Pervasive Republican result lags
Submitted by foontala on Tue, 03/04/2008 - 19:16
Has anyone ever noticed the noticeable lag in time that occurs between getting the Democrat and Republican votes together and released? I mean sometimes it is like hours difference (Washington State).
Just now, CNN is not releasing the VT Exit poll for Republicans, ut is for Democrats. Still, they are giving the state to McCain, with NO evidence or numbers or county tables. What's up with that:?
This primary season, the Democrats consistently have released their final voting results and exit polls quicker than the Republicans, and yet the Democrats have more than twice the number of voters than Republicans!
How can it take so much longer to count less than half of the votes????

Common Sense
The D's are highly motivated to find out who won because it's close and it makes a difference. The R's know who won, and so does the press. It doesn't matter.
Everyone involved is more focussed on the D's.
The main thing in Texas is that as most people watch the returns from their Lazyboys, the Ron Paul supporters will be electing delegates, right?

That's because
The people in VT would never vote for McCain. I grew up there. Last I heard they had a ton of people for Ron Paul. VT is a caucus state and few people show up. It wouldn't surprise me if he won and they're try to fudge the numbers.

Yes
I've noticed that.
And it's democratic, not democrat. Democrat is a noun. Democratic is an adjective.
