Saudi Arabia Braces For Nuclear War

The Kingdom 'braces for nuclear war'

Saudi Arabia is reportedly preparing to counter any 'radioactive hazards' which may result from a US strike on Iran's nuclear plants.

Popular government-guided Saudi newspaper Okaz recently reported that the Saudi Shura Council approved of nuclear fallout preparation plans only a day after US Vice President Dick Cheney met with the Kingdom's high ranking officials, including King Abdullah.

As a result of the Shura ruling, the Saudi government will start the implementation of 'national plans to deal with any sudden nuclear and radioactive hazards that may affect the Kingdom following expert warnings of possible attacks on Iran's Bushehr nuclear reactors'.

As the details of Cheney's recent discussions with his Arab allies remain unclear, pundits have begun to question the timing of the drastic measure by the Shura -- the elite group that implements the decisions of the autocratic inner circle.

Analysts claim the Bush administration had long rattled sabers with Iran over its nuclear program and is now informing its Arab allies of a potential war, in turn, allowing them to take precautionary measures.

With the sudden resignation of Admiral William Fallon, a high-ranking US military official who was a fierce critic of White House war rhetoric against Iran, and reports of the recent deployment of a US nuclear submarine in the Persian Gulf; there is speculation that Washington is moving forward with yet another war plan in oil-rich Middle East.

This is really goofy

since when do you bomb a nuclear power plant when you are supposedly worried about bomb building ? The Irony is the name of the plant , Bushehr ( Bush Heir ) sounds alot like Bush-co doesn't it ?

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !

Iran wants to stop selling

Iran wants to stop selling oil in U.S. dollars. Iran wants to sell all their oil in their own currency and in Euros. Our country's money masters, can't and won't let that happen.

Other currencies as well

Don't forget the Yen and Ruble... Russia now has interests there as well, as they are hoping it will help the Ruble become a world currency once more.

Whatever the strategic choice, from a purely economic point of view, should the Iranian Oil Bourse gain momentum, it will be eagerly embraced by major economic powers and will precipitate the demise of the dollar. The collapsing dollar will dramatically accelerate U.S. inflation and will pressure upward U.S. long-term interest rates. At this point, the Fed will find itself between Scylla and Charybdis—between deflation and hyperinflation—it will be forced fast either to take its “classical medicine” by deflating, whereby it raises interest rates, thus inducing a major economic depression, a collapse in real estate, and an implosion in bond, stock, and derivative markets, with a total financial collapse, or alternatively, to take the Weimar way out by inflating, whereby it pegs the long-bond yield, raises the Helicopters and drowns the financial system in liquidity, bailing out numerous LTCMs and hyperinflating the economy.

Written in Jan 2008, it is a pretty concise summary of what is happening. The Fed is currently taking the Weimar way out, which is not sustainable.

This is why we're going to war...lol.

if i were Iran...

i'd want nuclear weapons also. with the US in the neighborhood "helping" spread democracy to Iraq the Americans just might get the crazy idea to "help" out Iran. and just to make sure America gets the message that their "help" isn't wanted nuclear weapons are better than those big yard signs that way things like "lordy, lordy look who's 40".

i'm a combat veteran of OIF. and i don't call them insurgents. i call them freedom fighters. and i have the utmost respect for each and every one of them. at least they have the balls to stand up and fight for what they believe in. i only hope Americans will do the same when the Canadian army is patrolling our neighborhoods

Iread about a little over a

Iread about a little over a year ago that when Fallon was fired or stepped down , you need to be on the alert... when the news came out that fallon had "resigned" I knew this was not good!

as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD

Fallon's departure was a signal that all options are still

on the table to Iran. "* The Neoconservatives began almost twenty years ago to advocate what has come to be called “the long war,” in the vortex of which the world would be recast. One of them, the former CIA Director James Woolsey, tried to be optimistic, saying he hoped this world-wide and cataclysmic conflict would not last more than 40 years." William R Polk

Does war with Iran

Mean nuclear??? I know nuclear is not off the table, but some people just assume if we go to war with Iran, it will be nuclear. Also I have heard that bunker busters are nuclear and that the two nuclear bombs we dropped in world war II were not nuclear but hydrogen (or maybe that was nytrogen??). Anyone here know these answers?

Click that link in my lower post

and read Polk's commentary re: Nuclear question

the problem is that Irans

the problem is that Irans nuclear research and plants are far below ground and reinforced.. the US feels the only way to take them out is to use nuclear bunker busters... that is where the nuclear part of this comes in...
God help us all!

as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD

I read Bush has about 50 Nukes that could penetrate those

underground facilities and they'd have to use them if they had decided to go after Iran.

We will take out

nuclear power plants most likely with tactical nuclear weapons. this isn't mushroom cloud type stuff. The radiation will be from the power plants.

How is this possible

how can this be happening? Will no one stop this insanity?

Infomed Commentary by Polk Indicates Iran War more imminent

than most suspect. This is a long but, insightful read. The comments by others section is also very thoughful and echos many fears expressed by folks on Daily Paul.

The author, William R Polk was one of the top aides to John Kennedy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

"In conclusion, I believe that we are at one of those rare points in history when great nations find themselves, as Shakespeare put it so memorably at the changing of the tide:

The Life and Death of Julius Caesar
By William Shakespeare

Act IV. Scene III.

Camp near Sardis. Brutus's tent.

BRUTUS

Under your pardon. You must note beside,
That we have tried the utmost of our friends,
Our legions are brim-full, our cause is ripe:
The enemy increaseth every day;
We, at the height, are ready to decline.
There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat;
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures."

it seems to be

Up to you---and me.
