When we go to DC for the march
One thing that is important is that each one of us MAKES AN APPOINTMENT with our congressmen and visits each of them! I have gone to DC with R-CALF USA (a cattle industry group) to lobby for mandatory Country of Origin Labeling, and we make appts ahead of time, have specific subjects to talk about, and tell them how important it is to us.
Since June 21st is a Saturday, and many congressmen go home every weekend, we should make the appts for Thurs or Fri or Monday. That way we will call their attention to the fact we are marching FOR constitutional govt on Saturday so they will be paying attention.
If we coordinate our subjects to talk about ahead of time, and each group says the same thing, they will be impressed.
Everyone should do this!
Also, if you want to be able to tour the Whitehouse or the Capitol building, you should let your congressman know ahead of time before all the slots are filled. We lucked out and got Whitehouse tours at the last minute, but this rarely happens.

My Meetup group has decided to get actively involved in the upcoming Ron Paul March...not just by attending but by helping make sure it actually takes place. The bottom line is, we believe that if left in the bureaucratic hands of campaign HQ, the march may never get off the ground. Imagine thousands upon thousands marching in Minneapolis.... The media certainly would be there.... the Ron Paul delegates would definitely feel empowered... and the rest of them might give a thought to the fact that the People are behind RP....

I see her point and think a huge presence at the Convention would be great, but I also think a freedom March (not a RP march) on DC needs to be done. We need to show the establishment we are not going away. Plus, it could have an impact before the Convention.

I see you changed your basic remarks. I'll let mine stand as they addess your initial remarks far better. What you did (in changing your post) was make your remarks less favorable to RON PAUL for some unexplained reason (?????). That's your right to do of course.
But there have been more important MARCHES recognized outside of the importance of VIETNAM.
FYI: I'm a Vietnam Vet (1966-67) Cat Lai & Saigon (16 months in total). I believe this particular RON PAUL MARCH FOR FREEDOM to be far more important.
