When you fight a war you go after the opponents weaknesses, not their strengths
We all know by now that we have to take over congress and the senate. I want Ron Paul to win the presidency like my life depends on it, I guess it might anyway. In all seriousness, the government weakness is totally at the local level. This presidency is protected and defended by the richest of the rich, the smartest of the smart, they will stop at nothing to retain their position. To think we can just take over the White House is not the most realistic of goals, I pray to God we make it realistic. The shadow government has the position of the presidency so protected. We must all put a great deal of effort into our local governmental positions. Are there Secret Servicemen guarding congress or senators, No! I am not saying for you to go out and shoot them, I am saying these positions are not protected by the elitists, they don't have the time to round up every worker in every local election to brainwash them, or bribe them or what have you. Local government is the Achilles heal of these masterminds. Isn't it great to know that they have left themselves wide open, for us to kick their ass. Think about that and get to work locally, don't let the presidential election absorb all of your energy so that you don't think about doing something locally. Keep up the great work.

You hit this right out of the park
I went to my republican caucus here in MA, less than a hundred people in my district (72 to be exact). You really don't need more than a few people to make major changes. You grab the local positions and you dictate the state direction. You dictate the state direction, you control the national. You might think it is really hard to take over but sadly it is not. If you need help in your local area ask every Ron Paul forum and you will win. My friend is running for Probate and Family Court, Barnstable county and several of us are taking the time to go to places and promote him. We are going to win and take one small step in getting our courts back. You can do the same even if it is only at the PTA meetings. NO EFFORT IS LOST!! You might not win the battle of the day, but you still steer the course. I started this with my caucus experience, there was only 13 of us but the lowest vote for our folks was 23 and the highest 39. You may not win every time but you will ALWAYS have a lasting impact.
Take Action
The problem with our government is not the government itself but the people ALLOWING the government to get away with everything. It doesn't matter what level we gain control of the government as long as the people take action and participate in the process.
We all evaluate and analyze everything going on...but we need to take more action.
I'm running for Mayor in my town just to get involved...the revolution doesn't stop here...

YES!!!!
Jack please let us know where you are running so we can help. Small town or big city doesn't matter. Somebody on this forum had a great analogy for this, the cruise ships and other big boats have massive rudders to steer the ship but no engine is big enough to turn these rudders that weigh several tons. They use a smaller rudder almost 1000th of the size to move the massive rudder and ship. The author's point being it only takes the concentrated effort of a few to move a nation.

and I are having some kind of osmosis, I see his thread about this having to start at the local level. I hope all of our great minds will think alike. Keep up the great work.

Local is the absolute, most
Local is the absolute, most important place we should all be! This is all part of that wonderful common sense that the Constitution was built on and that Ron Paul so graciously personifies.
