I dunno bout you but I think this sh#t is falling apart. You should see the emails. People are going to the Libertarian Party, Constitution Party, Green Party, some want to write in, some back to the Dems, some back to the Reps.... Some just aren't gonna vote.

I remember someone saying they felt like they got punched in the gut when Dr. Paul said he wasn't running third party. Well... I can understand that now.

We are divided. We have no leader. We are once again lost.
I am feeling a bit let down right now.
If we were to run third party we would be excited once again. We would have months to save up money. We could actively recruit more to our movement.

At times like these
Try to think: WHY do I want/need to hear from Ron Paul?
What do I expect or want him to say?
I think I'd like him to say: OK folks. Now's it's full steam ahead. Our chances are better than ever. Let's do this, and this, and this.
Maybe he is getting ready to say that. Maybe not. Remember, he has said that he has been very surprised at the incredible success so far. Maybe he needs to be shocked again.
I think what we don't fully grasp is that Ron Paul may not be an ambitious power-hungry politician who is consumed with winning the presidency. That's great for America, but hard for a campaign. We have to be the fire, I guess.
Under a Ron Paul presidency we will have to think on our own and take care of ourselves. This is a way of life. This campaign is helping us to do that. We are learning to rely on our own resources. No dictator president giving us speeches and directing our every move. No fed (campaign) taking care of our lives. No moneybomb (taxes) collecting up the big bucks and then paying for staff and ineffective advertising. Use your dollars doing what is right for you and your neighborhood! Skip the money bomb and buy your own signs. Make up fliers and mail them to your neighbors. Contribute to specific projects that YOU think will work. Prepare your family for financial hard times and disasters, so that the government won't have to take care of you.....any other ideas?

We have to think beyond 08, as well as keep supporting Paul and Paul like minded candidates.

Keep the faith brother, we will take over if we keep hammering home how American socialism is heading for a big fall.
Remind people were the largest debtor nation in the world because of socialist politicians.
Change debate from making new government programs to defecit and especially the debt. Tell them the only way to fix things is start cutting programs drastically, reducing or reforming them to make things trim and efficient.
Balanced Budgets, reducing spending, making existing programs smaller, etc... ought to be the subjects of every debate we enter into.
From security to economy people need to know we must become a lendor nation to remain strong and survive.

As is obvious from so many of the comments here, there are a lot of people who need to hear from Ron. On the conference call (3/5), he didn't sound discouraged or ready to give up and we need to hear that. It seems there are a lot of sheep looking for their shepherd here.

Come on, is this not obvious??? We are the leaders. Stop waiting. Every single one of us has to become a leader. Ron Paul is not Christ. This Revolution dies when it's supporters stand around waiting for a "leader".

Prime example? The Granny march that the Grannies organized as "leaders", while we wait for HQ to even set a date.
Look at how they were attacked for their "leadership" on this forum alone. And they were not alone. How many others who have also taken the initiative were harshly attacked on DP, as well?
If we are all supporting RP for President to lead our country, is it too much to ask that RP and the HQ staff that he hired as employees demonstrate leadership/management skills in the running of the campaign?
Or, if RP is elected as President, will all the Cabinets "do their own things", as well, with no coordination to meet a common goal?
If something like the TV series "Jericho" were to happen (9/11 attacks in 15 cities), who would make the decisions to take what actions and how long would those decisions take?

So, how then do "we" get our hands on the campaign checkbook...
Because unlike Messrs. Snyder, Moore & Co. *I* believe that:
1) Advertising can and does work.
2) The money was donated for the campaign to advertise.
3) Therefore the money should be used for that purpose.
4) That since the "official" campaign is doing nothing, there is NO need for Messrs. Snyder, Moore & Co. to be drawing salaries.
So, if you and/or "we" are somehow now in charge, I say hand over the checkbook.
Until you can do that... you've being fed a line of bull.

to be realistic here you need to realize he has a budget of only 6 mil right now...not a whole lot.... considering its a long way to November and with donations just down to a trickle! So he is having to be cautious with what there is until he knows more is coming in! Its going to take ALOT more than 6 mil !!!
1.) Could HQ be better?...yes!
2.) Could we be better? ..yes! Need MORE donations, precinct leaders, delegates, canvassing
3.) Can we do much about 1.) ?? No
4.) Can we do much about number 2.) ? Yes!
I am not disheartened ...just the opposite! Ron Paul is still in as long as we continue to grow and send the money necessary for the campaign.

It doesn't take an "evil empire"-
Rather obviously AWOL ...at least as far as the Pres Campaign.
I would expect that much like with the Feb 5th debacle, we will not hear anything from the "official" campaign until near the end of the week, probably Friday or Saturday (why then? because on the weekend, calls to HQ can be more justifiably "disposed of" with the standard "I'm sorry they're not in." line).
The "message" will consist of a rather confusing (misleading? ambiguous? poorly worded?) email will likely be sent out nationwide from someone at HQ... and instead of clarifying anything, said email will probably confuse people even more.
Dozens of different explanations, excuses and theories will be propounded on various forums as to what the email *really* means, etc.
All to be "corrected" by some later minor half-hearted attempt (meaning one with *limited* distribution) from the candidate/campaign in the form of a Blog post or video clip which seeks to "clarify" the message for any negativity or problems with the previous message and throws the blame on some minor, unnamed, "staffer" for sending the wrong email, or sending it too soon, or perhaps that the dog accidentally hit the "Send" button by mistake.
(OK... you can start with the troll accusations now...)

Are you on the official campaign's email list? Ron Paul sends messages out via that somewhat often. I'm sure everyone is waiting excitedly for the next video message - I know we all can't get enough of our Champion.
Here's some good news for you. One of my acquaintances was all for Obama. We have very good political chat whenever we are hanging out at a friend's place. Anyhow, we asked him why he supported Obama... he couldn't quite figure it out other than to say he was for change. Sure enough, two weeks later that acquaintance is now supporting John McCain. He says it's because he doesn't trust Obama or Clinton to keep us safe from the terrorists. Me and my other friend advised him that McCain doesn't care if we are in war for 100 years, 1000 or 10000 years. I asked him how he expects the U.S. to pay for all that war when we are already going broke. I expect that within the next few weeks he will be joining our revolution.
Two other friends of mine are asking about Ron Paul more often now as well. They are also Democrats, but it looks like they are searching for better options.
People are gravitating towards our revolution. As Ron Paul says, freedom is popular. It really is, regardless of political affiliation Americans do love our freedom. When given the chance at true freedom, peace and prosperity most of us run towards it and don't look back.
Things are getting much, much better for the revolution. Especially now that there are only two.

I'm from Texas, we got 5% and I'm stoked
We went to our precinct conventions and everyone who went became a delegate. We are a force already in our local GOP. I feel like a weight has lifted off my shoulders in some ways. I no longer think that RP is going to get the nomination, I no longer care, I now am more confident than ever that we are going to win the war. It is Zen like, like a Japanese movie where the hero of the story dies, but in defeat he wins. It is like Obiwan Kenobi getting killed by Darth Vader, they think they won but they just planted the seeds of their own destruction.
Third party is no answer, we are a fractious 5% of the population that will sit in the corner and argue amongst itself. In the GOP, we are 5% of the population that will shape the future of the party, will eventually dominate the leadership and will do it by educating, explaining and cooperating with the other 75% of the GOP (and 50% of the Democrats) that share most of our views but have just forgotten. These elections measure the breadth of support of a candidate, it doesn't measure the depth, but what happens after and between the elections is much more a matter of depth, and commitment, than that of breadth, and it is there that we are making a difference.

Is an excellent point, and it can be used in finding new converts. When people give you the "oh, he's still running?" line or the "I like him but he can't win" line, take a few minutes to explain to them how we are taking over the GOP from the inside out.
