Standing in the way of war with Iran

By now I'm sure we've all heard rumors of the desire of the Bush administration to attack Iran. From the loose information I've gotten from places it seems some key individuals decided to (courageously) stand in the way of these plans. First, there was the intelligence person that made the report available on Iran having stopped their weapons program in 2003--flying directly in the face of speeches by Bush about that alleged danger. Then I hear of the recent resignation of Admiral William Fallon, head of U.S. Central Command being the lone voice of opposition to Bush's military approach to Iran. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly is Senator Joe Biden (D, Delaware), as Foreign Relations Committee chairman publicly warning Bush that he would move to impeach if Bush unilaterally took military action against Iran without congressional approval (article/video). I have a suspicion that without these kinds of hurdles we would already be engaged in war with Iran. Make no mistake, with the dollar sliding fast and his term ending Bush is pressed for action on Iran.

I was just wondering, should us thousands of Ron Paul supporters who believe in minding our own business internationally and being responsible for ourselves maybe send a fruit basket and card of support to these people for potentially preventing World War III?

The question I have

is if Bush were to actually to do something unheard of from him and seek Congressional approval, how many of them would go along with it. So, is it an unthinkable action to them, or do they just want to be part of the decision. Also, it is a sign of the times that the reports of activities and rumors are coming from Russia and other parts of the world and all is very quiet here.

On Global Governance...

The world is shrinking with modernization and the Internet. All people desire freedom. It seems to me that the system which gives the most power to the people is a Constitutional Republic as we have, so should this be the end result for every nation as opposed to a one world government?

Biden is CFR

I don't know what his angle is but Biden is a long-standing member of CFR. Here's a link to Biden at the CFR this year. http://youtube.com/watch?v=yZFyol_cCvU&feature=related

There are two..

.. main "factions" within the CFR. They both want global governance but differ in how to get there:

The first is the Brzenzinski faction that wants to slowly convince and guide the people of the earth gently and with persuasion.

The second group, like the neocons who are in-fact Trotskyites, who prefer the more disruptive and forceful Trotsky method of the "worldwide democratic revolution" tactic of war and intentional destabilization of cultures and governments to violently bring about change ("creative destruction" as they call it)...

Both of their goals is global governance...

Nice to see another who has researched that

I had thought I was alone...lol

I call Conyers regularly

and ask him to get the impeachment underway. Waiting until Iran is attacked is too late. I'll give Biden an attaboy next dialing session.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

They are just..

.. grandstanding. If the dems were going to impeach bush they would have already started.

The sad truth is that the Congress-critters collectively have a quarter of a billion dollars of stock in military-industrial companies. The pigs will not destroy their troughs. Although they seem to be excellent thespians...

Nobody else going to let

Nobody else going to let Senator Biden know we support his opposition to Bush attacking Iran?

I just sent this message...

Dear Senator Biden:

Getting right to the point - THANK YOU for your opposition to Bush UNILATERALLY ATTACKING IRAN!

Your courage to publicly oppose the Bush administration on this issue has not went unnoticed. I am actually a supporter of Presidential candidate Ron Paul, a Republican congressman from Texas. Dr. Paul has hundreds of thousands of supporters who believe in his message of minding our own business internationally, and shun the war doctrine of the Bush administration. In this regard, you should know that you also have this support.
