The Revolution Continues (Candidacy Announcment)

Dear Fellow Liberty Minded Friends:

This year and the previous year has found us fighting for our liberty
and freedom in America. Just as the early American revolutionaries who struggled against odds that seemed meager at best, America finds itself in a similar situation once again. Our leader Ron Paul has been the torchbearer for our own revolution, and many of us continue to support him as we head towards the Republican National Convention. Just as the early American revolutionaries were victorious, so will our revolution.

While candidates speak of change, and others of experience; their arguments are mute. Change counts for nothing if there is no action. Our revolution has action. Experience counts for nothing if there is no passion. Our revolution has passion. When combined, action and passion are what make the ordinary person an extraordinary person.

Our revolution is not about one man. It’s about all of us; the
extraordinary among the ordinary. We fight for our liberties that have been tossed aside when our great Constitution was forgotten by the established powers in the halls of government, but we haven’t
forgotten. Our society has been turned upside down with the false
belief that our rights are granted by the government, but rather the
truth rings loud in these hollowed words:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

We have taken heed to these words and are now in the process of taking back our government to do what it was designed to do: secure our rights. As our revolution continues we must not become discouraged.

On December 23, 1776, with Washington's dispirited and suffering
soldiers retreating across the freezing Delaware, Thomas Paine wrote, "These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it NOW, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman." We will not be the summer soldiers of our time.

This is why with great excitement I am announcing my candidacy for
Hawaii’s Congressional District 1. I am committed to furthering our
revolution and spreading the message of liberty. We have burdened ourselves with a foreign policy that is draining our resources. With our economy in shambles we are stretching the dollar as far as it will go. Our education system is well behind those of other nations. Special interest has become a virus disconnecting the representatives from those they claim to represent. The United States of America, once the envy of the world, is now facing troubled times. I believe that we can make America great again, and be the shining example that the world can look to.

I ask for your support not only monetarily, but with the fighting spirit
that has already given so much to the revolution. Our battle will not
be an easy one. My opponent has large sums of money at his disposal, and he has the backing of many special interest groups. Yet he will underestimate my determination to win this race, and he will underestimate the determination of all liberty minded supporters.

Please stand together with me as we combine passion and action to spread liberty throughout our great land.
