Lets hit McCain where it really hurts!!!!!!!
His own pocket book!
McCain's wife, Cindy, is the Hensley in Hensley, the nation's third-largest Anheuser-Busch distributor. Her father, Jim, founded the company 50 years ago, and she became the controlling stockholder of the privately held company upon his death in 2000. Cindy Hensley McCain is chairwoman of Hensley's board of directors.
Cindy McCain's family business and her other investments have long been the source of McCain's wealth, according to disclosure reports candidates are required to file. He is the seventh-richest senator by net worth, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a non-partisan, nonprofit group that tracks money spent in political campaigns.
The latest personal finances report, filed last May, shows assets worth a minimum of $27.5million for the McCains, with the company accounting for about half of that. The company portion does not include his wife's retirement plan from Hensley or the Anheuser-Busch stock held by her and their dependent children.

How about a boycott of Anheuser-Busch products. ALL OF THEM!
This may be difficult for some hard core Bud drinkers out there but I think in the long run it would be worth it!
Complete list of products sold by Anheuser-Busch click here:

Any thoughts on this? Could we hit the stock holders hard? Could they bring McCain to withdraw from the presidential race? I won't buy any of their products. How about you? This could be nation wide. Leave Anheuser-Busch products on the shelves to gather dust!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reminds me of Freedom Fries!
Remember Americans not eating french food because they wouldn't support the war? I do. My husband just opened a french restaurant at that time. Bad timing I know-- who would have guessed?

____________
The idea that we should have gotten angry with France because they didn't see us (the USA) having the right to attack Iraq (since Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11) -- actually made France look all the more intelligent, in my estimation.
That compounded with us (being told by our government) that we should stop eating FRENCH FRIES because France wasn't playing nice -- to instead eat the same damn thing but call them FREEDOM FRIES instead -- actually made us (the USA) come across looking like a bunch of school children fighting over who is stronger: Mickey Mouse or Superman.
And as I seem to recall, it was during this same period we were all told to go out and buy up all the rolls of duct tape and plastic sheeting we could find to place over our windows in our homes, i.e., to protect us from all the 'possible' coming nuclear fall out. Yeah, now that was a great idea based deeply in logic and understanding --
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
-- Sorry about your husband's business, but I would hope all is well since then.

Me too
Ron Paul has been a huge eye opener for me. I just want to sell everything, get a camper and go dog his every step. The world is so confusing and he has the inside track and understands it. I wish I didn't have to listen to anyone else.
I think "they" keep the democrats hot to keep anyone from looking for the real answer. Ron Paul.
email sent to me
This was sent to me in an email. You make up your mind on this one. Busch doesn't make this beer it distributes it in the U.S. Here's the email that was sent.
Message: I'm writing to you because I got really upset by a link you provided.I even registered here to message you. Your link to "Anheuser-Busch" beers also includes non-"Anheuser-Busch"beers!Manu from SABMiller, including one that has deep sentimental value to me,"Grolsch", which is owned by SABMiller. SABMiller is their biggest competitor! Don't believe me, here's a goodlink:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anheuser-Busch#Beverage_products If you don't change the link in two days, I won't send you a bottle of Grolsch, so you can taste the best beer in the world for yourself!
I still would like to hit the corporate candidate where it really hurts.
Remember the Keating 5. They didn't care that many lost money over their greed!

As I said in another thread, just don't donate (not that anyone here would anyway) and encourage others to mark their unhappiness by cutting the purse strings on McCain!

NO!
That would be like attacking Iraq because the terrorists are associated with its religion. Neither the Annheiser-Busch corporation nor its stockholders bear any responsibility here. Heck, there's not even any responsibility at issue -- only animus. This would be extremely unbecoming of Ron Paul supporters.
Yes
This is how you win a war against corporate shills.

His Father-In-Law was Associated With The Mafia
If you really want to go after him, get someone to investigate his involvement with the Mafia and his pushing the plan to have tax payers put of the money to build the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, recent home of the Super Bowl, and then for Hensley Distributing to be given the exclusive no-bid contract to sell beer in that very same stadium until 2018.
This is another reason....
Keep the word going....Don't purchase Busch products!

Drink Sam Adams instead!
It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.

hmmm, kind of blackmailish
Okay, it just sounds like blackmail to me, boycotting someone for running for the presidency, that's not cool

Anti-Bush, anti-Busch
Jesse Jackson was right about one thing.
"stay out da Bush's"
I'm not a user of any of Anheuser-Busch' products.
I'm assuming that being a distributor, they might also haul more than just AB products.
Are any Ron Paul supporters also owners of Micro-breweries?
I'd love to swig down a "Ron Paul Porter" someday.
Maybe Cindy Lou can distribute THAT for us?

haha.
Sieg Heil! Sounds like a
Sieg Heil!
Sounds like a Nazi philosphy to me. Go after their business on the basis of politics just because one of their distributors is a wife of a candidate. For starters, ever heard of free speech, freedom of assembly, etc?
Why promote freedom of speech, ohionforpaul
and not promote that that does hold responsibilities as well??
You cannot say anything you like, and imho you got some wires crossed.
I for one have my sincerest doubts that you are a sincere Ron Paul supporter.

Why not? It's this money
Why not? It's this money that helps to empower John McCain to do some of the things that he has done in Congress. McCain has already said that we will be in more wars and stated as well that Americans do not care if we are in wars for 100, 1000 or 10000 years.
If McCain intends to send our nation into perpetual war then I feel that maybe we should not be supporting him by purchasing products which help to fuel his efforts.
...
Hail to you!
Must be a McCain supporter!

For some reason i think people down with RP do not drink bud
something lol
Not a good....
Not a good idea. What has Anheuser-Busch done to deserve a boycott? If I recall, they have been more than helpful to alot of people in need, even going as far as bottling water for distasters all around the world (besides, in these trying times, Im not sure I can live without my Budlight). If you truly want to "hurt" McCain, hurt him at the polls and/or become a delegate.

Boycotting doesn't work...
unless you have THE MASSES doing it. And the masses won't stop drinking Bud for anything.
Think about it, Bill O'Reilly calls for "boycotts" all the time on his nationally-carried cable network tv show, but I don't hear about any companies losing tons of business from it. If they do lose a little business, they probably don't even notice it If they do notice it, they probably aren't sure what the real cause is.
Besides, these are publicly-traded companies. That means you aren't only hurting McCain when you boycott a company, but you are also hurting thousands of other Americans that own that stock. They don't buy the stock to support McCain, they buy it as an investment, or it might just happen to be one of the companies that they are invested in through their 401k.
Tell Jesse Jackson That!
His boycott off Denny's sure payed off.

I hate beer
and don't buy their products anyway.
It's an idea, but
As someone who believes in dealing with individuals, I don't like targeting a spouse, and I'm not sure what success would look like. I mean, if it's wildly successful, will it stop McCain? Or just cost him money? Or just get headlines? And whether it is or it isn't successful, how does that make us look?
I don't use their products, anyway, so my boycotting them won't help.
