resulting in complete liver failure. Red Yeast Rice has NO side effects, and costs less than the copay on most prescription anti-cholesterols.

The profession of Chiropractic has

continued to grow, even through massive attacks by the American Medical Assoc. The AMA has failed, because Chiropractic gets results. People get better. Chiropractic's success is based on personal referrals, not billion dollar PR campaigns. Drug based health care is now fighting for its very existence. That's why the drug companies want to own the cause of their demise. Natural products. Evil bastards.

Selling sickness

There is a very interesting book called:
Selling Sickness: How the World's Biggest Pharmaceutical Companies Are Turning Us All into Patients (Hardcover)
by Ray Moynihan and Allan Cassels...

very interesting read.. It tells you who decides what we need, how much we need, what and how they can think up anything to invent a new disease, how to lower or higher thresholds to have a larger catch of the population to stuff up with new drugs.

It tells of the trials of anti depressants on large number of country people in Australia, using the results to set new standards.

Your library might carry a copy, it certainly is worth a read.

He's actually right about the doctors

I took the same nutrition class that they make the doctors take. Unless you are a speciallist, more often than not I would know about the same amount of stuff about nutrition as a doctor.

I was told once by a doctor that everyone should take a daily multivitamin supplement. When I told him wouldn't it be better if I just varied my veggies around and paid attention to what I was eating to make sure I get what my body needs in the proper amounts, he said "most people are too lazy to do that and the junk food people rely one has almost no nutritional value so we have to get our vitamins from somewhere."

I couldn't believe my ears. Here was a doctor basically telling people they should eat suppliments over changing their diets. Sounded to me like he was already defeated.

We don't spend nearly enough time educating our kids about proper nutrition. That is where we should put the emphisis, not "natural" suppliments.

it's not lazy

I used to travel 6 days a week and it's was virtually impossible to get a nutritional meal on the road...At least some restaurants now have some decent meals on their menu..But there were many days I was lucky to get a meal other than something I could grab late at night from some convenience store

Isn't that how we've grown?

Always on the move, sometimes even when we really aren't moving. That's why those cooking shows have become so popular. Used to be that cooking at home was the norm. Now we watch it in wonder on the tube while eating our quikie fude. Sad really. If we learned nutrition, and learned how to cook for ourselves again it wouldn't be an issue and the only ones in the market for supplements would be people who have real issues where their body doesn't make or absorb something properly.

Under Codex Standards

No supplement can be sold for preventative, or therapeutic use.
None can exceede RDA levels (which are set very low initally)
New supplements are "banned" unless Codex approved.
Regulations are NOT based on scientific or research findings.
Regulations were actually set by 11 "appointed" persons.

Under NAFTA comes TCC (Trilaterial Cooperation Charter) in partnership with WTO, WHO, FDA, that is designed to "harmonize" our regulations with Canada, and Mexico.
All functioning under UN charters...............................

All supplements are to be marketed by Big Pharma, follow the money.
In Germany and Norway, already under Codex Guidelines, prices have soared. (ie. zinc tablets went from $4 to $52, Echinacea went from $14 to $153.)

Since all prescription drugs

Since all prescription drugs have to pass clinical trials before they are approved for public use, I wonder if the natural 'drugs' will have to go through the same tests..

Drug companies spend millions of dollars to develop a new drug. They then spend millions more in clinical trials. Then they spend millions on advertising if the drug demonstrates positive in trials and passes public distribution approval.

At the same time, they get patents on the drugs they create. Since there is no way to get a patent on a naturally occurring thing, I dont see the pharm's having much interest in this at all as far as the 'raw material distribution' of it. Specific combinations of naturally occurring things can be patented - so I wouldn't be suprised to see new mixes showing up with attempts to patent them by the pharms.

A clinical trial is an expensive thing to run. Pharm companies have to pay a management firm to arrange doctors who are willing to provide patients for the trials. The management firm has to then pay doctors for participating, pay the related medical bills of all patients the doctor puts into the trial, pay for the lab tests and researching of results of those tests. It's literally millions of dollars paid out by the pharms for these trials.

It's not like the pharm goes out and stands in a hospital, finds a sick person and says "Hey buddy, we've got this new drug we want you to try", and then waits for results. It's a highly organized, professional, regulated and expensive thing to do.

The real winners in this situation, in my learned opinion, are doctors. If a doctor is the only person who can get you your vitamins, they stand to make a lot of additional income from it. They are the 'short term' winners in this because they make money before, during and after a clinical trial happens (well, 'after' if the drug passes the trials). Pharms will have to figure out a way to get patents on things before they can make the motherloads of money they're used to getting.

CF

If the vitamins, minerals

If the vitamins, minerals and other supplements are regulated through CODEX then the pharms win. It's that simple.

Not so much on the sale of those items, but the sale of their products.

So you go to the doctor and say "Hey doc, I want a multivitamin."

The doc says, "Okay, first you pay me my $50 for this visit, then I'll give you a scrip for your multivitamins. But, I have this new drug available from XYZ Pharmy that does the same thing with synthetics, and it's less expensive than the natural stuff".

Now the person who knows better is going to say "No thanks, I'll stick with the natural stuff", pay their visit fee to the doc and then hop on over to the pharmacy to pay a bit more for naturals.

But the person who is needing to save some money, say .. because the economy is in the toilet and they're having problems paying for day to day stuff.. might go for the cheaper version.

The drug companies are not 'losing' money by selling their synthetics at a lower price - because the sale of a single synthetic pill is better than no sale at all. They'll take less for the replacement drugs, because they would rather have money than not have it.

Many of the 'synthetic' drugs are actually natural ones that have had coloring added to them - or sugars - or even salt! As soon as they create something that doesn't occur 'naturally', then it qualifies as synthetic - and they can sell it as such (and get to name their new creation, spend millions on television ads, and properly train the screen monkeys on what they need to be putting in their bodies).

It's not so much a scam as it is a shame.

CF

Big Pharma testing is based on a flawed theory of dis-ease

They get it wrong. Often. Obviously. They are stealing supplements because humans have identified toxic drugs as dangerous. Their product is being rejected, so they are stealing another product to sell. That simple.

Has anyone else noticed

that all "conditions" are now being deemed Diseases, being overweight is now a disease.... I read somewhere that any "disease" is to be treated only with "approved" chemical substances (Pharma products via FDA).

DSHEA (Dietary Suppliment Health and Education Act ) of 1994, used to protect our use of vitamins by classifying them as food as opposed to "toxic drug" as Codex now classifies them.

level. That way, if people feel more comfortable taking "approved" drugs, they can pay the higher prices. Also, by having competing agencies, the drug makers would go to the most efficient one to get approval.

Codex and animal ID

Codex is also linked to OIE (World Animal Health Organization).
OIE is the equivelent to our USDA. They have authority over all "member nations" veterinary services." The US is a member under this UN charter.
In their TAHSC (Terrestrial Animal Health Standards Commission) publication titled,
Tracibility Products and Codex Standards, it is apparent that we as "UN charter member nation" we will comply to Codex as well as animal ID.

Thank you again UN........ I feel much safer
