I was looking into becoming a delegate in CA but then I logged onto the ronpaul2008.com website and looked under "CA delegates" and it said that all the delegate positions were taken. This was about 2 months ago. Is it true that CA does not need anymore delegates?

My county convention is this Saturday and I don't know what to do. Please help!

When can these delegates vote, and have any of them voted to unbind delegates from certain or any states?

Dr., I'm living overseas (in Chile to be precise) and in college (starting 2nd year of 4). I've been living there for like 12 years and the only thing I want to do is get back home and help you fight this revolution with you. I've tried to spread my message with my sisters but they're die-hard Democrats. My dad and I are the only Paulites in the family. Just want to let you know that if I were in Tampa, I'd sure be helping you guys out with this revolution. I'm watching everything that's going on and totally support your effort. Some in my family think that Paul is out but I've told them that this is like the Electoral College and that the MSM is misinforming them.

Thanks Dr., I wasn't sure but had a feeling that they were unbound. It's better to hear it from someone who knows the delegate process like the palm of your hand like yourself (and BTW, many of your posts have answered many questions I had, thanks for that!) BUMP!

I have an important question here: the pledged delegates that Romney and Huckabee won still have to vote for them in the Convention or can they be unbound because they both dropped out? Thanks!

The Electoral College electors are elected at the state party conventions.
Then if the Republican presidential candidate gets a majority in a state in November, the electoral delegation chosen at the Republican state convention is sent to cast that state's votes.
