What's with libertyPAC?

RP mentioned this PAC in his last video (I think it was his last.) So the is a libertypac web site. RP is honorary chairman. But the site's a little "thin" - Check back to see the candidates they support. But there is a "donate" button. So I tried the "contact" button and email bounced back. So I tried the webmaster button to complain. That email bounced. Is libertypac for real? Anyone know anything or anyone?
It was RP's idea and it seems to be a broken website.

It's been a week ...

No response from email to RP. Website "contact" and "webmaster" buttons generate bounced emails. What's going on? It just pisses me off that RP has dropped the ball. No way to run a revolution.

I know there has been a problem with fake ron paul type candidates. A "Ron Paul Republican" ran against Wayne Gilchrest, the incumbet, who was one of Ron Paul's friends, in Maryland. This guy, as it turns out was actually a pro-war guy. Paul even said people should vote for Gilcrest. But since the "Ron Paul Republican" guy had alot of libertarian ideas and was being promoted on ronpaulforums, he probably split the vote for gilchrest. The result was, neither gilcrest, nor the "ron paul republican" one, instead a neo-con won the nomination. Paul is aware of this kind of strategy, which is why he makes a big deal about only supporting credible candidates.
I don't know anything obviously about the liberty PAC, but i did get a sense from Paul's last video that he may have lost some faith in his paid staffers.

Sounds like a scammer to me

somebody who registered the domain name after seeing the video. Be careful. I'm sure once the LibertyPAC is organized, there will be a link from the ron paul site and a press release.

LibertyPac.org and .com are "link pages"

I had to use Google to find www.libertypac.net.

In looking a second time, www.libertypac.net has been Ron Paul's site since 2004:

Created on: 21-Jan-04
Expires on: 21-Jan-09
Last Updated on: 08-Oct-07

Using the "WayBack Machine" to see prior archived home pages, I entered libertypac.net at http://www.archive.org/index.php

This was the first version of the site:
http://web.archive.org/web/20040327203641/http://www.liberty...

I suspect that no one's working on the site at all, yet, instead of making a big splash with the site in relation to the 3/6 video release-

Domain "who is" ownership

http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx?isc=daylight08&app%5Fhdr

Simply type in "libertypac" and select ".net" and press Go.

That is the current owner (it's not Kent Snyder).

However, doing the same for RonPaul2008 and .com shows Kent Snyder's contact information, as well.

NOTE: GoDaddy is under $8/year for domain registration and for about $8 more/year, it offers *privacy*. That means you have to contact GoDaddy and your e-mail will be forwarded on to the owner.

The fact that neither site/owner uses such inexpensive privacy options says a lot to me about amateur webmasters- Showing your *home* address to the world can be dangerous!

FYI, I routinely use www.betterwhois.com to research vendor companies across domain registrars. I look to see if their corporate headquarters is in India (if so, what happens if I don't get paid)!

I think Kent Snyder was head of the Liberty Pac

Doesn't seem like a real barn burner.

I like therevolutionstartshere.com but it does not exist yet .
It is up to us....
We must make a central meeting place that is actually designed to COMBINE ideas with action ....
and I would be skeptical that we would have the same results from the Liberty PAC as we have had with HQ....

I think...

the site is probably still under some construction. That's the impression I get.

Bump

No helpful feedback so far.
Is this the best RP can do?

bump!! time to call HQ

bump!!
time to call HQ about this and complain!!!!

i thought to myself, all we need to do to get more in congress is run ourselves and donate to LPAC

This deserves some explanation

Hopefully there just hasn't been time to get the site up and running. I'm curious too.

libertypac.net up since 2004

Last updated in late 2007. At least that's another poster's opinion. I emailed the campaign and haven't gotten a response. Maybe it's like the coasttocoast thing. Maybe if 100 people asked the campaign about this we would hear something. I just hate it when RP and the campaign don't follow through. Busy man and all that, I know.
