CNBC Jim Rogers: 'Abolish the Fed'

0 votes

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke should resign and the Fed should be abolished as a way to boost the falling dollar and speed up the recovery of the U.S. economy, investor Jim Rogers, CEO of Rogers Holdings, told CNBC Europe Wednesday.

Asked what he would do if he were in Bernanke's shoes, Rogers, who slammed the Fed for pouring liquidity in the system and accepting mortgage-backed securities as guarantees, said: "I would abolish the Federal Reserve and I would resign."

Awesome Video of the whole thing!!

This Talk Is IRRELEVANT

Don't you all realize that the Fed (THEY) had plans from the get-go to destroy the dollar??? THEIR policies are working just fine ... exactly as THEY knew they would! Of course, THEY now have to play the part of concerned and confused bankers and look like THEY'D trying everything and anything to reverse the coming economic doom. Never mind that everything THEY do just makes the final disaster better for THEM and worse for you, me and those we love. Plus, if THEY didn't play THEIR part, we might catch on and simply demand justice till we got it.

REMEMBER THE AMERO ... it's waiting in the wings to replace the dollar and become the currency of the North American Union (NAU). That's the real plan, folks!

So, whatever Jim Rogers has to say may be motivated by pride ... he wants to go on record as the guru who called the shots (two nano-seconds) before the jig was up. Big deal!

I just had another thought ... the Fed would have to be replaced by some other organization (same people just different initials) if the dollar tanks into oblivion and the AMERO replaces it. So, Jim may just be THEIR waterboy to start this process.

Nothing is what is seems anymore. They feed us lies and damned lies!

I was somewhat appalled when

I was somewhat appalled when I saw this clip. Is it me or did anyone else this that the anchors were just a little shortsighted when talking about the jump in the dow? It almost appeared that they were giving Rogers the "hmph, told you so" attitude with the way they were pumping the dow's increase. It sure seemed that a lot of financial shows that day had folks like Rogers and Dr. Paul on and they did the same thing; "yousguy were wrong, look at the dow now" type of interview. They actually laughed when Rogers said we should end the Fed.

Well, well, lets just look at the past two days. Simply amazing how ignorant these (financial anchors) are.

Did they allow a response?

News anchors are often in the position of asking the question from the average viewer's point of view. Sometimes they know the answer, they just want to give the guest a chance to give it.

Please correct me if I am wrong...

Since Dr. Paul's campaign started, I have read many books on Austrian economics. I have to say, Jim Rogers is awesome! I looked up a bunch of videos on YouTube about Rogers, and he actually speaks highly Of Ron in one. He and Ron, as well as any Austrian economist, share the same views on free markets. Too bad the Presidential race didn't start 2 months ago.

These are opportunities for the Paul Campaign

If I were on staff at the Paul Campaign, I would immediately contact Jim Rogers and ask him for a meeting to organize a press conference to openly discuss this issue for the public. You see, the old guard GOP and Press combined, have found it relatively easy to push Dr. Paul aside. It's not like the Paul campaign is very aggressive, but by having his positions supported by the likes of Jim Rogers, you have to use these opportunities. I just don't see the campaign staff knowing what to do with these golden opportunities. There have been so many, but now with the spotlight trained so well on the economy, and the Federal Reserve no less, there is no excuse for not getting Ron Paul (of all people!) out there front and center!

Technically...

Technically, if you are volunteering for anything Ron Paul related... you are on the staff. Haven't you heard?

NOTHING NEW HERE ! RON PAUL HAS BEEN SAYING....

There is nothing new here ! Ron Paul has been saying this for thirty years. We need another debate with Ron Paul involved. Ron Pauls support has been climbing the past three weeks now. Has anyone noticed the extra coverage, etc. on Dr Paul.
America is not only awake now, we are getting out of bed and preparing for the big event. Lets keep up the fight and continue the march towards washington and the rest of this land.
Keep spreading the message that has been ignited. Canvass, emails, precinct leaders, delegates, elected positions, committees, etc. Lets clean house from the inside out.

Jim Rogers is awesome! I

Jim Rogers is awesome! I love how he speaks to the media.

Someone needs to make a Jim Roger's poster similar to the Ron Paul poster so I can put both of my idols up on my walls.

Ron Paul for President and Jim Rogers Secretary of the Treasury. If they abolished the Fed than the Treasury position would actually be an important one.

I'm with you!

I'm with you!

"Where do these guys shop?"

I love it. They keep asking inane questions and Rogers keeps challenging their absurd assumptions. This is very Paul-ish, and very refreshing.

Wow

Great article, but the people interviewing him just didn't seem to get it. Anyone feel me on that?

Jim might endorse Ron Paul if we all asked..

Hey

Fortune Favors the Bold

why not have him run as Ron's Vice president. With his money, it could even make a third party run feasible.

Fortune Favors the Bold

I can see the headlines

"What is Bernanke going to do? Get in his helicopter and fly around the world and collect rents? That's absurd," Rogers said.

Just in from FOXNEWS- Rogers believes the Fed will use "black helicopters" to collect rents and insurance payments. Conspiracy theorist! 9/11 Truther! Racist!

Fortune Favors the Bold

Huh?

.

it was a joke

Fortune Favors the Bold

in the interview, Rogers says "What's Bernacke going to do? Fly around in his helicopter collecting rent? That's absurd."

In reference to the fact that the fed was essentially buying defaulted mortgages.
