No, it was rescinded (ironically, by another executive order) signed by President Ford in December, 1974. I remember a picture in our local newspaper of the first person in the US to officially, legally buy gold in decades --- a gold one-ounce ingot, as it happened.

the US mint now makes coins and sells them so i would think that the communist dipstick FDR's orders are void! but the government can do anything they want at anytime!
