New NH TV ad MUCH BETTER!

This ad is a hundred time better than the last, and the reason is simple, they let the good doctor speak his message, plain and simple.

To the "A salesman's defense of NH ad #1" forum..

we've had a lot of ad discussion about this today...and have wiped our bitter tears and have happily moved on from the first ad to the second...check it out...

The first ad

They're not still going to run that one too though, are they? Anyone know?

Thanks you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Given the first one was not really the best effort I must say, This one is great and really speaks to the heart and conveys the genuine message of Ron!

The first commercial had the right idea, just horrible execution. I want a redo on the first one to be done by local meet up groups that have commercial making in their repertoire and sent in to RP for his use

I will be voting for Ron Paul, even if he is not nominated

Good

This is more like the kind of ad I would expect from Ron Paul. The other type of ad I would expect is to show his supporters live in action, no canned crap.

I hope it's not too late to edit that first one.

What is good about this

.
... is that voters can see and hear Ron Paul, talking about things that matter. This will go well with the first one, which - despite its flaws - had a certain charm.

I liked the Declaration of Independence in the background also. Very simple and good - all of it.

It's hard to get a good message across in 30 seconds, but this one will do much to familiarize our guy with the voters.

Superb ad

Dr. Paul just hearing you speak will bring in thousands of new supporters
you are inspirational !!!!

New Ad

First Ad: a cheesy B Movie, Second Ad: Academy Award

Tremendously better ad!

Tremendously better ad! Great Job Dr. Paul

Support and Defend the Constitution!

Excellent Ad

Strangely, it makes me appreciate the first ad more as other people can often sell someone else better than that person. The combination of Ron selling himself along with other people selling him works well and understand the campaign strategy better now with the different style of ads. That being said, the concept of the first ad was very good, it was just the "canned" verbage that created the major problem.

Awesome, much improved over

Awesome, much improved over the first attempt and I immediately made another contribution to keep building that war chest.

Let's show the campaign we approve by dumping some more money their way!

Good ...

I like it, but I am a little concerned with the "take care of people who need it" aspect. It's important that we return to the constitutional role of government domestically as well as internationally. I agree with the idea of phasing these programs out -- they can't be eliminated in a day -- but it should be over a year or two, not a lifetime. Paul's desire to shrink government is one of the greatest reasons he can appeal to disenfranchised traditional conservatives in NH and elsewhere (like me). He should emphasize that he doesn't believe all these wasteful social programs are authorized by the constitution, and that he intends only to have a transition period, and return the government to its proper role. I know that he believes these things, but he should be careful not to turn off NH conservatives who may not know very much about him.

It's a dicey topic. How to

It's a dicey topic. How to make it clear to fiscal conservatives that he's opposed to the welfare state and would like to ultimately eliminate it, while making it equally clear to the other side that he's not a monster who wants to toss people out on their ear.

I think he's handling it as well as he can. He recognizes that people have become totally dependent on the government, but sees them as a "species" that needs to become extinct.

I do think he's doing a

I do think he's doing a pretty good job of it -- it's important that whenever he mentions financing social programs he puts it into the context of eventually phasing them out. This is the best way to not alienate anyone. I'm a little concerned that if I hadn't heard of him before, from that ad I might believe that he supported the indefinite continuation of these programs. I think there are a huge number of people that want the government to return to its constitutional role, and don't see a candidate that supports their views. As his record shows, Ron Paul is their candidate -- that's the message we need to get out, especially for the primary.

I actually was willing to take the time to reconsider my position on foreign policy after I found that I agreed with Paul on almost every other issue. I think that others may be willing to do the same (for a number of issues), if he clearly espouses his principles. It's more important to be honest and show conviction then to "not turn people off". As I say, I think he's doing a good job, but he needs to be careful, since the temptation will grow with his popularity.

Oh, man! Whatta load off my poooor head!

Phew! That 1st ad was a killer.

BUT THIS ONE IS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love it, love it, love it, love it, love it!!!!

Yes, absolutely! Much better. Clear, succinct, quick, to the point, not over-made, not bagging on anybody else, just tellin' the truth. Very good.....

digg buries again

if you care anymore about digg, they just buried the story about the sec vid. Saw it in real time, that's the only reason I'm making a comment, otherwise I've given up on digg. Was at 130+diggs on the top of What's Hot in 2008 Elections and then it got disappeared.

Here is the link to the story:

It Might ...

... make sense to place the official campaign web site address on all ads. I think this is all the #2 ad is missing.

It appears briefly while he

2nd ad much better

I think a little background music would make it perfect.

Keep it simple

OLD PEOPLE get confused easily.
NO MUSIC - Just the good doctor talking.

You don't seem to have very high thoughts about old people...

Without music, it might be a better contrast against the probably noisy ads before and after. Viewers might first think that the commercial break is over and pay more attention. It's fine as it is without music.

Not really.

The perfect ad

The message.
The man.

Yes, this ad has everything!

This brightened my day

a little now....I was very concerned after that first one, but it looks like they'll be running at least one decent ad.....we should e-mail the campaign to thank them for a good one after the backlash yesterday....and also try to stress the importance of running this one and NOT the first one....this is the nice, soft, foot-in-the-door kind of ad that everyone's been saying he needs....

e-mails...

I think the last thing that they need are more e-mails... :) They pay attention to us and know that they have calmed the horde... :)
