Blame America First ?

Blame America First crowd is their argument. A local talking head tried to use this on me today. I hear it commonly used from scoundrels and cowards trying to cloak themselves in the shadows of Patriotism.

My answer: I calmly stated that the archithects that decided to illegally invade another country, occupy their land and steal their resources are neither American nor Patriotic In fact they are UnAmerican and their actions need to be scutinized and most importantly, they put our soldiers in impossible situations and put the U.S. at constant risk of retaliation.

By the look in his eye, I can tell he knew I was on the right side of truth, so he decided he had an important engagement and he left.

I just wanted to share this answer to some of you that will surely encounter this shallow accusation

Tell Me Lies Tell Me Sweet Little Lies

When someone calls me out they usually try to lable me a Liberal.

I remind them that the US invasion and occupation of Iraq is one of the most liberal applications of our military imaginable.

Then I'll ask them if they found out their neighbor lied to them more than once or twice, would they ever trust anything that neighbor ever told them again?

The answer is always no.

Then I say lying is standard operating procedure for our government and most every government there ever was.

Why should we trust anything they tell us?

In a way I feel bad for them

In a way I feel bad for them because I hear the news theme in their arguments. It's obvious that over 70% of Americans get their "education" from the news.
