UN tries to declare water as a human right!!!

Thank God Canada defeated the almost unanimous Human Rights Council Vote
The UN tried to mandate that water rich countries would be forced to distribute water to drought ridden countries. Also in the legislation was a mandate to provide "clean" (i mean flouridated) water to all peoples of the world.
Here is a link to the Toronto Star story:

**It is important to note that the Star is our left leaning paper so you will have to read between the lines
Oh yeah I must end with how proud I am of the Canadian conservatives for sticking to the international communist bastards on this one! 8]

It's just another way of making sure that...
...whats yours really isn't yours, but it's theirs instead.
If this was ever passed it
If this was ever passed it would probably result in us, the U.S., hiring Haliburton to purchased bottled water from various water companies and distributing it to those people who supposedly need it. Heck, they would probably go so far as to buy bottled water to water the plants.
All of it would be at our expense...
...
If this is so doable
Then why did our southeastern states have so much trouble with the drought a few months ago. Apparently we couldn't even get water from the great lakes down to Georgia, much less half way around the world? Apparently I am missing something and need to go study.
The Great Lakes governors
are fighting hard against letting the lakes be drained by anyone, including the south. States' rights are very important to those of us here in Michigan and other GL states; the Feds and the global autocrats want our water bad

Its really about the bigger picture and not just water
watch this video on UN's Agenda 21, it explains it better.

Gee, can we get the UN to ban dihydrogen monoxide?
After all, it kills people, it is a chemical solvent, it contributes to erosion, it's found in common household cleaners, foods, beverages, and poisons, cancer cells are loaded with it, etc. etc. etc.
OK, you can stop laughing now!
You mean with a petition?
Kind of like when Penn & Teller got environmentalists to sign a petition to ban H2O? Like this?

It would be at least worth a shot
God knows allot of people signed a petition to ban it...LOL
Here is a video about agenda 21/ UN water agenda
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-893921550183947386
This is the description of the video
"Joan Peros talks about her trip to the United Nations Summit in South Africa. She exposes the fraud of Agenda 21, Global warter policy, ... all » Sustainable Development, Earth Charter, global religion. She states the UN is moving to Enforcement on programs "We the people" aren't even aware are active in the United States of Ameria. United Nations Global Agenda 21 Active now around the whole world. just google it"
They are trying to sign the rights of The Great Lakes
over to the United Nations. Four states have agreed to it already, and two Canadian providences already have agreed to it. We are fighting it in Ohio, I hope we win. It is called Agenda 21. God help us.
Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

Here ya go
It's called Agenda 21
You have to love forced
You have to love forced charity.
I'd like to examine the actual documents and see what power this would have truly given the UN. I imagine it would become some sort of governing body over all the worlds fresh water. That's what we need, greater centralization and a government monopoly.
It should be becoming quite apparent to many that we are moving towards a one-world fascist government. Whether we like it or not.

Agenda 21 is the answer you are looking for.
you know, I don't mind giving water to
people who need it. I suppose I would do that out of kindness. The real question is, how can anyone mandate it ? And why ? Since, for drinking, it is easy to create simple devices that purify enough water - there are these cool straws - http://www.treehugger.com/files/2005/08/life_straw_all.php
Actually, what they want, in my view, is UN control of the water in the middle east, where it becomes an important issue for agriculture and industry. One of the key issues between Israel, Lebanon and Syria are water rights. Oh, Syria won't let Israel have water during a drought - the UN will step in and force them to share at the point of a gun. This is yet another way to allow the Rich countries to intervene in the third world, and provide moral justification (so called) to their populace.
Don't forget
Both Russia and Canada have massive water resources coveted by many countries
Nothing like good ol' fashioned reditribution
Great... so if we get
Great... so if we get thirsty we just need to invade Canada...
...
Cool Straws!! No kidding!
Now those I would buy to give away. I'm passing this on.
Hope some entrepreuer in, say China, does not start to counterfit them.
Maybe they will come up with one for salt water.

UN = New World Order
How do we elect better people to the UN. Oh yea right they aren't elected they are appointed and making our laws!
Now if only Australians would show some guts.
My state will be fluoridating water at the end of the year -- by decree of our Premier (Governor). It's for the poor children. We must sacrifice so they don't get cavities.
I wouldn't mind some of that clean Canadian water. We're about to drink treated sewage. No, really, it's safe. They said so.

wow
This really shows how the UN will handle things, no sovereignty at all.
"Endless money forms the sinews of war." - Cicero, www.freedomshift.blogspot.com
This really frustrates me
... because the UN has never been given governing authority over any nation - In fact the UN charter clearly states that the UN is merely a "forum for discussion" of member nations.
unfortunately the sheeple of the world looks to the UN as the global authority on everything
too true.. Big Brother knows best
and its not enough to obey Big Brother, you have to love him too.
The lust for power and control over the earth by those who think they know best, is very frightening and they are just getting started.
I don't like much of what our Canadian administration has done lately, but this committee did great!

I dunno, the whole thing sounds stupid.
Why should anyone be forced to have to export their natural resources to another country that doesn't have its own?
Easy...
So one day we can all be the same, with the same owners....lol.
WTG Canucks!!!!
I mean, we're coming up on paying taxes to support poor countries.. food out of our mouths. Why not water too? Fluorinated is a plus.. you can dumb them down while doing it!

this is great!
Way to show some balls up there. I'm proud of my neighbor across the lake!
