Ahmadinejad calls 9/11 suspicious- used for war in Iraq and Afghanistan... he's next.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24155046

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cast doubt Wednesday over the U.S. version of the Sept. 11 attacks, calling it a pretext used to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

Although Iran has condemned the 2001 al-Qaida attacks on New York and Washington in the past, this was the third time in a week that Ahmadinejad questioned the death toll, who was behind the attacks and how it happened.

"Four or five years ago, a suspicious event occurred in New York. A building collapsed and they said that 3,000 people had been killed but never published their names," Ahmadinejad told Iranians in the holy city of Qom.

Under this pretext, the U.S. "attacked Afghanistan and Iraq and since then a million people have been killed only in Iraq," Ahmadinejad said in the speech broadcast live on state-run television.

On the last anniversary of the attacks, the names of 2,750 victims killed in New York were read aloud at a memorial ceremony.

'Inhumane managing of the world'
Last year, Ahmadinejad raised questions over the attacks, saying "what caused it, what were the conditions that led to it, who truly was involved" needed to be examined.

Ahmadinejad has said the attack was a result of "mismanaging and inhumane managing of the world by the U.S." and the attack should not be turned into another Holocaust "used for slaughtering people."

Although Iran has condemned the U.S. invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, the campaigns toppled the Taliban and Saddam Hussein, two regional threats to Iran.

Is this what the neo-cons want to destroy????/

Seems like people just like you and I.........People that just want to raise their family's and live in peace. One thing not understood is that these people will not just lay down if attacked and by that they will fight to the last man woman and child.

Hypocrisy

If some country tried to deny us nuclear capabilities what would we do? The hypocrisy is staggering....

Here is the true reason we are going to war with Iran:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbakN7SLdbk (video from 2007)

And BTW, Operation Mockingbird has been blatantly twisting his words for years now. Almost everything you hear is lies....

"The body is but a vessel for the soul,
A puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny.
And lo, the body is not eternal,
For it must feed on the flesh of others,
Lest it return to the dust whence it came.
Therefore the soul deceives and despises."

Ron Paul on Ahmadinejad

RS: What do you make of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and current U.S. posturing toward Iran?

RP: He's a loudmouth, and he hurts their cause. But we help his cause when we gang up against him. When we pass sanctions against him, the dissidents in Iran who would like to get rid of him rally around him for nationalistic reasons.

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/17323345/ron_paul_a_r...

Bully?

see, Ron Paul didn't call him a Bully. He actually stated:

We get hysterical over a guy who doesn't have a single weapon, and nobody's proven that he's ever violated the arms-nonproliferation treaty.

So sorry.

He hurts their cause

that's the relevant part - and I was correct about that. Whether he said Bully or , loudmouth or both, no difference and is not relevant

When

When was the last time Iran attacked another nation?

Approximately 1700 years

Approximately 1700 years ago.

WOW!

Now I understand why the US Government wants to bomb Iran. A peace loving nation like that could put the Military - Industrial Complex out of business. We can't have that now can we.

I believe

He wants war as badly as the neo-cons do. (maybe more--He has the whole world to thumb his nose at-- Mc Cain just has those who care about the
Constitution.)

Obviously he didn't see the Super Bowl that year

Since behind Bono they had a big sheet that listed every last one of them. I remember it distinctly because I saw my own real name up there and screeched out "WTF?!!?" I found out later that another person with my name died that day in Tower 2. Eeerie, I tell you.

Argggggghhhhhhhh....sorry

Argggggghhhhhhhh....sorry about the double posting...please flag one of them.....things aren't working very well for me at the DP today....thx for your patience and understanding

**the soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears**

He's an idiot

That wants war almost as bad as the neocons. It will solidify his power, and he knows that the U.S. does not have the abillity to occupy Iran.

A short sharp war, even with the U.S. doing significant damage to Iran, will work in his favor (unless he is killed, which won't likely happen). It will cause an increase in the insurgency in Iraq, and long term hurt the U.S.

Of course it will hurt alot of the Iranian people, but he could care less about them.

He doesn't want war ironman.

He doesn't want war and he's most definitely not an idiot ironman. You need to go read up on some history of the US in that region and read what Ron Paul has to say about foreign policy and dollar hegemony.

Also, Iran doesn't need to have some sort of power grab. They will become part of the SCO and they have the world's largest creditor getting a VERY large portion of its petrol from them. The world's largest creditor also has the worlds largest military. Has the worlds largest manufacturing base. Has one of the fastest growing middle classes in the world. Will have the largest car market in less than 2 years. Iran doesn't need to solidify anything. They have BEEN solidified for quite some time. The people here are just slow to catch up to current events. And past events insofar as Iran's world power position is concerned. Just look at alllllllll the nations basically ignoring US sanctions against Iran. Nobody gives 2 craps what America thinks any more. America is a has been super power that is dying off.

It seems to me you are perturbed because even higher level officials other than architects, structural engineers, demolitions experts, one of the people that created the WTC, and police/firemen are stepping up and saying 9/11 is a total crock. If you can't come to grips with it, I understand. The truth hurts.

I will not call you names--

but there are benefits to him if he gets in a war--whether he does with US or Israel. 1) He gains respect from the Arab nations for standing up to the US or Israel, 2) He puts fear into the citizen's hearts that he chooses to attack. 3) If he does have nukes, he can be the first leader in the Mid-east to try them out. (he KNOWS Israel won't be the first--but they may be the last)

you are so full of shit

This is the guy that said there are no gay people in Iran. OK. he is an idiot.

He absolutely does want war, or at least a threat of war. I know quite well what Ron Paul said about Iran, he is correct. But Ron Paul also said that Ahmadinajad HURTS the iranian case, and that he is a loud mouth and a Bully.

IF the Iranian people are threatened, they will join together behind extremists. Ahmadinejad is an extremist, and he would like to solidify his political support, and the threat from the U.S. or a short war will help him.

BTW, as for 911, Ron Paul said it was blowback for our middle east policy. If it was an inside Job, then the case for blowback from a failed foreign policy isn't very good. If we were not attacked by terrorists on 911, then our middle east policy could not have caused it, right.

see post below

Nice Language There, Very Loving and Understanding

The expressing of opinions as truth is a practice lacking in compassion. Who holds the absolute truth in their heart, who knows the absolute truth? All I see here is relativity in play.

You are defending your own opinions out of fear when you resort to insults. Your opinions have as much value as the next person and your knowledge is limited, that is why we respect each others opinions with compassion and understanding.

Please, play nicely!

What would Ron Paul do?

Sygnus, that was beautiful

I may want to use it some time if the situation arises and you don't mind...

wrong ironman

It was blowback for our middle east policy, and I never denied that it wasn't 19 terrorists that flew planes into the building. I've only given you one video to watch which you have refused to do. Your loss.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8182697765360042032
Again, I've read all the articles you've posted and watched the Debunker vid. You, unfortunately, refuse to show me the same respect in the search for truth.

As for Iran, he absolutely does not want war or a threat of war. That's stupid. He wants Iran to continue to be the middle eastern super power that it already is without threat from a dying super power who has pre-emptively invaded 2 nations using some fairly shaky evidence at best. Iran has every legal right to nuclear reactors. Period. I would like you to reference where Ron Paul says that he is a loud mouth, a bully and hurts the Iranian cause please.

The US has been trying to get back into Iran for decades ever since the removal of the Shah that was put in power after Operation Ajax. The Iranians will never again fall for the BS ops the US tries to pull in Iran. That's the reason the current US regime is highly pissed because they can't get the ppl there to turn against their leader. The Iranian's got burned once. Shame on them. They won't be getting burned again.

Dozens of nations are rejecting the dying US super power in it's calls for everyone to not do business with Iran. See, the US used to be more than half of global GDP. Now it's barely above 20%. We are the single largest debtor nation with little manufacturing who is creating money out of thin air to continue our empire. Volker raised interest rates to 21% in the 80's to stop the inflation. We were a creditor nation with mega manufacturing then..........now, it's the exact opposite....and we've created a LOT more money to pump into the economy than we did in the 50's and 60's. How high do you think the interest rates will go this time? 50% 75?? The world knows the US is going down. The quicker you can see the forest through the trees, the clearer world events are going to be to you bro.

These other nations just want the US to fizzle out without going out with a nuclear bang.....it seems that most of the ignorant populace and politicians here don't understand that and are bent on attacking Iran. When you can finally get it through your head that the world doesn't need us, we owe the world a LOT of money, and we have been the bully and the loud mouth, THEN you can come talk with me. Until then, you are just another one of the folks that are part of the problem man.

I absolutely have watched the video

You suggested, and frankly I find it unconvincing. I have written about this in another thread, and I won't go point by point through the mistakes the speaker makes.

As for the 19 terrorists, if you are saying that it was, in fact teroorists that flew the planes into the buildings, but that the government demolished the buildings to cause a more dramatic event, you have the sticky problem of explaining how the government knew which floor the terrorist would hit, since everyone agrees that the collapse started where the plane damaged the building.

I wish I could find the interview where RP talked about Ahmadinejad, I don't have the time to look, it was an interview with fox, where they were asking about his holocaust denial - back when they were trying to make RP look like a nazi.

wrong yet again

I dont know which thread you are talking about, or what points you make against that very well laid out video of the evidence. As for which floors, if all the floors explosives were rigged with remote detonators using wifi, they could choose which floors explosives would detonate first. Not very sticky of a problem at all. I'm not saying that is or is not what occurred, but any explanation you can give, I can give you a credible counter point. The fact remains that there was and is and will continue to be reasonable doubt into the official story of what happened that day and that there needs to be a re-investigation as both kucinich and ron paul have advocated. So are you with Ron Paul on this or not??? These hundreds of military and government officials are:
http://patriotsquestion911.com/professors.html

Also, I see you "dont have time" to find the interview with RP calling him a bully and a loud mouth. Well here, I took the time to look at what Ron Paul has said pertaining to Iran and will paste it for you:

June 21, 2007
Have We Forgotten 2003 Already?
Statement on H Con Res 21
by Rep. Ron Paul
This resolution is an exercise in propaganda that serves one purpose: to move us closer to initiating a war against Iran. Citing various controversial statements by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, this legislation demands that the United Nations Security Council charge Ahmadinejad with violating the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

Having already initiated a disastrous war against Iraq citing UN resolutions as justification, this resolution is like déja-vu. Have we forgotten 2003 already? Do we really want to go to war again for UN resolutions? That is where this resolution, and the many others we have passed over the last several years on Iran, is leading us. I hope my colleagues understand that a vote for this bill is a vote to move us closer to war with Iran.

Clearly, language threatening to wipe a nation or a group of people off the map is to be condemned by all civilized people. And I do condemn any such language. But why does threatening Iran with a pre-emptive nuclear strike, as many here have done, not also deserve the same kind of condemnation? Does anyone believe that dropping nuclear weapons on Iran will not wipe a people off the map? When it is said that nothing, including a nuclear strike, is off the table on Iran, are those who say it not also threatening genocide? And we wonder why the rest of the world accuses us of behaving hypocritically, of telling the rest of the world “do as we say, not as we do.”

I strongly urge my colleagues to consider a different approach to Iran, and to foreign policy in general. General William Odom, President Reagan’s director of the National Security Agency, outlined a much more sensible approach in a recent article titled “Exit From Iraq Should Be Through Iran.” General Odom wrote: “Increasingly bogged down in the sands of Iraq, the U.S. thrashes about looking for an honorable exit. Restoring cooperation between Washington and Tehran is the single most important step that could be taken to rescue the U.S. from its predicament in Iraq.” General Odom makes good sense. We need to engage the rest of the world, including Iran and Syria, through diplomacy, trade, and travel rather than pass threatening legislation like this that paves the way to war. We have seen the limitations of force as a tool of U.S. foreign policy. It is time to try a more traditional and conservative approach. I urge a “no” vote on this resolution.

I look forward to more of your comments.

Iron man is a shill

I thought you knew Neo. Isn't it obvious? Don't waste your time because he is PAID to believe the "official" lie.

"The body is but a vessel for the soul,
A puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny.
And lo, the body is not eternal,

You seriously believe that,

You seriously believe that, don't you?

THATS irony

denies the holocaust but scratches his beard and says "hmmm suspicious" about 9.11 ...someone get a translation of the PNAC to this guy.

I don't remember

him denying anything. He did give people who disagreed with History's version of the holocaust a platform to speak. If you haven't noticed it is now ILLEGAL to deny that it happened in some countries. Right or Wrong, Holocaust or No Holocaust...we still have the right to our opinion and our voices. Only you have to go to Iran for some of those freedoms that we no longer have in America thanks to George "nazi" Busche and Dick "I'll shoot you in the face" Cheney.

I did the research on this

I did the research on this which included asking the members of my family who speak Arabic. I found out the following pertinent info: he didn't deny the Holocaust occurred but rather stated that he thought the numbers were being exploited by some members of the Jewish community. He based this comment on the same sources used by folks such as Norman Finkelstein who was refused tenure at a Chicago university for his writings on this subject. Hitler didn't have Access to 6 million Jews during the time of the Holocaust and burned bodies are not identifiable as being Jew or non-Jew. Plus a team of European scientists went to study the mass grave sites in Poland/Germany only to discover that scientific evidence Proved some of those grave sites were in areas where the earth had not been disturbed as recently as the Holocaust.
I don't care for Ahmadinejad so please don't misinterpret my statement as such. Noteworthy details to me are that Iran has not attacked another country in over 1700 years and Ahmadinejad is more often misquoted/mistranslated than not. Translators have even been fired over his words and how they came out in the press.

**the soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears**

Ahmadinejad is probabbly correct

If 6 Million Jews were killed and disposed of during approx 56 monthts of WW II, I really don't see how it was possible. The Germans would have to have killed approx 108,000 Jews every month from the very first month of the war to the very end. When you take into consider the dates the work camps came into opperation and the time it would take to arrest and transport people, I just don't see how it is possible. The numbers don't add up, they never did.

Myron Fagan on Hitler....

"Thus craftily inspired and coached by his financial-advisers, the Warburgs, the Rothschilds, and all the Illuminati masterminds; he blamed the Jews for the hated "Versailles Treaty" and for the financial ruination that followed the war. The rest is history. We know all about the Hitler concentration-camps and the incineration of hundred of thousands of Jews. Not the 6,000,000 nor even the 600,000 claimed by the conspirators; but it was enough. And here let me reiterate how little the internationalist bankers, the Rothschilds, Schiffs, Lehmans, Warburgs, Barouks, cared about their racial brethren who were the victims of their nefarious schemes. In their eyes; the slaughter of the several hundred thousand innocent Jews by Hitler didn't bother them at all. They considered it a necessary sacrifice to further their Illuminati one-world plot just as the slaughter of the many millions in the wars that followed was a similar necessary sacrifice. And here is another grisly detail about those concentration-camps. Many of the Hitler soldier-executioners in those camps had previously been sent to Russia to acquire their arts of torture and brutalization so as to emphasize the horrors of the atrocities.
