According to the NH Secy. of State website, Dr. Paul picked up 38 votes from the recount. Candidate Albert Howard, the proxy who paid for the recount, lost a vote and finished up with 43. He tied "Vermin Supreme".
Although the recount process seemed rather amatuer, I think it is safe to say that there was no fraud, some harmless incompentence, a general sense that the election was fair, and absolutely no need for a recount.
The $60,000 pissed away on this could have been spent on something a lot more useful.

I haven't looked for "certified" CA primary election results, but the RP voters did manual votes, only to find out that they wouldn't be counted on Super Tuesday at all! CA had 30 days to count them - talk about "old news", even if RP had done outstanding!
Instead, most RP vote totals/percentages probably weren't ever publicized-
Which also allowed the MSM to continue to label RP as "fringe candidate".

I think your point is well taken.
When the political parties run the elections the chance of fraud goes WAY up. Not only can they manipulate the rules but they can rig the results to get the outcome they want. Also, by making the process totally convoluted they discourage participation and can obfuscate the real results.

Electoral college votes
This happens in the General Election.. In 2000 Al Gore received the most national votes , but didn't get enough electoral college votes and lost.
But are votes *in public*?
And again what happens, if one candidate isn't a clear winner in the first vote?
At what point do electoral college delegates get to just vote for who they feel like vs. what the voters indicated?

They have played a vital role in waking up people across the country to act locally to bring the vote counting process into the light. Its an error to say "if the recount itself was rigged (or not) then the money raised for it was wasted." $60k was a small price to pay for bringing into public awareness the entire sham election process- from Diebold machines to the Butch & Hoppys of the nation. Anyone knows this if they have seen the videos of the opened unsealed boxes. Anyone could have gotten into them in a number of points.

I've seen
these and yes, they are scary. But they don't mean the recount is fraud or even inaccurate. And they certainly don't mean the election was riddled with fraud. Incompetence? Sure looks like it.

wait till you hear what will be coming out as evidence and it has to do with denatured alcohol. I was there and we know how all this fraud occured. Sorry that $ was not pissed away. Stay tuned. Dont forget the democrat recount happened immediately and if you look at the data it was alot worse. They stalled the republican recount for over a week. While all these votes were sitting on shelves unsecure in these small towns. That is BS. At the recount they would not let us count the uncast ballots. In a few towns we got the state workers to count the uncast ballots and when you added up the cast and uncast it never matched up to the amount they sent these towns to begin with. Why do you think the state has not produced the documents Albert has asked for . This was done under the freedom of information act a month ago. We have hours and hours of video and you will see that it was not a waste of time. Dont forget that Mr Scanlon was a pretty slick guy and was caught in the records building at 4am one morning, and this is where the story of the alchohol will come in. So again stay tuned

What MSM sources are you believing?
Have you done any research at www.blackboxvoting.org? Or viewed any of their videos?
I hope you're never on a jury, if you have no idea about the importance of "chain of custody" and, apparently, cannot evaluate the adequacy or inadequacy of it, in terms of the physical ballots that were "recounted".
Given the fact that the storage boxes weren't even sealed properly, all anyone had to do would be to simply *totally replace* the ballots in enough boxes to make the count match what was publicized.
The last I really monitored the proceedings, the SOS couldn't even state how many physical ballots had been *ordered*, let alone how they were allocated to the various voting areas.
So, how can the vote results be reliable (footing and cross-footing), if there is no way to know if, in total, 50% *more* or 50% *less* ballots were counted than the number of people who cast votes?
The recount definitely proved that the original manual counts erroneously counted votes for candidates for *Vice* President as votes for *President*.
Voting is either accurate or it's not. The NH recount proved how many different types of problems can cause the results to be totally unreliable without the additional issue of intentional electronic vote fraud.
NH might as well have let kids play cards with the ballots until they were needed for the "recount"-
I think Albert Howard stepped up to prove the point, when candidates realized that vote totals changed or that they got zero votes in vote areas where people knew that they themselves had voted for the candidate with zero.
How would you feel, if you knew *for an absolute fact* that you voted, but it had not been counted? And if it happened to you, how many other people did it happen to, as well?
I think the $60,000 was very well spent, if states tighten up their controls over the physical ballots (and stop using Diebold machines).
I do know that CA was warning about the BBV people observing/taking videos, so there *was* an impact on voting *processes*.
Why did RP and HQ challenge LA and not NH? Effectively, Albert Howard did it for them, giving them "deniability" for "poor loser" fallout.
Devvy Kidd of NewsWithViews has been very involved with that NH effort and electronic vote fraud, in general. I wouldn't be surprised to see a book published with all the evidence.
No "Blackbox" are used in NH
and that's good. No paper trail = no credibility.
Scanners are different and have proven time and again to be accurate counters of correctly filled out ballots. Your scenarios for fraud are farfetched but possible. Maybe Dr. Paul really won the election but the results were reported by all the individual voting stations to show that McCain won. And then, when the recount started, the offical ballots were stolen and replaced with different ones..... Not likely. Just filling out the ballots would take a looooong time.
The bottomline is that the folks who run elections are honest but not perfect. Can elections be rigged? Sure. Stolen? Sure. Didn't happen in NH and that was obvious from day one.

There is absolutely no way to know whether the ballots that were counted were the ballots that were submitted by voters. I don't believe there was even a "bar code" on each one to use as "inventory" to prove fraudulent ballots were submitted.
Regarding your use of "No 'Blackbox'", weren't Diebold machines used?
As I recall, there were first person stories about the machines not working at all or *being set up as Democrat ones*. Again, the programs for the counting *can* be doctored and that is *very fast* to do, as documented by Fox.
NH uses optical scanners
that simply count a paper ballot that voters have filled out. It is just like scoring an SAT. If a machine jams it is no big deal. The paper ballots are right there and they just get counted by hand. A "blackbox" rig is completely different and should not be used anywhere!
Anything reported by FOX should be suspect but in this case they are correct. The machines could be rigged say to count all McCain votes for Dr. Paul. Could every counter be rigged this way? Yup. But not likely to happen AND a recount or audit of the ballots would show the fraud.
Who the hell would sit around filling out fraudulent ballots by hand?

I have both an auditing background and an Information Technology quality assurance background.
There is no excuse for the total lack of training and total lack of any reliable processes, whatsoever.
I suspect that laws will be changed, based on the evidence from the NH recount. And that will have been an extremely good use for $60K. And who says that that amount was just raised from RP supporters vs. any people who wanted to know that the NH process was reliable?
It's not a matter of whether RP should have won, it's about whether *my vote counts as I voted* for every voter that made the effort that day.
Mail-in voting is every bit as bad. How do you even know your vote made it at all due to the USPS failing to deliver it on time/at all or to people seeing who the vote was for and "losing" the ballot?
And we dare to "teach" other countries how to have fair elections?

believe the election in NH was rigged? Or that the results are not accurate? You sound like an intelligent person to me so I would be somewhat shocked if, after thinking about this carefully, that you would say otherwise.
I predict that there will be no changes to the election laws in NH. None. There very well may be a new SOS and Deputy SOS, however. Public incompetence doesn't go over very well.
You should get involved in an actual election. Be involved in the process and you will see how it works, how people mess up ballots, how the ballots are counted, how honest the workers are, how mistakes are made, etc.
