Reminder from Red SkeltonSubmitted by ShineTheLight on Mon, 03/17/2008 - 13:50
We didn't wear it.
We didn't sit on it.
We didn't sew the stars in upside down.
We didn't burn it.
We didn't allow it to be frayed.
We pledged to it daily in schools, proudly.
We put our hands on our hearts, without explanations.
We didn't lean against it.
We didn't display it in art on the floor.
We didn't allow it to be dragged.
It stood for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
What are the elites doing to that life, liberty and pursuit of happiness? What are they doing to our country? What are they doing to us? What are they doing to our children? How are we going to stop them? When are we going to stop them? What will we have to endure before we stop them? What will they do when we demand that they stop? What will we do in response? There is only one thing more important than this movement and that is what we must never forget.
