Can you all help me put together a list of organizations that are in alignment with the objectives or the Ron Paul Revolution? Here's a short list I've started putting together. I strongly encourage discussion regarding any information regarding as well as the pros and cons of any organizations mentioned.

Go to www.theadvocates.org and check out the Links- there are tons of liberty/libertarian organizations listed there. Also, check out the Celebrities link, you'll be surprise who all are listed there!

Institute for Justice (libertarian ACLU) www.ij.org They are awesome.

Of course the Libertarian Party, www.lp.org They are having a great year of super growth with a ton of great candidates. In fact RP has been meeting with them to probably have Bob Barr run as their presidential candidate, whom RP will then endorse. As we have see in NC the Republicans are rigging the whole game agaist us and the Libertarian Party is our new home. Once this settles on the RP campaign we have to go in mass over to the libertarians. Gravel who ran for President with the Democrats just joined the LP last week!

Awesome! Thanks for posting. I'm trying to uncover groups trying to promote limited, constitutional government and protect individual rights and hopefully put something together to get them some exposure. There's a number of groups already mentioned here that I and many others I'm sure have never heard of before.

Before I fell in with Ron Paul and FairTaxers didn't. That makes me wonder if they should be on this list. They are having a rally April 12. Have they invited Ron Paul to speak at their rally??? Wonder how many of them have voted for Ron Paul. I know Ron Paul is accepting of them and FairTax as a step towards getting done what he wants done, but they don't give him the time of day. Makes me a little impatient.

If you allow snake oils salesmen/women politicians start illegal Federal Sales Tax with excuse of eliminating Income Tax, we will certainly end up with BOTH.

Just look the history. Excuse to start income tax was that it would tax only 3% richest people of the country. They, politicians, promised to not charge from middle class to be able to start charging avoiding risk of popular rebellion. Excuse to start withholding was that withholding was a temporary war measure to end at the end of World War II. They, politicans, used war as excuse to shove it down the throat of the people.

Both are still around, grown to astronomical numbers and are charging middle class heavily.

Peter G Peterson is an enemy of liberty!

From Wikipedia:

Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations 1985-2007

Senior Chairman of the private equity firm, the Blackstone Group

In 1969, Peterson was invited by philanthropist John D. Rockefeller 3rd, CFR Chairman John J. McCloy, and former Treasury Secretary Douglas Dillon to chair a Commission on Foundations and Private Philanthropy, which became known as the Peterson Commission.

He also serves as Trustee of the Rockefeller family's Japan Society and the Museum of Modern Art, and was previously on the board of Rockefeller Center Properties, Inc..

Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York between 2000 and 2004. He helped create the housing bubble!

I was wondering when someone

I was wondering when someone was going to question this. The Peter G. Peterson Foundation is the group that hired David Walker to be their CEO. Peterson is also one of the founders of the Concord Coalition. Out of curiosity, I've started reading one of his books, "Running on Empty", which seems pretty good so far.

So, I don't know if they should or shouldn't be included.

National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (many libertarians)
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (fight for liberty everyday)
Marijuana Policy Project (medical marijuana freedom and ballot initiatives)
Drug Policy Alliance (wants to regulate all drugs, not just pot)
SAFER - Colorado group that wants alcohol/marijuana equalization laws
Students for Sensible Drug Policy
Americans for Safe Access
and the dreaded ACLU - Drug Policy Section.

There are many many of these types of groups- i have tried to narrow down the largest of said groups. You didnt specify what you meant by freedom, but if freedom means anything, its the right of an adult citizen to get off of work and imbide in something other than alcohol or prescription meds to relax. And i know Dr Paul supports both medical marijuana in the states that allow it and opposes the war on drugs in general. So i thought this would help broaden your list.
