I don't really take the messages on this site as "fear messages". Concern, preparedness, yes. Besides supporting Ron Paul I enjoy this site just because there is so much different input and information. As an adult I can take what works for me and use and research what I find interesting. The variety of people and knowledge on this site is a very valuable asset to me. I also enjoy the humour and some of the tirades that go on. I think we are all a very unique and pretty interesting bunch and despite some of the anger and intolerance that goes back and forth, we probably would all be able to run things in this country better then the criminal thugs in government. That aside, just like the saying of having a gun and never needing it is better than to need it and not have one. I think it is better to be prepared. If by some outrageous miracle we continue to live a peaceful life and not reap what this country has sown, so be it. However, call it a day of reckoning, karma, whatever you'd like, but if things really hit the skids, isn't it better to be prepared? What do you lose by being alert? It's no different then self defense, keep your eyes and ears open and your mind alert. A lot of people think Ron Paul is a freak for upholding the Constitution, that doesn't make him wrong.

Ever hear of Hunter Thompson's Freak Party movement? Back in the 70's? Those were some freaks there, but you know what? They had something a lot of people don't have and that's a mind of their own and a true sense of freedom. I couldn't even say I agreed with them on their platform but I would still rather be called a freak or a loony or an idiot than be a mindless prole anyday.
I don't endorse fearing anything but it *is* possible to sanely discern that there is bad sh*t going on in the world and act accordingly. You make it sound like we should all be living in the haze of illusionary good times when even the regular, ordinary, non-conspiracy theory news items on any given day are bad, bad, bad. Some people just can't do that even when it makes others uncomfortable. You're on a Ron Paul site, the 'Live and let live' part of his message (and yours too I'd hope) should have prevented you from an attempt to discredit other supporters of that principle.

The freak power ticket was awsome. Tearing down buildings that obstruct the veiw of the mountains and renaming aspen "fat town" to discourage investors and keep the town for the people. He nearly won. Infact he was kinda cheated. He was leading and another guy droped out and instructed his supporters to vote for another guy just to stop Hunter. It was a rediculously close race. It came down to just a few votes. I loved Hunter. If he were alive today i think he might be on our bandwagon. He was very Libertarian. He came out and questioned the governments account on 9/11. I beleive on MSNBC. You can find the video...though of poor quality on youtube.

total Freak Party guy but in California so not an Aspeen voter. But, yes, I have a special place in my heart for those particular freaks too. Hunter was a fixture in my world 'til his suicide. This is silly and its sad that You would make fun of something like that. I wonder if You even notice the mounting evidence of something fishy in our government. I wonder if You notice the blatant propaganda that is spewed out of the tube every day. The fact is whats best for the rich man might not be best for the poor man.
