The GOP asked me to fill out a survey then asked for a donation Here is my response!!!
Submitted by bucfish on Thu, 04/24/2008 - 18:30But as to donating. I will never donate to the GOP with McCain, a true liberal, as their nominee. Get Ron Paul as their nominee and I will max out. I am a life long conservative and Republican. But will never support a man such as McCain who has never supported a tax cut and proposed an illegal amnesty bill with Ted Kennedy. Plus was part of the Keating 5 scandal in the late 80's. Keep pushing him I am sure it will truly mean the end of the GOP as a viable major party. It is time ALL the GOP stops there tactics against his supporters at the local and state levels. Otherwise what little $$$ he raises for the GOP will be tied up fighting legal challenges and I and ALL americans will have to deal with ObamaCare or HillaryCare. Thanks from a disgruntled lifelong GOPer who will not sell out his conservative principles to blindly follow a liberal Democrat such as McCain who has invaded OUR once great Party!

PS: I suggest you read Ron Paul's book the Revolution A Manifesto. Shows how much more intelligent he is than all the original candidates combined!!!

received two of their surveys. I told them I will only support Ron Paul and I will not be voting for McCain. Today the National Republican Party called me. They of course were asking for money. He started out with a donation of $150 or $100. I said have you seen the price of food and gas right now? I don't have any extra money. Then he lowered it to $75 or $50. I said I really do not have any money right now. He still persisted and went down to $35. I told him maybe when I get my stimulus check!!! It's funny they aren't pushing John McCain, they said we need to get conservative Senators and Representatives elected to congress because the democrats want to push through the biggest tax increase in history and they also don't want to build the fence on the border. I thought to myself good luck there aren't any conservatives except for Ron Paul. Also aren't they a little late with this strategy?

when I called Tom Coburn's office to complain about his endorsement of John McCain! (we campaigned very hard for Coburn-- we were both irritated by his endorsement of John McCain,especially since Coburn is known as the Dr.No of the Senate.)

I wrote almost the same reply on mine. I told them, that I couldn't in good conscious support McCain because of his stance on big government,abortion and illegal wars.

They are perfect Slim-Jim sized devices. I've been sending 2-3 slim jims per week courtesy of them. There must be a running joke in the mail room when people open what we send them. "Another one for Ron Paul!"

OMG, have I been getting mail.
I am a precinct chair and delegate to the State Convention, I get 2 to 3 pieces of mail per day now.
I had only donated a total of 200 bucks to campaigns before this year. [both for Michael Banarik in 2 different races]
I have been contributing to my LOCAL County GOP because most of them feel the same way I do. I will always either donate locally or to a specific candidate.
I sent in the survey, but did not contribute.

.......... All Ron Paul supporters who get these kinds of surveys from the GOP should write similar letters telling them how they are destroying their party by backing someone like McInsane.
I like the slim jim idea too. I can imagine the face of the person who has to open to returned letters. lol (Oh no, not another one)

and where they had the long list which asked if Dem or Rep could do a better job, I marked all "undecided".
Where they asked for "other" I typed in my own thoughts!
I also copied and pasted your response in a reply - hope you don't mind. I spend hours every day writing letters to editors, my legislators, and posting info - its a full time job! It's impossible to keep up with all this tyranny - it keeps raising it's ugly head daiily!
Plus finding articles and emailing to everyone who don't want to hear from me any longer. It's tiresome!!!

What I enjoy doing is whenever I get a solicitation in the mail from the Republicans, Democrats, ACLU, Sierra Club, etc., erc., if there is a postage paid return envelope, I insert a Ron Paul slim jim and send it on to them. My employer received a solicitation from John McCain - I sent them a slim jim also! It's kind of fun, and maybe not a bad way to get the message out.

Working the GOP should be a top priority. Let them know how you feel, unless you are a delegate. In that case stay away and just do your job. I however cannot be a delegate. Keep up the good work and continue spreading the word. Also encourage the GOP to read RP's book. I converted a few brainwashed sheeple by giving them a copy of RP's book. You can do the same!!!
