This is unfair, I cant

This is unfair, I cant discipline my children but you can tase them?

Wait, it gets better...

technically you can't smack them around, but you ARE allowed to waterboard them, since that isn't considered painful or anything.. ;)

Spare the rod

you spoil the child. We're seven in the family. We're poor, yet individually, my parents helped us find a way to stay out of trouble. We get spanked and we all, brothers and sisters, dreaded our parent's disapproval of anything stupid we've done. That kept us all straight. We got our college degrees through hard work and self-sufficiency. Work in the day, schooling at night. Difficult, yet it helped us make a lot of well-informed decisions. You don't need the government on how to raise your child. Just good parents.

Another reason for home

Another reason for home school.

why do they hate their own children?

Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

no need for taser

NO need for a taser..this girl just needed a good spanking...they ban spanking. .and get little monsters....

"and the truth shall make you free"
John 8:32

Nobody, Not One, Mentioned the Parent(s)

How can anyone not start with the primary persons responsible? It's the parents that should go to jail, if anyone.

It is possible that's why the juvenile was locked up: to get her away from them if they are unfit.

Children don't have the capacity to take full responsibility for their actions; that's why they can't vote or live alone.

I noticed too

They mentioned not enough discipline at the school, but the child is primarily the parents' responsibility and should be getting discipline at home.

Tasered

No doubt prescription drugs were involved.

MrTom

You are more than likely correct

When are they going to start holding doctors responsible for prescribing these drugs to children !

9 times out of ten

"Med's" are a contributory in situations like this. In many cases the parents have no say in the decision to medicate their children. If they refuse, the "system" makes life unbearable for them until they comply.

You have no control over your children or their actions once they leave your presence, so you can't say the parent is "responsible" in situations like this. This is the thinking of this generation, shift the blame. This child apparently has problems but there are many details we don't know about that caused this child to overload and lash out. Public schools are dog eat dog and some are not equipted emotionally even at this age to deal with the pressures that come at them from all sides.

Case in point, years ago my son had "problems" with a teacher. Mostly he had views different from hers and she was not having someone question her views, or "authority." I was offended by many things she had to say, and disagreed with her way of doing things. She insisted he needed to be on Meds. I said no so the battle was on. I wish I had had a recorder that day because she actually said to me that "I will ruin his school career." And that, she did.

From that point he had not a second of peace in her class and he could do no right in her opinion. She shared her opinions and things got worse. I'd drop him at the door, and he'd take off out the back.
