Things are shaping up for an interesting week.
Let's start out with a couple of developments that occurred over the weekend.
1. The king of Saudi Arabia has informed his subjects to leave Lebanon as soon as possible. Last week, the U.S.S. Cole began patrolling in the waters off the coast of Lebanon. Tensions and attacks between Gaza and Israel increased over the weekend with Israeli incursions into Gaza and renewed rocket attacks into Israel.
2. Hugo Chavez has positioned military units on the border with Columbia as a demonstration against the killing of a group of FARC leaders. Venezuela and Ecuador--where the killing took place--have both recalled ambassadors from Columbia in protest. Chavez has said that the action may cause war in Latin America.
Now, onto this upcoming week.
1. Primaries occur for some states on Tuesday, including the largest in Texas and Ohio. Rumor has it that here in Texas, people are voting in the Democratic primaries 3 times more than they are voting in the Republican primaries. I know of at least 3 Republicans--neo-cons-- who figure that McCain has already wrapped up Texas, so they are voting in the democratic primary for Hillary Clinton, in order to defeat Obama. I certainly don't consider this a good use of logic; but it is my feeling that Ron Paul will stand to gain from this trend as long as his base is motivated and ready, willing, and able to participate in the primary caucuses. It is through the grassroots that we will start to usurp the GOP and kick the neo-cons and Christian wrong to the curb.
Remember, if you are voting and participating in the precinct conventions this Tuesday, keep a low profile, clean up, be polite, be respectful, but be firm. If you are familiar with the convention rules, and something seems fishy, object and speak up. Do not allow yourself to be railroaded because of the rules of the mechanism. Instead, know the rules and use them for your advantage.
2. Financial meltdown continues. Although the smirking chimp, HRH George Bush, and the slimy Ben Bernanke have said that we are not headed towards recession (since we are already in one), watch for the banking system, bond insurers, stock markets, and dollar to continue to take more hits throughout the week. Watch for further increases in commodity prices. As I write this, gold is over $980/oz in Asia, and the Nikkei is down over 545 points.
3. Remember that we are fighting for a better future. Let us also remember that we are a big camp with differing ideas, talents, and points of view. Remember this in the tenor of your posts. Never forget that people are born into a state of ignorance, they only become stupid after they are educated. It is the most monumental responsibility for those of us who are more educated in Libertarian philosophy, economics and politics to try to help the neophytes to Dr. Paul's message understand what it is we are fighting both for and against. We must patiently undo years of brainwashing that they have learned through the MSM and the schools. In fact, it is up to us to undo their educations, and build them up again as free thinking individuals. I know that it gets frustrating having to explain points over and over to different groups of people; I also know that the trolls and the half-informed add to this frustration, don't get off message trying to debate them, ignore them instead. Sometimes I feel like the blue caterpillar sitting on the mushroom at the bottom of the rabbit hole; but instead of having to answer the questions of one little girl, I am responding to the questions of a thousand different people. Good thing I've got my hookah ;)
4. Be prepared, keep your eyes open, and have faith. There is a lot of info that is out there that is beyond terrifying. Don't let it get you down. Let us all remember to smile and help each other get through this day by day. Things are going to come to a head very soon. So don't panic, don't call for violence at the outrages we are confronted with every day, but most importantly, don't give up the fight. When all is said and done, we will win, and this Republic that we love will be a better place for it.

Did the week meet your expectations?

Couldn't be more right here. We need to remember this, respect it and use it to our advantage rather than bickering over details.
Remember, fighting for what's most important is the most important. Leave the details for once the major battles are won.

Yikes!
I just looked at the Asian markets. They had a major crash overnight. It will be interesting to see what happens today.

If a shooting war erupts in South America we are in serious trouble with oil prices and the dollar. But the one good thing it will do is cause a massive public outcry to seal our southern borders, amen to that!
You realise there is just as
You realise there is just as much oil in Alaska as there is in Saudi Arabia! The real question is why doesn't it make it to our refineries? Why are there no new oil rigs built in the US? All the oil we need is right there isn't it?
Very nice post.
Now time to find that hookah.
Good Post... watch Palladium as well...

I almost bought a chunk of palladium at 320, then
when it hit 370 I figured I'd wait for it to go back to like 340 or something.
Duh....
Too your third point

Nice... I have a Palestinian friend who is a Ron Paul supporter now.
But to your third point, I agree. We can quibble about small things once we can protect our mutual interests by turning the big-gov trend around. Nothing else matters much if that fails.

Speaking of Chavez, did you
read this article:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080303/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/venezu...
Simply amazing that Chavez is basically saying that we are also a true enemy, and put us in the same category as terrorists as well. Unfortunately for the U.S. 75% of our troops are overseas fighting for oil, and who knows what else, so that leaves us on our own to fight off any army from a foreign nation that may decide to attack our nation, including Venezula, but you didn't hear that from me.
Yeah, you have a point
Living in a border state (Texas), I was none too happy to read the reports about the Mexican army making incursions into the United States. It seemed to go over most people's heads that we were (are) literally being invaded. That being said, it's a long way from Venezuela to the United States. If they were to invade by sea, they would have to get through the Coast Guard, if they invaded by land, they would have to get past several air force bases that are close to the Mexican border; and undoubtedly, the militia would be called up. I have no doubt that we would crush Venezuela if they ever tried to invade the United States.
Don't worry too much about Venezuela, or any of this stuff that you hear about in the news. It's meant to scare you. Worry when you wake up one morning and there is a complete communications blackout. Then you will know it's time to head for the hills.

LOL Venezuela invading the
LOL Venezuela invading the US??? Never happen, any "war" they or any other country carries out against the US will be by way of proxy. Our enemies will find a way of kicking us when we're down. Right now we can't really respond to much and our economy is our achilles heel. Our enemies no longer need to invade. They just need us to destroy ourselves economicly and weather the storm should we retaliate. I don't think Chaves would posture this way unless he thought it posible to weather an American storm.
"But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Constitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it."
That border has a 50 mile swath of land on each side.
It is now a U.N. trust property illegally bequeathed by a former Texas governor named George W. Bush. They have to undertake these programs a little step at a time to coordinate with the short attention span of the public who can't fathom the long term objectives of the NWO.

Positive Transformation
I look at these financial times and I think about a black hole. We are at a point on a course that can no longer be changed. We're getting closer and closer to the vortex. I am personally trying to visualize a positive transformation as we pass through to the other side, and I implore as many people as possible to join me in that visualization. This is a positive message of hope, love and gratitude. Light destroys darkness.

this could be the catalyst for change that creates a new america. America has never fully lived up to the vision of its founders. Imagine if we could be the start of the second revolution. A new, better america. It's inspiring, and possible.
Out of every destruction comes creation.

Good post
Two quick things to add:
1. Misuse of the word "education". There is nothing wrong with being educated. It is "programming" or "propaganda" that you are talking about. Education relies on substantiated facts.
2. Lewis Caroll wrote Alice in Wonderland as a satire of the judicial system that he observed in his day. Frank L. Baum wrote The Wizard of Oz to warn of the takeover of the monetary system.
Thanks
1. It was a poor summary of a quote made by Bertrand Russell: "Men are born ignorant, not stupid. They are made stupid by education." Again, probably better said as "...made stupid by the system of education." In my experience, my undergraduate and graduate education was programming and propaganda primarily geared to get me and my classmates to believe Keynesian voodoo is applicable and okay as a system of economics, on an international level.
Now, I study metalsmithing at a small, private art school. I find it to be a much happier and fulfilling existence.
2. Although I would suggest to anyone to put on their silver slippers and travel down the yellow brick road, the only "educator" that I can remember from the book was the Wizard. Although I post more on issues of economics than judicial matters, I identify more with the Caterpillar than the Wizard because I feel I am sitting at the bottom of the rabbit hole. Not to mention I find the character of the Wizard creepy. It is my guess that the progeny of the Robber Barons still see themselves as "Oz, great and terrible." In their eyes benevolent dictators, but dictators none the less.

You said everything I was feeling but couldn't get out. Thank you!
The only thing the axis of evil had in common wasthe banker were
not welcome! all 6 or 7 countries iraq, iran, syrria,n korea, venesula and 1 or 2 more they are fighting off the new world order by keeping the devils out?
What is wrong with that? I wish we had ballls like other countries do!
another one was
CUBA! Imagine, all of our "enemies"! The petro dollar is another part of the story, especially when it comes to the middle east!
The true root of all this is ZIONISM
They need global meltdown from the middle east to america to carry out the new world order. The end is what they need not a victory, just total death and destuction pushed foward by so few and they control so many!
ww3/4/5 coming soon to a neighborhood near you!TOTAL DEVISTATION is a win to the devil and a total loss to G D

If our movement never gets real wheels its because of idiotic obsession with Zionism and particular groups etc.
The real root problem is STATISM. Americans have a deep-rooted political culture of mistrusting the government and of looking to local communities and free market solutions...we need to appeal to that good nature; not drum up paranoia and delusion.

the way i look at it is, you know, some people call it statism, some people call it globalism, the cfr, the anti-christ, zionism, the new world order, the empire, the international banking cartel. What's more important then naming the enemy, I think, is understanding that we want a free america and whoever the enemy is, the root of their power is the central bank.

The Middle East is going to blow wide open. We are stuck there. Now Latin America. No resources. Oil prices way, way, up. How Israel conducts it's foreign policy is just as important as the crazy neo-con's behavior. Zionism does not equal jew. It is an aggressive foreign policy that has gotten their people killed for years. It has also created a couple billion enemies. It is a belief held by some in Israel. Not everybody.
