Ron Paul - Battling for the Future of our Nation
Submitted by retrorepublican on Mon, 06/25/2007 - 18:11The title caught my attention. It made me feel kinda patriotic. This has been happening a lot over the past few months, ever since I heard about Ron Paul, the congressman from Texas.
We should all be aware of the assault on American sovereignty by international forces.
The move by our enemies, both domestic and foreign, to impose one-world government and reduce American independence and sovereignty to the waste heaps of history, is something I believe the American people must oppose with all our strength and determination.
But politicians and elites today even propose a “new America†including higher taxes and transforming our nation into a “North American Union,†opening our borders for an invasion of non-citizens (similar to the European Union). Such thinking would be an end of our country and we cannot allow that to happen without a fight.
Most Americans are sick of politicians, the empty promises and rhetoric. We know we desperately need new leadership and when Ron Paul — a conservative congressman from Texas — decided to run for president in 2008, I realized there was still hope for the future of America.
Paul is running on the Republican ticket.
Paul believes we must fight to uphold our Constitution and defend American sovereignty and have members of Congress brave enough to vote for smaller government and lower taxes, and balance our federal government.
I believe most Americans would agree with him. What’s more, Paul’s voting record in Congress proves he is trustworthy.
Please join Paul in the battle for the future of our nation, the opportunity may never come again.

Every little bit helps
Mankato may be a small newspaper (circulation 22,000) but apparently it's the leading news publication in a large swath of territory in southern Minnesota.
Even more important, the area is only an hour or so from northern Iowa!
