Today we had the meeting to decide which delegates would go to the state
convention in King County.It was brutal.There was a school gym full
of lots of McCain supporters.100
people were running for the state
convention spots.I was surprised to see Lou there and he gave a great speech about Ron Paul.All 100 of us had to line up and give a speech.I was nervous but did it.This thing went
from 7:30 in the morning till 6:30
in the evening!We had to revote 5 or
6 times.I've never fought so hard in all my life!The good news is---we got
5 delegates to the state convention in Spokane and 8 alternates!And I'm one of them!!

And another district in your neck of the woods, eastern WA is reporting also just under half the delegates, in a comment at that link above.
That means Ron Paul has a clear overwhelming majority in those districts for the State convention, because the other delegates are divided up between McCain, Romney, and Huckabee (yes I know, it's weird but there are still ppl voting for those guys).

I mean, I can understand what might motivate a Paul or Obama supporter

YAYYY for the delegates. My paperwork is in and they said I would be hearing from them soon. I might sign up as a volunteer as a back up plan.
I live in a very democratic area with die hard GOP republicans. I've been going to the meetings & flying under the radar but they eye me suspiciously just cause I'm new to the area.... man... lol it's a tough establishment to break into!

I was at that convention too
I drove up from Salem to observe the first part of that convention; I was sitting in the back a few seats from Lou Moore (RP's campaign manager, the man who gave the speech). I highly encourage anyone who is even remotely considering being a delegate to a convention to go sit in on some other one earlier, so you can learn what goes on. Warning: a lot of it is mighty dry and tedious. But, you will see occasional flashes of action/tension -- and you'll get smarter.
I congratulate all who made the effort to be there, especially those who stayed till the end. That's a brutal day. (I had to leave after the first couple dozen speeches.)
