Email tells delegates to applaud -- and stay out of politics at RNC convention

RNC is trying to discourage us, they are scared we can really make a difference.

"According to the Seventh Congressional District, national delegates are meaningless," said Minnesota state coordinator for Ron Paul, Marianne Stebbins. "They're trying to talk our people out of running."

Among the general requirements for a delegate described in the email — registration fee, responsibility for hotel bills and the commitment to attend the convention — was the unusual expectation to "contribute significantly to the national party and campaign, $1,000 is almost a minimum."

Their strategy will not work

And I am sure all those who are elected delegates and all those who want to voluntere will not be scared by those tactics, Ron Paul supporters went through the worst, they will not give up because the RNC is trying to misinform them, since when do we listen to what the RNC is saying?

And by the way it is time to prepare a money Bomb for the people who will be at the convention as delegates or volunteers, let's do it, I put my money where my mouth is!

I applied for National Delegate

Razorwind Studios is an official endorser of Ron Paul, and we will live free or die! 14th alternate to MN state!

and was turned down, of course. Anyway, the was information presented about accomodations. Here is the thing: you are NOT required to stay in their hotel, however, you need to be there at about 8AM to get you badge for the day (there are different badges each day). Parking in that area will be very limited, and no "protection" will be offered for anyone walking to the hotel.

There's little motels everywhere

Cheap too I might add, and if you get one in Minneapolis, the number 16 busline goes within a few blocks of the convention in St. Paul and I bet Metro will have dedicated shuttles running back and forth between the cities. I don't think the cost will be that high to stay here for a week.

Real eyes realize real lies

We want our country back

Every year is a year for Ron Paul!

Won't work

Within a huge area around the convention center, only persons arriving on official buses will be let in. You can only get on the official busses by being at your state delegation's hotel at the appointed time each day. You have to travel with your state delegation to and from the convention center.

What; seriously?

A delegate cannot arrive in a taxi or rental car or by foot, and be allowed in? Why on earth is that? I would expect delegates would have some sort of official "delegate I.D." that would get them in the doors, however they arrived...

and for the love of Benji

be anonymous until ya get in : )

It is tempting to want to wear your Ron Paul badge

but don't. It's almost as repulsive as a burqa to your average neo-con GOP delegate. They will agree with many of your debate arguments as long as they have no idea you are a RP delegate. But as soon as they see Ron Paul, they will discount you and everything you have to say, they will completely ignore or try to marginalize you. Stealth is the way to win this thing.

As a delegate to our state convention myself, I saw the way people reacted to me as a person, when they had no idea I was a RP delegate and it was exactly as stated above, compared to the few times I put on my RP badge.
