Silver:Gold ratio

A few relevant statistics...

Ratoi of silver to gold in the planet: 17:1
Historic price ratio silver to gold: 16:1
Current silver:gold ratio: 53:1

hmmmmmmmm..... trade FRN's or Gold for Silver under these conditoins!

I have no more gold at the time...when the ratio returns to the 17 range I will trade some amount of silver for gold to reach parity with the numbers...

My personal metals strategy:

ratoi 15:1 or below trade FRN's and Silver for Gold

ratio 15.1:1 to 19.9:1: trade FRN's for metals and metals for each other to make holdings look like current ratio . (if the current ratio is 17:1 you want to have 17oz of silver to each oz of gold)

ratio 20:1 and above trade FRN's and Gold for Silver

Again, the current ratio is pprox 53!!!

This is a total no brainer...

regardless of what happens to the price of silver in FRN's...you will win with this strategy...

when the dollar crashes you will need silver to purchase anything

yes but what

exactly is the best thing to do? Convert the silver back into dollars (it would be a lot of them) and pay off your house? Sell it all for as many dollars as you can? What happens when they come up with another sound money system and the dollars are not used? Then what? I am trying to wrap my head around this! Sorry!

many choices

If silver goes skyhigh but real estate prices continue to fall, use it to buy land when prices level off. If silver goes skyhigh and the dollar copllapses, use it to pay off your debts before the dollar is replaced and loans converted by law.

If the dollar evaporates and another currency takes its place, sell them in the new currency.

If the economy degrades into barter, use silver to barter for what you need.

If the government makes it illegal to own silver, cast silver into bullets and use them to kill tyrants and their running dogs.

If, SIlver goes to say $1000.00 (or Higher)

Now I own a Silver Eagle worth $1000.00. And lets say I owe $1000.00 on my house. Who do I sell that Silver Eagle to for $1000.00 to get the cash to pay off the loan? Or do I ask the Bank to take the Silver Eagle?

I would rather be stuck with silver and gold than paper.

I plan on selling right

I plan on selling right before it starts going back down after the collapse.

Sell for

what exactly?

The "Dollar Crash"

when it comes, will follow the same pattern as all "crack-up booms" have before it. The key is knowing when to sell. There were examples of the "crack-up boom" period of hyperinflation of the Wiemar Republic where farmers were able to pay off their entire debts with the sale of a single egg. IF it gets to the point where you can pay off your mortgage with the sell of a single Morgan silver dollar, then do so. Always hold a reserve for purchases, but knowing when to sell is the important part, and then plow those FRNs back into other assets - preferably land.

Sell it

for something other than dollars is what I assume I will need to do.

Use it to buy..

Food, and gardening materials. Barter it for fuel to heat your home.
