just got this from the Ron Paul campaign cocerning Indiana delegates

You still may have a chance to be appointed a delegate to the State Convention even if you did not file a CAN 37. Get involved now in your County Republican Party. Volunteer and attend all their events. After the primary, ask your local County Chairman if you may fill any vacant delegate seat the County has been unable to fill. If this year is like most years, the local parties will have a hard time getting people to fill all the available seats. Getting appointed is a good possibility.

Grew up there.

It is good to go right to the Republican party and make friends. We need to be the establishment.

Can you correct your spelling.

I wish more people understood that

I have choked on becoming "Republican" myself, and now battle it every day as I seek potential delegates. Some people will do "anything" for Ron Paul, but will do "nothing" for the Republicans. Of course, it is Ron Paul who comes out on the short end of that stick. I am an independent spirit, I vote for people and issues and ideas, not a party line. I live in a state where declaring a party is not required, so I never did. However, as I have learned about the process, I realize that going third party or even Democrat does not fix anything. The Republican Party is NOT the problem, it is the neocons who took it over. People who refuse to help take it back are almost as much a part of the problem as the neocons. Even if we make a srtong, powerful third party, we leave a corrupt Republican party to contend with, election after election. We MUST take our party back as a step toward taking our Constitution back. And if we want heated, worthwhile debate, the bleeding heart liberals need to go run the corporate fascists out of their Democratic party.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Look, it's probably true everywhere

It's true in the LP. You can actually show up at the convention and be named a delegate there, if your delegation is short a person and they want you.

Usually it just needs someone to recommend you (like your fellow Ron Paulites). This is why, even if you are not a delegate now, you may want to go to these conventions (state and national) anyway. For fun, and the chance to step in.
