Okay, in all seriousness, here's a question I've been trying to get answered. I've posted it here on DP, and done research on my own, but cannot find an honest, clear answer.

I'm (still!) trying to find out how to become a delegate in California. (I recognize that you may or may not know CA rules, but I'll pose this to you, per your invitation for questions.) I'm not the only one here attempting this Herculean feat of unraveling the CA GOP rules; other DP Californians are scratching their heads, too. I have a background working in legal offices, and am not usually put off by copious amounts of legalese, but man, the CA documents certainly seem to go out of their way to obfuscate the rules!

YES, I've gone to the links you've so kindly provided. (thank you)

YES, I downloaded and read the CA GOP By-Laws.

YES, I've Googled for CA GOP rules, regulations, by-laws, etc. -- links ultimately send me back to the actual CA GOP By-Laws, which I'd already read.

All I can divine is that CA delegates are appointed through various means, all of which seem to imply that, in order to become a delegate for CA, you have to already be somehow connected / affiliated / anointed / otherwise considered a GOP darling in order to be "tapped" for a delegate seat.

Now...is that truly the only way to become a CA delegate? If there's another way, can you illuminate? And, is it too late to try to become a delegate for CA?

Hoping you either know or can direct me (and other CA RP supporters) to a knowledgeable resource... Thanks.

Ok i will do some research on CA and get the clear response however the first thing you need to do is call your county chairman and ask if you can be a delegate or an alternate.

In most cases no county ever obtains enough delegates to all the slots that are allowed in your county and they usually welscome people in.

In nevada they did the very same thing i am speaking of they missed the deadline and called and asked to become alternates and showed up at the convention and guess what all the alternates became delegates because the other delegates DIDN'T SHOW UP.

I am also trying to become a delegate or an alternate in San Diego, but I could not get a live person on the line at the local office. It may be that they were all out due to the holiday. I left a message on the chairman's answering machine and hope he will call me back on Monday.

Have you been able to find out any information? I would be grateful for it. I am also willing to help you get the word out in CA.

Sorry you didnt get enough time to spread your message about delegates. I new you would get some opposition though,because it is not the first time I heard that arguement. But the bottom line is some people are not paying attention to what is going on here. I hope you get back on again soon

That caller made himself sound like an idiot. 25% 50% tell us then. How does he think he is helping the cause going on like that.

Everyday on here someone makes a post asking about being a delegate. They can find the info on here by your posts. Thank you.

He admited we should all try to be delegates. So, was he that offended by a post you made to him he wants to hurt the campaign.

Who was the "mad caller." If Dr. Parent is wrong give us the real numbers and processes.
