New York Internet Sales Tax!!!

I just read in the newspaper today that New York state has passes a law, effective as of June 2008 that all online retailers not based in New York are required to begin charging New York sales tax to all its N.Y. customers. This is effective for every retailer whose profits exceed $10,000.
Yeah, that is exactly the way to get our economy out of the duldrums, burden the most expensive city in the world with even more taxes than we already have.
