OK, one biggie question to answer

And that's this:

Does anybody have a state-by-state breakdown of actual bound and unbound delegates, BASED ON STATE GOP RULES AND NOT THE MSM? I include greenpapers in the MSM for this because their count doesn't appear to be accurate either.

I think that would illustrate a lot in a hurry, and provide us all with a real and updatebale scorecard.

Friendly bump

Just thought that I'd give this post the friendly bump that it needs to keep it at the top! Hope you are all having a great evening!

Hey Doc!

I need a band-aid®, I just got a TAX-CUT! :-p

Evening bump!

Patient; Hey Doc, it hurts when I pay taxes.
Doc; Well then don't do that!

Ron Paul is leaving it up to us folks! So put your creative energy behind the Revolution. We talk about not wanting government in charge, well Ron Paul is giving us a chance to demonstrate how this is done. Don't look to Ron Paul to do all the work, and just throwing money at the problem isn't going to work either!

Be in Washington on the 21st of June as requested by Ron Paul.

If you can't be a delegate, then volunteer at the convention, you will be able to influence undecided voters.

delegates in ca

I was looking into becoming a delegate in CA but then I logged onto the ronpaul2008.com website and looked under "CA delegates" and it said that all the delegate positions were taken. This was about 2 months ago. Is it true that CA does not need anymore delegates?

Friday was the deadline for signatures to join Central Committee

I know that people in California were gathering signatures to become members of the Central Committee. I think the deadline was Friday. The Meet-up in Los Angeles had a signature party last week, and 400 miles away, someone looking for signatures knocked on my brother's door.

If they function like the Libertarian Party, however, they often seat people at the Convention if they have openings, so try to contact the local Meet-up and/or the GOP and see what your options are. You might just have to go and take your chances.

Incidentally, my brother knew who Ron Paul is (thanks to me), and was able to converse with him about Dr. Paul. My brother had supported someone who dropped out, but he does not like McCain. ;) And, he signed the form. He says he's glad Dr. Paul is helping strengthen the party.

Question on delegates, please anyone?

When can these delegates vote, and have any of them voted to unbind delegates from certain or any states?

Dr., I'm living overseas (in Chile to be precise) and in college (starting 2nd year of 4). I've been living there for like 12 years and the only thing I want to do is get back home and help you fight this revolution with you. I've tried to spread my message with my sisters but they're die-hard Democrats. My dad and I are the only Paulites in the family. Just want to let you know that if I were in Tampa, I'd sure be helping you guys out with this revolution. I'm watching everything that's going on and totally support your effort. Some in my family think that Paul is out but I've told them that this is like the Electoral College and that the MSM is misinforming them.

Thanks Dr., I wasn't sure but had a feeling that they were unbound. It's better to hear it from someone who knows the delegate process like the palm of your hand like yourself (and BTW, many of your posts have answered many questions I had, thanks for that!) BUMP!

I have an important question here: the pledged delegates that Romney and Huckabee won still have to vote for them in the Convention or can they be unbound because they both dropped out? Thanks!

The Electoral College

The Electoral College electors are elected at the state party conventions.
Then if the Republican presidential candidate gets a majority in a state in November, the electoral delegation chosen at the Republican state convention is sent to cast that state's votes.
