The American Economic Crash of 2008 Could Help Ron Paul Win The GOP Nomination
Submitted by zooamerica on Sun, 03/09/2008 - 22:36If the economy continues its current slide the dollar will be worth toilet paper, gas will be $5 a gallon, and the cost of food will double by the time September 1st rolls around. There will be rioting in the streets of St. Paul, MN.
I do not think any delegate in their right mind would vote for John McCain because of his lack of economic expertise. He has publicly stated that the economy is not his stongest area. His own admission may have been his biggest mistake.
Could a crash cause the election to be canceled? Would it be a convenient excuse to declare martial law? If the elite believe Ron Paul has a remote snowball's chance in hell of winning the nomination, I think they may even try to prevent the RNC from taking place...
The only good thing about an economic crash is how Ron Paul's message will resonate even more as a result. A crash could change things...for the better.

I went canvassing today and was amazed at the number of people who did not know that McCain, Hilary, and Obama all voted For giving Social Security to illegal immigrants yesterday and the legislation passed. Is this not being covered on the corporate media outlets? A couple of other points that went over really well today....we printed an average of $22 million per day in Feb 08 and we lost 223,000 jobs in Feb (160,000 natural attrition estimate plus 63,000). Just thought I would mention it cuz it seemed to be little known today. If you want links, I dugg them and can go look for them.

There are many posts here and from other non-RP activists about many strange things going on (including the agreement to allow Canada and US to cross the border to "help") that could indicate that preparations are really in place for martial law, just "in case".
If people really try to pull their money out of banks, a Katrina-style panic could set in and all bets are off.
When many DP posters are storing food, water, and *bullets*, many are concerned with *basic survival*, not politics.
If that happens, I believe the election will be totally canceled and Bush will become "supreme dictator".

I know Bank of America is in trouble. They are Chase Manhattan's main competitor. Since they probably have had to borrow liquidity from the larger banks, if there was a run on them, it seems likely the big banks would just eat the small one. Historically, the bankers have pulled schemes like this before.

I must be missing something.
I started reading this and got about three or four pages in, but I see nothing to be alarmed about. They are talking about these illegal invaders, but obviously, the process hasn't even begun. I think it's a smoke screen. Why are they pushing shamnesty for the invaders if they have this plan in place? They are five years into the ten year plan with no results whatsoever. I have seen so much of this "the sky is falling" stuff, that it quickly loses credibility.

Ok, geek alert. Did anyone ever see that Star Trek Deep Space Nine where they went back in time to Earth in our near future, and all the homeless people were put in "sanctuary zones?" As i recall, anyone without a digital ID card would be put in the sanctuary zone. Maybe those camps are going to be used as "temporary housing" when the foreclosure crisis goes ballistic?

I think he would cut taxes
I think he would cut taxes on a massive scale, for everyone. But one of the best things I think Ron would do is bring value and respect back to our dollar. We will not have dollars anymore if Ron Paul does not win.
