Utah has mass meetings tuesday nite. The delegates that go to the national convention must vote for Mitt Romney on the first ballot.
If McCain does not win the nomination on the first ballot the delegates from Utah can vote for someone else on the second ballot, and that is why Ron Paul delegates need to be selected. Go to your mass meeting. This election is not over.

A vote for Romney is not a vote for McCain.
If we flip a few States where McCain thinks he has it and he doesn't, the first vote makes it a brokered convention.
Paul being the only other runner is a natural choice for the anti-McCain people.
We just have to keep fighting.
In many track races the problem is that the runners are expecting to stop as they approach the winning line. So they slow down just a bit thinking it's over.
The trick is to think the tape is another five feet away so you are still going 100% at the end.
Let's see what our marches and the states bring to the table.
McCain is busy thinking it's a done deal and sticking his foot in his mouth. He can lose it for himself and we need to be there to help him.
MSM has given RP some exposure because they also feel he can't change things. RP has said he can't change things. We, however, can!

Anybody can go and try to become a delegate. This is no different than what you hear about around here. No delegates have been selected yet in Utah. YOU can go and be a delegate at your local caucus. Do not be fooled by the vote earlier in Feburary.
Speak of conservative ideas because Romney supporters like that message. Might not want to mention Dr. Paul.

I believe that the head of the state delegation places the vote for the whole delegation if they are bound, rather than doing a roll call of the delegates. If that's true, then the delegates won't have the option of violating their pledge and voting Ron Paul.
It isn't like this is the first time the GOP party machine has dealt with this issue!
That's why the best hope is to get our delegates into the state conventions, unbind them, and send them to national. Even if they can't be unbound, it would help if they are Ron Paul supporters (or anti-McCain) if it goes to additional rounds of voting.

Please read SGP post on resolutions to pass at your state conventions. Get to the state convention and then propose a resolution to unbind the delegates so that they can vote their conscious on the first round.

I don't know if that's best.
It would be interesting if they were bound to Romney (is it true?) as that would guarantee zero votes for McCain. It seems like the first round of voting is for the purpose of proving whether or not McCain wins.
If he does not, then the negotiations really begin. It's possible that at that point, many anti-McCain delegates would be ready to change their votes to Ron Paul, and any McCain votes among the delegation would not hurt so much.
However, I suspect they are not bound to Romney. It seems like, in order to get support from party loyalists ("I'll vote for the nominee, whoever it is"), the first thing to do is prove that McCain does not have enough support (or money, or electability). Then you offer Ron Paul.
If you unbind them from Romney (if necessary), then who will they vote for?

Romney) gets all of the delegates on the first round of voting at the national convention. The party rules have bound the delegates and that is just the way it is.
