the old church and state thing
I appreciate GOOD VALUES in politicians, I do not believe Christianity has the corner on that market. I do wish more Ron Paul supporters would stop assuming all of us are Christians. It is another line people use to divide us, I simply refuse to be insulted by people who so not understand me, so we manage to get along. If I were to express my religious beliefs and assiciate them with Ron Paul, many Christians would be FURIOUS even though the core belief is essentially the same, I just do not attribute the belief the the deity of their choice. This ends with "Real ID = 666" and that hits me like the same fearmongering nonsense our government spouts, and you proclaim "no crap" from him? How about sticking to issues: Real ID = unfunded mandate and therefore un-Constitutional. The CONSTITUTION is what makes us all AMERICANS, not the Bible. I have NEVER heard Ron Paul say he thinks the Real ID is the mark of the beast, or any other RELIGIOUS objections. Moral issues are between me and my creator. The CONSTITUTION binds me and my fellow Americans.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

The other thing that strikes me though, is how is that book of revelations being portrayed some years and years ago coming to fruition?
Ron Paul is free to be a christian or to follow Buhdah.
the great thing is that "for now" we can be on this forum discussing this.
Why do you assume..
.. the video was made for you? Maybe it was made by christians for christians?
Is it ok for christians to do that? The government didn't make the video. Where is the church/state issue?
If you read the history about church and state....
Thomas Jefferson was not there....he later wrote a letter and talked about the seperation of church and state...in the 40's they started taking that out of context...from my understanding and what scholars have taught, when people were getting beheaded for their own personal religious beliefs it was used to protect the Church, not keep the two "seperate' with the way the term is thrown around today. But it was to keep government out of the Church.....People were going way back to where they had to say "hail Cesaer" and getting beheaded for their beliefs....we have protection of that Freedom under the Constitution.

My opinion, it is all the same, we divide and make the differences, but that is my Freedom. For now!!
I must admit, I as well have
I must admit, I as well have at times felt uncomfortable both here and in person with other Ron Paul supporters regarding the issue of Christianity. As time has gone on, it seems that there are more and more Ron Paul supporters making the assumption that 1) Ron Paul should be supported because he is a good Christian, 2) The United States was founded as a Christian nation, 3) that Christianity is the basis of our nation's (former?) greatness ..... and I could go on and on.
I REALLY don't want to be divisive here, but folks do need to realize that there are people of ALL faiths, and of no faith, in this camp, and it behooves us to minimize the subjective and personal topic of religion here.
In my experience...
.. I find that as many or more Ron Paul supporters are non-religious/agnostic. I'm sure zeitgeist upsets christians. I haven't heard them complain too much about it.
Zeitgeist blames all problems on religion while I haven't seen any religious Revolution videos blaming atheists for all problems.
