ROGER. OUT!---Good Luck Daily Pauler's

How great is it that no one actually reads the post? 90% of the comments on this thread have nothing to do with what I had posted.
So much for trying to inform and contrast.

oh my dear god.
go cry in a corner yuh pansy.
work it out on your own time for pete's sake.
Nice one, Costanza!
You can't give a big speech about leaving, only to slink back in to leave more comments. Nice attempt at causing a ruckus. You managed over 140 comments, so feel vindicated. You shouldn't take posts so personally. Get a thicker skin dude. They're just words on a screen meant to get such a reaction. You can ignore em. It's easy. I do it daily.
BYE?
Well, the story is complete. We have all the characters.
The villians, the victims, the hero. Some people simply give up. Some people need a reason to give up. In this authors story, the cause of giving-up is external. An evil group of people who threaten the authors very existence(on the DP anyhow). The author is also representing all veterans, because every hero needs someone to save. It would be boring to see Superman save himself all the time. The author is in need of some Lois Lane's. Well, I'm not Lois Lane and do not need saving. I spent four years in the suck and do not need saving from anyone or anything. Bring it on. I missed the threads mentioned in the authors forum topic, so if anyone cares to debate them again, I'll be glad to do so. Anyhow, LTBjorgaard.....just give up because that's what you want to do. Not because someone is making you give up. Once 2008 rolled around, my activity at the DP dropped dramatically, simply because I was busy trying to get RP the nomination. I am still trying to get RP the nomination as my states primary has yet to be held. I read a post in this thread explaining how the rEVOLution was never just about the 2008 presidential election. The author of that post is correct. The presidential election is the rally cry so to speak. The tools the rEVOLution needs are things such as knowing Roberts Rules of Order, how to form a sentence, and the knowledge that your brain will not melt if you use it longer than ten minutes. I'll wager that 80% or more of the people who frequent the DP do not know what their precinct number is. That's why RP hasn't done as well as THEY expected. Look in the mirror LTBjorgaard if you want someone to blame. It's a great possibility that many people at the DP have been quitting their entire lives....why CHANGE now?

Nothing wrong with military,
Nothing wrong with military, every nation has them.
The problem is how they are used and that the people that decide to go to war don´t actually go fight themselves, but send others to die instead.
I wonder how many wars would break out if the ones voting for it had to go fight in them. It would be the moral thing.

actually
every nation doesn't have them.
and i'd love to not.
but that's neither here nor there.
It would also be a "I don't want to die" thing
For sure
Update
My experience here at Daily Paul has been similar to yours, the only real difference being the particular issues (I generally avoid participating in military-related threads because I've found that they seem to attract some very emotional and sometimes extremely opinionated people). I'm going to assume that you and I are here at DP to learn and share. Since this is an open forum (for the most part), there are going to be people that create distraction and try to push our buttons, regardless of the topic. My personal challenge is to stick it out here at DP until I master the art of learning and sharing without being frustrated and upset by the people intent on creating distraction from the issues. I'm determined to get better at ignoring those people and giving them no more consideration than I would the noise of traffic out on the street. I have found this challenge to be rewarding, so far. I've been at it now for almost 24 hours.
To the person who originated
To the person who originated this thread:
You know, last night when you originally posted this, I was with you. But when I came back this morning to see that your thread was not only still active but that you had ADDED to it was really kind of .... well, almost disingenous, IMO. You felt strongly enough about this place to have your little diatribe, which is your right. We got it. So why are you still here, then after ranting about why you cannot stay? If you're done with this site, be done, for crying out loud! Sheesh ....
HOLD ON, GROW UP VETS!
I'm a former Army SGT. I was in during our first desert vacation. I've trained police officers in DT, etc. I'm familiar with both communities. What is all this bitching by vets here? I'll bet more then half are NOT former military. Civilians have been great during this conflict. That is obvious. However, they are allowed to have negative feelings toward an illegal war that slaps down the US Constitution. You know, the thing we swore to protect. This forum has had some "anti" police/military threads. I addressed the poster and moved on. I did not make some silly show out of my "hurt" feelings and try to submarine the entire forum. That is pathetic. Grow up. This Revolution needs mature heroes.

It's a big tent...Hang around.
I am a police officer and I
I am a police officer and I hope you will stay. It does get ugly in here at times but I think we can learn from each other. Oh,thank you for your service to our country.
I'm not going anywhere
I'm a soldier currently in Afghanistan as I write this. I'm not going anywhere. I'm in this Daily Paul and Ron Paul Revolution for LIFE!!!!
You need to stick around.
You should stay for this reason. For us to be successful we need as many points of views as possible. To insure a proper course we need to have heated debates here. Believe me, I get fired up about many things here and openly express my feelings about it. It is good that you are angry. Fire back hard and let us know about it. But don't leave. If we cant work through these issues here than this world is truly doomed. Our military is outstanding and most of us here understand the real problem with the war and its not our soldiers. We need you my friend.

On the Military
Just a comment, I support our military personnel because I believe in liberty. Our soldiers were not drafted, beaten, or coerced into service. They, of their own free will, decided that they would defend our country and our constitution by killing others and putting themselves into danger with the possibility of themselves being harmed or giving the ultimate sacrifice. They are a blessing (and a necessary force for any country) because not all are willing to step up to such a burden of their own free will.
Now what strikes me as odd is the fact that all the people supporting ron paul also are in effect supporting liberty. Yet for some reason they believe that other people are making 'bad choices' for being in the military. It's just a hard fact of life that we as a country need a military. And another hard fact of life is that military personnel's duty is to kill. The last hard fact of life is that a military can only be run by people accepting orders from others following a chain of command.
It is not the military personnel's fault for the death of children, women and other non-combatants, even if they are the one pulling the trigger on such people. (This is not a 'nazi' type issue where 'I was just following orders' type of thing, If you don't see the difference... may god have mercy on your dimwitted soul) The ultimate fault and blame lies directly at the point of command, our very own commander in chief. And who might that be? All the venom and hatred spewed at the fine men and women, that serve of their own free will, is misdirected.
Blame those that took us to war.(Bush) Blame those that keep us in war (the Senate and House). Blame those that threw out the constitution (Damn near every government official). Because if it was not for their actions, all of the horrible things that have happened would have never taken place.
Lastly... blame Bush and his cronies and hold those bastards accountable till the day they die and even further till your children's children's children know their names and their deeds in horrifying detail. Let us not forget (how we got here).
Don't blame the American people for which a majority oppose the war. Don't blame the military for most of them just want to come home in one piece.
This may be slightly off topic but it struck me as I read your post.
LTBjorgaard
May I encourage you to take a break if you need to, I did. But I keep coming back, because I will never give up on the Ron Paul message.
I am continually developing thicker and thicker skin. As a true, non-main-stream, non-religious, Bible believing Christian, I get all kinds of flak from disrespectful heathens that are that way because theyt don't even respect God. Those who do not respect God are more likely to be disrespectful of others, after all, its "survival of the fittest," right?
Stay in the game. Fight for principles. Ignore the ignorant!

BLESS YOU, you are the ~ ABSOLUTE BEST ~
and my humble thanks for your incredible service...
it's always "only a few bad apples"
Every single time the military is caught bombing another newspaper, another school, another civilian market, torturing helpless prisoners, running drugs out of Vietnam, invading a country under false pretenses, fabricating another "unprovoked assault" on a military ship, dropping cluster bombs that look conveniently like UN food packages, murdering your own star soldiers who had begun to turn anti-war...
Every time you guys get caught, it's always "just a few bad apples, the rest are good". EVERY TIME.
Except, of course, for those times you dont get get COMPLETELY caught, and there's just enough wiggle-room for the koolaid-drinking appologists to spin away your guilt in some fantasy of logic and rhetoric.
Im glad that you support Ron Paul. What I find unfortunate is the number of Ron Paul supporters, conservative and liberal alike, who fail to understand how they have blood on their hands (figuratively or literally) in some very un-Paul way. And you figure we're so desperate for votes, that we'll buy into any fantasy of your own innocence that you present to us, playing on our fear of dissuading you and your kind from supporting our man.
Well, some of us are that desperate. They'd welcome Ghengis Khan, if GK would bring in the Mongol demographic.
But some of us, like Ron Paul, stick to our principles. That's what a principle is, something you dont just compromise away.
Soldiers, like cops, are directly and personally responsible for any crimes they commit with their own hands. I dont care what you tell each other, what you tell yourselves, or what your bosses tell you.
The KKK has a reputation for lynching blacks. The Army of God has a reputation for bombing abortion clinics. The Italian Mafia has a reputation for icing deadbeats. These aren't unjust sweeping generalizations that are unfair to individual members of these organizations.
US soldiers commit moral crimes. Murder, larceny, rape, theft, torture. Killing innocent muslim patriots defending their own country, so you can get a college grant. Real American there.
Like the Mafia, you cant really be a member otherwise.
An aggressive unjustified war is the closest thing Ive ever seen to outright evil.
US cops commit moral crimes. Murder, kidnapping, theft, torture, extortion. You cant enforce an unjust law, without committing injustice. And our books are piled high with unjust laws.
Im sure Ron Paul thanks you for your support. I know I do. But that doesnt buy you absolution for the cancer upon humanity of which your crimes are a part.
I dont think I can put it in any simpler terms.
-Van
Spot on.
Well said. Criminal wars are not fought by heroes, but by criminals. The heroes are the few who refused deployment to Iraq, an immoral and unconstitutional war of aggression. Only those few can be said to be defending the Constitution, the others are a disgrace to America -- and to the human race.

Holy Crap
No wonder we can't get any support and people call us kooks.....I sure as hell hope you rethink your insane attitude
JLH is a troll
ignore his comments. Just another clown.
Dave
How did we do in the primaries last night ?...5% in our home state of Texas ! you people are killing us...You can't be ANTI-EVERYTHING...
How did "we"
You don't support RP JLH, asshole. You are a loser who finds it amusing to harass RP supporters that are trying to defend the US Constitution. That is beyond pathetic.
We did great last night. The message is moving forward, RP won his seat, Huck dropped out, The dollar is tanking giving RP more exposure, things are going very well. This Revolution will take years. Most of us know that. It was never all about this election. Never.
You tell me
how is 5% in texas, 20 or so delegates mean going well ?..and have you noticed donations lately....The GOP would draft Romney or Huckabee before they would give us the nomination..I know you don't like to hear about how the real world actually works, but that's reality...How could it not be about the election, and I mean president because a ten term congressman sure as hell better hold his seat, when people are still posting here that we will still get the nomination
JLH, you have a loser mentality
I'm sure it is reflected in your life. Ron Paul is NOT the Revolution, he started it. This will take time. I hope most RP supporters get this. Winning at the convention has happened before. It is possible. Only losers bow their head and walk away. Thank God our founders did not heed the advice of just about everyone. "You can't beat the British". JLH, this would be easier for you if we all just gave up. It would reflect the weakness inside you. Sorry buddy. We will not give up hope or stop spreading the message. My group is growing and we are getting heavily involved in our local REP party. We have NO plans on slowing down. This is about the Constitution and that can never die or lose an election. Time to grow up JLH and play with the big boys.
NO
I'm realistic, but you are correct, it has happened before, but not by a candidate the party despises....and this isn't 1776....And I don't favor giving up, I favor stopping the crap that has hurt us...you can educate people on the economy without trying to simply scare the piss out of them, that hasn't worked......And trust, no matter how bad things may get no one wants to hear hey dumb ass I told you so....
"The Party"
It takes a twenty minute conversation to turn a real Rep to RP. That is why my group has put education above all else. We will become very, very educated on fiscal matters, Constitution, History, Rep party history, etc. The Rep party is shrinking. The tiny minority that tries to control it will fail and we will return to our REP principals and the membership will grow. Even Dems are jumping ship. Many liberals now see their party for what it is, traitors. The Dem party has sold out it's activist. HR 1955 will hover over liberal groups and snatch them up one by one. That was introduced by a DEM. We can do this JLH. It will not be easy. We have to try. Remember, future generations will look back and we will provide motivation to them. Our Founders did the same for us. They never quit. They did the impossible.
don't go. please.
don't go. please.
Please...
Don't let a few bad apples ruin it for all of us. I support our troops and Dr. Paul. I agree some people get a little too crazy with some of this stuff. That's usually when I have to turn the computer off and walk away for a few. Remember for ever few who are very vocal there are many more who don't subscribe to that line of thought and just aren't as vocal. Also I'm not above thinking a few bad apples have infected dailypaul just to drive the good ones out. Really, there IS good and bad in every group. Don't let them drive you out. : )
