Unbelievable

I'm dying to know who from the campaign thought this interview was a good idea. I'm already seeing press reports of people jumping on Ron Paul for calling tax evaders heroic and comparing them to Ghandi. RogueGovernment.com is a conspiracy-theory-driven organization that cannot possibly bring any promising advantage to Ron Paul's campaign. Voters care about Iraq, health care, and immigration, not the Federal Reserve, New World Order, and 9/11 conspiracy theories. As a strong believer in Ron Paul I'm not pleased with the decision to interview in that forum. There is nothing positive about their message.

My Interview With Dr. Paul

Sir,

By your logic, Ron Paul shouldn't have appeared on Coast 2 Coast AM which has one of the largest radio audiences in the United States for fear that the mainstream press might link Dr. Paul to believing in UFOs, space aliens, big foot and the loch ness monster. Dr. Paul has also been a frequent guest on the Alex Jones show which covers 9/11 truth extensively. The information covered on my web site is similar in nature to what Alex covers so I don't see what the real issue is here.

Each time the mainstream press has tried to smear Dr. Paul, its backfired. Dr. Paul made Neil Cavuto look foolish when he tried to smear him on his stance on taxes and Ed/Elaine Brown.

And I'm not sure if you watched the entire interview I did with him but I asked him about Iraq, health care and immigration as well as a wide variety of important issues. I do think you are way off base on voters not caring about the Federal Reserve, the New World Order and 9/11. The dishonest money system, globalization and the 9/11 cover-up are at the very heart of the problems that plague our country. The 9/11 Commission Report did not give us the full truth as to what actually happened that day and domestic and foreign policy has all been based off of 9/11. The problems with the Federal Reserve, New World Order and the flaws in the 9/11 Commission Report are not conspiracy theories, they are all based off of logic and reason.

Regards,

Lee

What he actually said

According to the concord monitor here's the quote:

"People who point this out and fight the tax code and fight the monetary code are heroic," he said in a video that's been linked to several pro-Brown websites. "I compare them to people like Gandhi, who was willing to speak out and try to bring about change in a peaceful manner. Martin Luther King fought laws that were unfair and unjust, and he suffered, too."

He's right. Go read about Franklin Sanders, John Kotmair and others who have been fighting this fight since the 70s.

There is no law that makes a citizen within the states liable for the income tax. That doesn't stop the government from ignoring acquittals and misapplying the laws. These people are courageous and those prosecuting them, liars and cowards who are using their power to deny rights rather than protect them.

Joel...

While I don't totally disagree with you, I don't think it will be that dramatic. Speaking for myself, learning the truth (not conspiracies) about the Fed, the IRS and 9/11 is what got me involved in the Ron Paul campaign. Had I not seen him in AFTF, I'd probably still be oblivious to these things and not hardly concerned with the next President. I think an open-minded, yet disenfranchised voter needs a decent dose of reality to rekindle his/her interest in the process. Additionally, what is the likelihood that the people you're worried about will even come across the interview? The onus to reach them is upon you and I. I, personally, will use discretion when trying to get them involved. Finally, you are not speaking for me when you suggest that voters aren't concerned with The Fed, NWO and 9/11.

illegal immigration (clip 3)

Payroll deductions may have a significant effect on illegal immigration by making legal/documented labor costs artificially high. When Ron Paul talks about the incentives for the immigrants to be here, he should also talk about the disincentive to hire legal/documented workers caused by the tax system. Two birds with one stone...

Food for thought...

If companies are hiring illegal, undocumented immigrants, what's to stop legal immigrants from being "undocumented" when they apply for jobs? How would you prove them wrong?

Externalities of the Tax Code

If companies are hiring illegal, undocumented immigrants, what's to stop legal immigrants from being "undocumented" when they apply for jobs? How would you prove them wrong?

My guess is that most of the legal immigrants are competing for the higher wage jobs not the low wage jobs that would otherwise go to high school kids as their summer jobs. That is, someone here legally with enough skills to make $25-$50/hr isn't going to "undocument" himself to go make $7-$15/hr.

If payroll deductions disappeared and the majority of low-wage jobs are going back to Americans suited for those jobs, how much risk do you think a Mexican is willing to take to sneak into the country not to be able to find any work, when he can stay in Mexico and not find any work?

When you over regulate something a black market naturally appears for that something. Illegal immigrants are just a black market for labor.
