Maybe I missed this....is it being done or worked on??

YO!
Has anyone discussed the idea of having a central website in each state that informs citizens of bills being introduced, senators names, congressman's names, contact info, etc?? One that sends updates to email addresses concerning bills that are constitutional and should be passed and vice versa.
I know we are working hard to save the constitution by gunning for the highest office of government first, but it would be a HUGE help if citizens of every state had regular updates and contact info for their representatives so we can MAKE them voice our vote.
IT'S TIME WE ORGANIZE!!.....so, is this being done or what?

Downsizedc.org..... Kudos again... Great site.... I posted a thread about it but NOBODY'S paying attention! :o( If people started paying attention to the posts that mattered instead of trying to get on kook shows then maybe we'd get somewhere!!
NONE BUT PAUL!
I bought this domain name, if someone wants to use it. I thought it would be nice to have a place for all Ron Paul Republicans / Libertartians, running for public office, to gather support of the revolution.
Could be broken down to individual states, counties, cities, etc. Imagin all the power of the Ron Paul revolution getting city Mayors elected.
Have you got hosting for it?

DownsizeDC.org is a great place to start. I have personally gotten many of my liberal friends to sign up with them just based on some of the links I have forwarded from the DownsizeDC newsletters. Another great resource is http://washingtonwatch.com/.

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED!!! SIGN UP SOLDIERS!! Let's make our reps voice our vote.
Great site!...so far
Thanks Allen!!
So, how many "watch-dogs" do you have? My desire would be to see any and all unconstitutional activities be exposed and emailed to us all IMMEDIATELY. How many people do you have pitching in and keeping a watchful eye?
Let's say some schmuck from NC introduces a bill that has some hidden language that would be unconstitutional and would obviously PISS US OFF. My hope is www.lawfulgov.org catches this and sends the quick and accurate overview of the malicious intent and emails us the names of all reps, phone, email, address, etc. from every state.
We simply click a link that adds us to a petition and/or contact our reps ourselves.
Will www.LawFulgov.org do this? If so, I'll donate and help in anyway possible.
P.S. just saw this site http://www.downsizedc.org/index.shtml - looks good. Is it possible that dailypaul.com with all of it's traffic can help spear head this? YOU OUT THERE Mike?
What do ya think of this site?

LawfuGov.Org!
Yes! You musta missed it in all your earlier excitement! :-)
Check out www.LawfulGov.Org.
It doesn't take 50 domain names. And the solution has to be (is) scalable down to the precinct. That's 50 states, 13 Federal Judiciary Circuits, 435 congressional districts, who-knows-how-many statehouse districts, 3016 counties, 180,000 precincts....
We'll be talking about a lot more than just bills that are pending; there will be a limited-government candidate-rating tool, a really big focus on fundraising and lawsuits against government breaking the law orviolating the constitution(s), and more.
And lots of direct-action stuff, like training materials, action guides, workshops online and at live confabs....
It's already designed, just waiting for enough people to wake up and join to justify the final build-out. Looks like you guys are ready!
Get on over to www.LawfulGov.org and take the next step!

Great questions that
I'd like the answers to also before I join.
Already participating in Downsize DC and John Burch Society with great notifications and ease of sending emails to legislators.

great idea
Bump
I know I know..bumping my own post is selfish. But isn't it important that the checks and balances of the Representatives is done NOW! We have meet-up groups so let's just make a generic site, copy it 50 times, buy 50 domain names, and get a group of people to break it down and email it out.
We're essentially doing it already right? Just make it more streamlined. Who can help with this?
Why create something new
Why create something new that only further dilutes the pool of existing communities working for the same cause?

Our Mission
We believe the federal government has grown too large, too intrusive, and too expensive. We believe in constitutional limits, small government, civil liberties, federalism, and low taxes.
We want to end laws and programs that don't work, cause harm, and violate the Constitution. We want to restore the full force of the 9th and 10th amendments, which reserve most social functions to the people and the states.
Our goal is to reduce the federal government to a tiny fraction of its current size, decentralize power, end deficits, federal borrowing, and monetary inflation, and eliminate most federal taxation and the IRS.
We intend to achieve these ambitious goals by petitioning Congress and the President to vote against or veto bad laws and programs, and to repeal old bad laws and programs.
We intend to make this petitioning effective by recruiting every American who believes in small, Constitutional government, decentralized power, civil liberties, and low taxes.
Our goal is to have millions of Americans emailing, writing, and calling their elected representatives to oppose bad laws, and to support laws that shrink the size, scope, intrusiveness, and cost of the federal government.
We will recruit these millions of Americans through the Internet, advertising, media interviews, and direct mail.
We will mobilize, direct, and express the will of the people to force the government to respond, through the sheer weight of our numbers.
The success of our mission depends on you. We need you to . . .
Participate in our petitioning campaigns
Help us recruit more supporters by spreading word of our petitions to everyone you know
Contribute money so we can advertise our efforts, and thereby recruit as many supporters as fast as possible
Our approach is simple and direct.
You will be notified by email of new laws that should be either supported or opposed.
Our website will enable you to simply and quickly send a message to your elected representatives.
We will then give you a second email message to forward to people you know, asking them to email their representatives. This will cause our petitioning effort to grow.
We will use your financial contributions to recruit still more people through advertising, direct mail, and media interviews. Every new person we recruit will increase the power of your voice by increasing the pressure on our elected representatives to Downsize DC.
You will receive regular reports of our progress. We expect this progress to be steady and unstoppable.
If it were possible to create a huge army of people to pressure the politicians to Downsize DC, would you want that?
If it were possible to restore small, constitutionally limited government, decentralized power, fiscal responsibility, and low taxes, would you want that?
If it were possible that our approach was the right way to achieve these goals, would you want to contribute some of your time and money to that end?
"But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Constitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it."
Ive helped do this to curb the amnesty bill back in 2005-2006
NUMBERSUSA does this
"Stop paying lip service to the Constitution, and OBEY IT!"-Ron Paul
Something like this for instance...
When a bill that is unconstitutional is submitted, it will be dissected and summarized. Those who are for the constitution and follow the principles Dr. Paul has reemphasized will simply click a link that adds them to a petition. This petition will be sent to the office of every representative in that state and a spokesman or meetup head will contact them personally.
If the rep. does not agree to support the decision of us, the people, we will then unleash the horde. Another email should be sent explaining the situation, the bill, and the rep's intentions to vote against the people. At the point we will take action by calling, emailing, writing, or stopping by in order to ensure our voice is heard.
Now, this is done 50 times in 50 states. After all, the brainwashed majority will not even know and it's the few of us that will take America back.
Who wants to buy 50 domain names???..i'm broke.
Who Will Buy 50 Domains?
....the supporters in each of those states!
I see the thoughts in this thread as going way beyond just the potential political effectiveness, which is vitally important....ownership by supporters in each state also carries with it built-in organization for getting "our kind" elected, getting bills passed and blocked, exchanging information . Just as importantly, it translates into local power and almost a *blueprint* for scaling big government back and building local power. It's the beginning of the "how to."
I believe the thoughts in this thread are *exactly* what Ron Paul was talking about in his video message... Leaders to "follow" are fine, but first we needa "voice" of the people, informed, united, communicating with each other...and with a clear understanding of the power in that voice united. Hard to believe that *that* is the unconventional approach to governance....but it is. Shows what happens when you blindly follow the Old Media's organized, CFR directed, popularity contest and then for the next four years watch that surprise ball unravel. Fortunately, most of us get it and can no longer be surprised. We know same old will lead to same old, more disastrous to liberty with each election.
MADD (mothers against drunk drivers) they are united in a goal and have been enormously successful because of their united voice. Somehow they get records of offenders arrested or released and write letters to the judge associated with the case letting him know in no uncertain terms that he will not be re-elected if he doesn't hand out harsh sentences or make people serve out their terms. My point is not to discuss MADD (let's not!) but to point them out as an example of individuals united organizing and gaining power.
Together, we not only can make a difference....we can change the whole thing! Freedom is popular...the Revolution will be successful.
Great thread...thanx

I am looking for the same thing
Just this morning I was wondering about this very same thing.
"Bush Lackey" Texas Senator Up for Reelection in November
For all of you who vote in Texas.....Sen. John Cornyn, R, is up for reelection in November. He votes 97% of the time with Bush Admin......doesn't even seem to know what the Constitution is. I voted against him in the Primary but I know he will have Bush support in his campaign for reelection. He needs to go.....has terrible voting record....does not represent the people.
ha ha
I got a letter from him asking for a donation to his campaign. So I donated some rp business size cards with rp's info and record. sent it in his prepaid envelope. ha ha!!!!
I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.
Frank Lloyd Wright
What a GOOD IDEA!
I have a fundraiser letter from my congressman sitting on my desk, as we speak, and I have been intending to write him a letter. Now I'm thinkin':
Why not just sent him a really good explanation of what Ron Paul stands for, AND a reminder that I expect the SAME from any Congressman.
Something definitely needs to be done.
Ideally, all precincts would be informed of the actions of congressional representation through the efforts of meetups. Everybody is not computer savvy, so they wouldn't be aware of a website such as you propose. In addition, of those persons who are internet active, most continue to be conditioned to watch the tube and read the newspaper.
Also, like a member of the House of Representatives, a Senator is also a "Congressman". Congress consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

"But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Constitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it."
Finally,
I quite often go to Dr. Paul's congressional website to see what bills he's sponsored and co-sponsored, his speeches on the House floor, and other articles he's written in his professional capacity.
http://www.house.gov/paul/legis.shtml
(Sponsored and Cosponsored are linked at the bottom-right of the page.)
Tons more information there.
I know that's not exactly what you had in mind, but, hey, it works for me.
and then there's OpenCongress.org
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/all
which shows you all the bills in the 110th Congress. When you click on the bill number, you will see who introduced it and the status.
I think it's really interesting. The sidebar leads you to senators and representatives. I also shows "Most Viewed" and tons of other information.
Somewhat similar, but not the same...
I get a weekly e-mail from this website http://capwiz.com/politicsol/megavote/
It states what key votes have happened, how my senators and representative have voted, and key votes coming up shortly. It also provides a direct link to their websites to either urge them about an upcoming vote, congratulate them when you like their vote, or chastise them when you don't.
It DOESN'T give opinions about pending legislation or bills that are introduced, though.
Check it out--at least it's a beginning.
I checked this one out and like the idea
of knowing how my rep votes. I send emails but their responses do not tell me, most of the time, how they stand on an issue. This leads me to believe it is not the same as my stand.
Their responses are mostly "received your letter - thank you - bla bla blah!
You say "tried" as in past
You say "tried" as in past tense. It's not over yet. It won't be over until after the convention.
You do have a good idea though and organization is the key.
