Please Answer These Questions

Why is it that it seems that people of one persuasion control the news? Who decides who gets to broadcast news, and why can't we have our own news program? Is it the FCC?

Also, what is the job of the Federal Election Commission? Why are they not concerned about how a U.S. Congressman is being treated during this election?

I am not being cynical, I am just paying attention to things I have never paid attention to before because of Dr. Paul and would like answers from those of you who know. I have always found this to be a well-informed group and nobody I know seems to have the answers.

Thank you in advance.

Vote RON PAUL 2008

To Answer your question---

This is an excerpt from a letter I wrote and I researched it well. The number of presidential candidates has dwindled to 4, but of those 4, all but Ron Paul have ties to the CFR.
Pay special attention to the quote from David Rockefeller in the last paragraph re the news media.

It has long been a fact the the road to the White House passes through the Council on Foreign Relations. Having learned that CFR membership can be a red flag with informed voters, candidates frequently cozy up to the council without formally joining. Examining the candidates currently in the presidential race at this time, we find the following facts:

DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES

Hillary Clinton is not a CFR member, but her husband, Bill Clinton is. She has recently authored an article for the Nov/Dec 2007 issue of the CFR journal, Foreign Affairs, and has several times been a guest speaker before the council. Her policy advisors include CFR heavyweights Madeleine Albright, Samuel Berger, Leslie Gelb, and Strobe Talbott, to name a few.

Senator Barack Obama authored an article for the July/Aug. Foreign Affairs and has appeared at least once on the CFR speaker program. His CFR advisers include Zbigniew Brzezinski, Ivo Daalder, Anthony Lake, and Lawrence Korb. In his book, The Audacity of Hope, Obama writes, "I have to side with Justice Breyer's view of the Constitution--that it is not a static but rather a living document and must be read in the context of an ever-changing world."

John Edwards also has ties to the CFR. It is my understanding he will be dropping out of the race today, so I won't enumerate them.

REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES

John McCain is a current member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and stated in an article he authored for Foreign Affairs: "I will aggressively promote global trade liberalization at the World Trade Organization------". His CFR advisers include Bernard Aronson, Max Boot, Lawrence Eagleburger, and Henry Kissinger.

Mitt Romney authored an article "Rising to a New Generation of Global Challenges" in the July/August 2007 issue of CFR's Foreign Affairs publication. His CFR advisers include Mitchell Reiss, V. Manuel Rocha, Steven Schrage, and Vin Weber.

Mike Huckabee, though not a member, spoke to the CFR in September this year. Since then his political star has risen to the point that he has become a top-tier candidate.

Representative Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate that has NO connections to the Council on Foreign Relations. A document with his position on globalism can be found at this link: http://ronpaullibrary.org/document.php?id=911 Congressman Paul is a proponent of limited government, low taxes, a noninterventionist foreign policy, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. Dr. Paul makes a point of never voting for a bill unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. Dr. Paul opposes the planned North American Union, and would withdraw from so-called free-trade deals that compromise U. S. sovereignty.

Are you wondering WHY you don't see mention of Ron Paul on the major news outlets? Who do you suppose also controls the media? You guessed it, the Council on Foreign Relations! A quote from David Rockefeller who is currently listed as an Honorary Chairman of the CFR on their website, “We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the light of publicity during those years. But now the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supra-national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”

You will find some of the advisers listed for the presidential candidates above are on the CFR Board of Directors.

The FCC

controls acces to the airwaves. Recently they have allowed a great amount of media consolidation. Their are strict controls on the public airwaves. Only 5 companies now control the mainstream american media. The heads of these companies are all players in the political scene. (CFR members and such.)

We can use public access tv, but as it stands, broadcasting our own signals would be considering pirating the airwaves.

The FCC is extremely corrupt, and it is basically a bunch of Bush and Clinton appointees.
