.. this was a setup to try and make Ron Paul look bad.
The guy kept talking over the host lady and the host lady was trying to talk over Ron Paul when he was shooting down the other guys mere assertion that liquidity caused the Great Depression with the glaring omission that the Fed had already existed for 15 years.
If Ron Paul would have been given one more minute he would have had the other guy stammering and mumbling stuff like "that's not my job" just like Bernanke...

Maybe as the economy gets worse and it begins to effect more and more people, they will start to ask questions, like "why do I have any money, Im making the same my life style is the same but Im broke" And maybe peoples apathy will start to change. I talk to people all the time about this. Its not taught in school so it needs to come by word of mouth, "grassroots"
Watching this guy talk makes me wonder if anyone is awake. He said stability in the market and anyone breathing today knows that's what we don't have. 98% value loss= stability? As if purely because he says it that makes it so. The fed caused the great depression by removing money out of circulation, from I think it was $2,300 per American down to $14.50 per American and they committed this crime to get the honor of printing our money. What they think we forgot? They caused the great depression. They've been wreaking havoc since day one. This guy is trying to rewrite history or something. That's the argument the idiot bankers used in the beginning, we can stabilize the market; by destabilizing it? The problem we have is our leaders don't understand monetary policy so they leave it to the bankers. Like the fox watching the hen house. The only stabilization America requires is them out of the loop, dead, gone removed! And we need a leader in the Whitehouse who understands the economy and monetary policy better than the bankers to protect our assets (what we have left) This guy is an economic scholar and he's right on every single point. Ron Paul!
You know, I love Ron Paul, and the message he gives, but he really needs a speech coach. When the anchor opened the floor to Dr. Paul, he kind of hesitated in getting started. It's like in a horse race: when that gate opens up, your horse needs to get out immediately - WHOP! I also wish Dr. Paul would have mentioned what caused the bank runs of the 1800's and such. If he had more time I suppose, he could have mentioned about fractional reserve banking, and how the law should have stopped such criminality, not ultimately protecting it as it did especially with the Federal Reserve Act.

Monetary policy, history and the economy can never be covered in a 30 second interview, and public education guarantees most people won't understand. Everyone has to have a bases of knowledge to even know what he's talking about and most don't. It's not his fault most Americans are idiots. Hopefully their common sense kicks in after hearing him speak and they dig a little deeper. That's why Dr Paul talks about high prices at the grocery store or gas pump. He uses common behavior references so even idiots have to agree. Remember he's talking to mindless drones who have been programmed. His effort is missionary. Hopefully some glimmer of intelligence will walk away and look further.
If we don't help them, RP can be cheated this November.
The following is an e-mail I got today from BBV:
The video below provides bits of the backstory for our discovery of a potentially devastating method of rigging MAIL IN VOTES, AUDITS and RECOUNTS. Black Box Voting is currently doing proof of concept testing on our "Theory of a crime" and will release details next week on how it's done, so that preventive measures can be put in before November. We'll see how the ballots and the special "optical scan marking pens" being sold by vendors actually perform in our tests. Any information you can provide on the specific paper stock and especially, the paper coatings used by ballot printers will be much appreciated right now.
Information leading up to this discovery came from a frame-by-frame analysis of video, including these:
We believe it is possible to undetectably alter thousands -- possibly tens of thousands -- of paper ballots, using a technique known as "check washing." This would require applicator bottles (for ballot alteration in a vehicle during transport), paper towels, and in central ballot storage locations, for large quantities, cans of odorless paint thinner, denatured alcohol, or acetone. Our upcoming tests will show if our theory is correct, whether it can be done in a van, how many ballots can be done per hour, whether the special "AccuVote marking pens" sold by LHS Associates and Diebold (Premier) are easier to "wash" for remarking.
These two "ELECTION REALITY TV" videos above are prequels; video of our demo will be released next week. Maybe our theory of a crime won't work. We'll see.
The new video, linked above, shows top-level New Hampshire state officials lying about chain of custody matters. In one particularly bizarre incident, they attempt to hide the fact that ballots are sitting right there in an area of the warehouse (at 5:20 pm) that they have emphasized is "closed" at 4:30 pm. When a citizen catches them on video in the "closed" area, they simply deny that the ballot boxes are ballot boxes!
Earlier, they had staged a bit of public theatre in which they made it a point that "Hoppy" of the Butch and Hoppy ballot transport team, will have trouble going back to get his bag because the area is "closed" at 4:30. But after dark at 5:20, a Connecticut citizen named Walter Reddy caught top state officials and Hoppy on film in the very area that was supposed to be "closed", and the next night at 6:54 pm, a Florida citizen named Jeannie Dean caught them again.
Apparently the state officials did not realize the ballot boxes (empty and otherwise) had been caught on video, and after saying "those are not ballots" they hurriedly turned out the lights! Imagining state-level public officials standing there in the dark would be comical if it didn't represent the rape of our democratic republic.
The same boxes identified as "NOT ballots" are later identified, on camera, as Rockingham County ballot boxes, by the same state official who claimed they weren't ballots the night before. Of course, we knew they were ballot boxes, because we followed the ballot pickup van during Rockingham County pickups!
So what did they do? Open it up and deal with ballot intake and chain of custody in a properly public and transparent fashion?
Nope. The next night, New Hampshire state officials engaged the services of a police dog to obstruct citizens from looking in the window -- aROOH-ROOH-ROOH! (Nice doggy.)
Sarasota citizen Jeannie Dean, teeth chattering in the frigid New Hampshire night, zoomed in with a camera and boosted the sound on her video and once again, caught 'em in the act of secretive ballot delivery in the dark, wandering around in areas already proclaimed "closed after 4:30 pm."
"They" included New Hampshire Deputy Secretary of State David Scanlan, New Hampshire Archives Director Frank Mevers, Archives Records Manager Brian Burford, and of course, "Butch and Hoppy" -- Armand "Butch" Dubois and Peter "Hoppy" Falzone.
A public records request by Black Box Voting for documents pertaining to the assignment of the K-9 unit has elicited "There are no records." We asked for phone bills, New Hampshire officials have said it will take 90 days to find them. We have asked for checks, credit card receipts, etc. for cleaning supplies, paint thinner, smocks, latex gloves, etc. They say it will take 90 days to find them. (Or find which ones to purge? Guys: We have your stuff on video.)
Much of what I've just told you relates to next week's proof of concept testing. What you will see in THESE videos is the backstory that helped us figure out the mechanics of how a massive ballot-tampering operation could be accomplished with just a few key people.
This project, funded and produced by BLACK BOX VOTING, used the concept of a rolling calvary of experienced citizen voting rights leaders. We collaborated on video targets and shared our videotape. Using combined evidence captured by several different citizens were we able to piece together how the New Hampshire primary could have been stolen.
CHAIN OF CUSTODY AND VOTE SUBSTITUTION: Along with voter eligibility fraud tactics and computer tampering, these will be "all the marbles" this November for mail-in votes (Oregon, Washington: nearly 100 percent; California, Arizona: approx 50 percent; Ohio, New Mexico, approx 30 percent.) Chain of custody and vote substitution can defeat any manual spot-check and, as we saw in New Hampshire, can nuke the validity of any recount.
IS THERE ANY WAY TO SECURE ELECTIONS?
YES. Citizen controls! "Get it right on Election Night." This is not about "bipartisan" observers who are political party operatives and hacks. This is about CITIZEN CONTROLS. Because the instruments of government that we have created, and our votes -- our method of exercising control over the government that we have created -- belong to US, not "them" -- not the government, not political parties. US. U.S. We the People.
AND NOW, ABOUT THOSE COMPUTERS...
Following another investigation, requiring months of diligence and plenty of computer and public records experience, JIM MARCH, JOHN BRAKEY, MICHAEL SHELBY: Maricopa County Arizona have produced an in-depth citizen evaluation: http://www.bbvforums.org/forums/messages/1954/73271.html

And as for the many locations that still use paperless DREs or fail to audit chain of custody and procedural safeguards, as they say in New York, "fahgeddaboudit." There is no reason whatsoever to trust those elections.
Yes he did! And does anyone notice how frequently the MSM are falling back on these pimply-faced, 22-year-old, wet-behind-the-ears economic Doogie Howsers as ostensible "experts" on these programs? I guess getting them fresh from out of their Ivy-League Keynesian indoctrination, er, education works best for the Powers-that-be now.

I love the comments here and the great links, but what are we going to do to help Dr. Paul with his efforts to kill this "creature"? (I loved that he used that word, by the way!). Making fun of the doofus on the TV is great fun, but getting the attention of the Congress is going to take all of us "descending" upon them through phone and/or email to let them know we are done with this "creature" and we want them to support HR 2755!!
Is anybody with me on this or are the other ideas out there for showing our support of Dr. Paul and his dedication (through HR 2755) to getting us out of this freakin' mess???

Hell, we need to throw away the baby, the bathwater AND the bathtub of the whole rotten Federal Reserve, if you ask me! And gut the bathroom afterward, and disinfect it heavily after that. And then install a new, solid gold bathtub to replace the old, rotten, false paper-mache one.
This is very important. Until people understand why these things happen, they won't be fixed. Paul's debate opponent is entirely ignorant of it, yet he gets to be on the debate podium right next to Ron Paul, which makes people think his opinion is just as authoritative.
I just printed those articles to read! You TOTALLY answered my question. I should already have known the answer but I'm behind in my "new education"!! LOL!

The Federal Reserve has given us stability? WHAT!!!
He does know the Fed was created 16 years prior to the Great Depression. What happened to that stability? This guy needs to pick up a history book and read it before he tries to argue a point he knows nothing about. Inflation has rose at record numbers throughout the entire history of the Fed. Investing in gold is stupid, but a gold and silver backed dollar is not.
See "The Money Masters" on Google. It's great, and it gives the history of
money and banking crisis.....Excellent!!!!

I got this reply on a thread from RPF. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?p=1362974&posted...
"There were a series of "panics" from about 1873 through 1907, though it was mainly intensified in the 1893-1907 period. The stock market would periodically tank. People would run banks, causing them to fail. Credit would get tight.
At the time, politicians had a grand time blaming the gold standard for this. However, in the cold light of history, there's evidence that these panics were manufactured. This was when leveraged speculation--borrowing money to play the stock market--became a popular pasttime, and good ol' J.P. Morgan was known to instruct his bank and other banks over which he had influence to "call the notes" (demand immediate payback) on people who had borrowed to buy a particular stock he was interested in.
He had that information because they generally used that stock as colateral. This allowed him to play that stock short. Occasionally he would do this not for a particular stock, but for all notes. The years he did this coincide particularly well with this series of "panics". The press and the politicians, of course, pointed fingers and any- and everything but Morgan.
Gross simplification and has my slant in it. To form your own opinion, try researching Panic of 1893, Panic of 1907, J.P. Morgan, William Jennings Bryan's "Cross of Gold" speech." - acptulsa
Anyone who says they believe in free markets but thinks the Fed is a good idea is a hypocrite. Defending the Fed is akin to defending a centrally planned economy. You have to believe in the power of the marketplace to decide both what interest rates are and what commodity or commodities act as money.

I can't believe that they put this idiot up to "debate" Ron Paul about the Fed. He either has no clue about the subject he speaks of or he's deliberately spewing disinformation. Oh, my head. I listen to this idiot and my head explodes! Folks, if we can pummel George Noory with emails about getting Dr. Paul on his program, then we can pummel our elected idiots and tell them to support HR 2755--Dr. Paul's legislation to abolish the Federal Reserve. Right now, Dr. Paul does not have a single co-sponsor for this bill!!! Please--call or write your elected doofus and tell them you want him or her to sign-on in support of this timely, crucial legislation. And while you're at it, ask your elected jerk how they justify the use of your federal income tax to bail out a private, Wall Street investment bank!!!
Please, I'm begging! Can we get an email/phone campaign going to get coverage and support for HR 2755? Ron Paul is still out there after 30 years pounding away at this. We must lend him our support and let the Wall Streeters and D.C. gangsters know we're out here and we mean business!!!
They don't require you to create an account to send letters, but I would suggest you do so you can send them all the time more easily.....they ask for very little information.

Most excellent
great comment.
Paul was ON as usual!
When it comes to discussing the Fed and our economy;' currently he has no equal.
Here's an excellent link for overview of the latest Fed debacle in progress:

Why did the banking crisis happen?
(This was intended to be a reply to the question about the pre-Fed banking crises of the 1800s, but the DP isn't putting it in the right place...)
The problem is the fractional reserve banking system (not to be confused with "federal reserve").

This is very important. Until people understand why these things happen, they won't be fixed. Paul's debate opponent is entirely ignorant of it, yet he gets to be on the debate podium right next to Ron Paul, which makes people think his opinion is just as authoritative.
THANK YOU!!!
I just printed those articles to read! You TOTALLY answered my question. I should already have known the answer but I'm behind in my "new education"!! LOL!
Rofl
where do they get these guys to debate ron paul. Fez just looked stupid and everything ron paul said actually made some sense.
I am a human becoming, help me to become.
Fez! LOL!
Fez! LOL!
I am so proud to be
a Dr. Paul supporter. I take heat, but I know I am right. It is worth the heat. Much like following Jesus, but different.

that's great!

How long does it take for Americans to WAKE UP!!
Once you know Dr. Paul and listen to his message, there is no going back. I just love this guy:)
We need more debates like this!

Oh! that's his name?
For a moment there I thought the tasty news babe was just describing his politics or personality.
Did she say "Faiz Shakir", or "Fascist Cur"?

Has this guy read History?
The Federal Reserve has given us stability? WHAT!!!
He does know the Fed was created 16 years prior to the Great Depression. What happened to that stability? This guy needs to pick up a history book and read it before he tries to argue a point he knows nothing about. Inflation has rose at record numbers throughout the entire history of the Fed. Investing in gold is stupid, but a gold and silver backed dollar is not.
1800's banking crisis
Can anyone explain the 1800's banking crisis that was mentioned?
The Money Masters......
See "The Money Masters" on Google. It's great, and it gives the history of
money and banking crisis.....Excellent!!!!

Anyone...
Anyone who says they believe in free markets but thinks the Fed is a good idea is a hypocrite. Defending the Fed is akin to defending a centrally planned economy. You have to believe in the power of the marketplace to decide both what interest rates are and what commodity or commodities act as money.
Now that is a real debate
And notice how McCain is hiding in Iraq praying that no one asks him about the economy.

Faiz Shakir ..........
........... is an idiot and proved it right there on national television. Why did they use this moron to debate our Commader in Chief? We need to see Ben Bernanke and Ron Paul discuss this problem instead of some brain dead researcher who works for the Center for American progress.

I searched the Center For American Progress web site
list of experts, but I could not find his name as being associated with any area of economics. Why would they have selected him in the first place? His Keynesian destructo-nomics responses were pretty dated.

I can't believe that they put this idiot up to "debate" Ron Paul about the Fed. He either has no clue about the subject he speaks of or he's deliberately spewing disinformation. Bernanke knows what the score is. You can see how uncomfortable he gets when he's testifying on capitol hill and the Committee recognizes the Congressman from Texas. This Shakir guy is a dolt.
Ron Paul, our Commander in Chief
Welcome aboard Phantom, the survival of our Constitutional Republic henges on our watch.
It didn't seem like he believed his own argument
And in the end he was smiling, didn't seem too combative to me. He had no ground to stand on and was pretty much admitting it by the look on his face. I love the fact that you said "our Commander in Chief" , I have been saying all along that Dr. Paul is already my president.

Write Your Elected Idiots & Tell Them You Want Them to Support H

I did this through Downsize Dc
They seem to be a good site and push all of Dr. Paul's legislation. http://www.downsizedc.org/
They don't require you to create an account to send letters, but I would suggest you do so you can send them all the time more easily.....they ask for very little information.

PWND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Notice that
RP is the only candidate left willing to debate with 'commoners" on TV? That says a bunch right there...Could you imagine any of the 3 stooges doing this?
When I first saw it, I was trying to picture one of
the 3 so-called "major" candidates opposite Dr. Paul, trying to argue in favor of more inflation, more dollar devaluation.
