Sunday April 27, is there any news from the Nevada convention?

My Concern

This may be totally unlikely, I don't know; but there have already been events taking place that would have seemed totally unlikely, too! So with that in mind...

My concern for all this quiet is this: is it possible that the InSane camp is communicating with their people on the Q.T.? I mean, either calling them, or emailing them individually, or visiting their hotel rooms or homes or whatever; contacting them directly as opposed to contact via GOP or McCain site or board -- such that they can spread the word only to their people as to the new reconvened date/time/place?

Such would certainly allow them to say that they "held the convention" and they don't know why the Paul supporters didn't come...I can just see that happening...

Yeah, maybe it's a stretch. But would you have believed any of this GOP tomfoolery would have been in the works, before it all actually happened?

invite the McCrap people and hold an honest and fair convention and elect the delegates. . .send them to National and make a stand. Make some noise.

I don't think they're this good or organized. If so then why not just take over the convention. I think like it was stated in another thread that they MIGHT not have any delegates go to National. Maybe this will be a much better sacrifice.

Their lack of organization is precisely why I think this recess was called. Beers recognized that the RP supporters were far more organized than the InSane crowd.

They will certainly use this break time right now to get their ducks in a row -- look how they got their delegates to stand in the back of the ballroom and refrain from the head count. When those folks saw that the convention didn't have a quorum without their presence, they cheered. I expect they will take that as a "victory" and use that to rally their supporters together in a more organized fashion.

Let's reconvene our own convention and vote this party hack out of office.

Mr Beers, It is my understanding that the convention was recessed without a vote. Was this a violation of the by-laws? As patriots we should always honor our most sacred American right. Which is the right to vote and support whomever we choose.

I know you believe in American values and liberties. Please reconsider and admit your error and let bygones be bygones. I'm certain you wouldn't like to bring any more public scrutiny to the party. After all, we have soldiers putting their lives on the line helping other countries obtain the right to vote.

The other delegates, including those who support whomever the nominee is, will also be disenfranchised, and voters and members who are not delegates will not be happy.

The 2/3 vote in favor of letting delegates vote was not just because of RP supporters.

running for president. . .could Ron Paul people organize a convention to elect deletates for national, and invite the GOP people to come? I mean, the convention was abandoned by the old GOP - acted totally against the rules, the only reason for the people who stayed to the end had to leave was because of not having a quarum. . .what if it was reconvened and the people who had stayed could come up with a quarum they could just continue on with the election of delegate process?

I think the Nevada GOP should hear from a whole LOT of people regarding what we think of them after yesterday. good news! If the convention were to have reconvened at 7:30, and they did, then it means they are busy doing something. It's just that we're biting our nails waiting on that "something". I'll bet they're duking it out! I can hardly wait for the details.

I'm suspecting no news means nothing is happening right now. Wow I would really love to be fly on Beers wall this morning. They are in process of organizing a vote since a vote was not cast on saturday for the delegates.

The places are unclear, it is either at peppermill restorts in Reno or the Tuscany ball room. There is also talk that it might be reconvened in Las Vegas.

I am a Clark County NV delegate and am here in Las Vegas so will try to attend if they bring it here.
