New Plan of Speaking Out!
Something that has chapped my hide for several months now is that we in the great State of South Carolina are not able to exercise our right to vote. We are told that we are, but in reality the rules do not allow for us to vote for any candidate in the general election that is not on the ballot. In other words... we cannot submit a write in vote (or type in since we have these stupid black box voting machines).
What can be done about this? Is our only course of action really limited to not participating? Are we really reduced to get on board, or shut up? If we do that (shut up) then we are accused of having no leg to stand on because we didn't even take the time to vote, as if we therefore have no dog in the fight. I DISAGREE!
Here is what I am going to do...
Since I cannot go to the voting booth and vote for my candidate of choice I will show up anyway. I will stand in line and have every intention of voting for the candidate that I know I will not even be able to vote for. I will sign my name to the stupid check in log, and politely walk over to the booth I am directed to; and then I will refuse to leave until I am able to exercise my right to vote. Will I be detained, or possibly escorted off the premises? Who knows!? But imagine if thousands of us did this across the State, or across the several States... Could this fuel the freedom fire a little bit more?
Why should we be FORCED to either vote for one of THEIR candidates or not vote at all? If the 16,000 RP supporters who voted for him in the SC primary would commit to this plan; and if the hundreds of thousands of other RP supporters whose States prohibit write in votes would do this... We could very well send a shock wave to the establishment that might actually make a difference. Staying at home isn't going to accomplish anything.
Won't you join me!

I am in Greenville, SC and I can not risk being arrested, I have two young girls to take care of. I would love to see every last one of those stupid machines hit with a sledge hammer :)
I am thinking absentee ballot write in but to be honest. I believe with every ounce of my being, RP is going to win the nomination. I just know he is. If I am wrong, I believe the next best course of action is Chuck Baldwin on the Constitution ticket. He is a great man that has gotten my attention last year and I have been watching him closely.
On another note, Lindsey McGramnesty. Do you have any idea who can get him out? I was looking at a few candidates but they couldn't raise the money to get on the ballot. I wanted to check out a few Democrats but haven't gotten around to seeing who was running.
Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Absentee ballot write in?
Absentee ballot write in? Thought about that too.The problem is... we need to be heard so absentee write in's would only serve to attempt a back door that doesnt really exist. A absentee write in is no different than not having a write in option on the computer.
I have 4 young children to support too. Dont misunderstand me, I have zero confidence in the voting system anyway! The goal here is to speak out and draw attention doing it. Not for the sake of personal inconvenience or hardship but frankly, because our kids need us to speak up before its their turn and all options are gone.
Lindsey Graham is a perfect example. Who can beat him? The only way to answer that is to ask if you believe the voting system is legitimate in the first place. Havent you noticed that he is attached at the hip with McCain? And who voted for McCain in SC? I know no one that did and like you, I live here. So it begs the question... how was he allegedly the winner of the SC primary?
Nice.
I like your idea.
Only those who are prepared to be imprisoned should do this. If you are -- go for it.

Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!
The question is...
The question is... Imprisoned for what? What will they lock us up for? If they ask me to leave or force me to leave I will have the media there as quick as I could. Probably wouldnt be a bad idea to have them there to begin with. I have no problem going to jail for trying to vote.
I just think that if enough people got on board it could be a firestorm.
If write-in votes are not
If write-in votes are not legal in SC, maybe consider organizing an effort to change the law?
...
That would be great if...
That would be great if it could be done before November. The point here is that this is not unique to SC alone. I do not know the overall number of States that have this problem but I know we are not alone. What I'd like to know if how many other States that specifically use electronic voting methods actually have a "screen" where you can type in a name that is otherwise not represented. I'd be surprised if there are any.
Oklahoma has no write in
Oklahoma has no write in option, so I will have to vote other than dem or rep if Ron Paul is not on the ballot or scrawl FU across the entire damn thing.
Again... the point here is
Again... the point here is not to scrawl anything on a paper ballot in frustration but to harness the opportunity to expose the SCAM that these elections have turned in to. Its a total facade, even if good intentioned people run the polling places. Those good intentioned people do not run the machine, they simply perform a job... usually as volunteers.
My beef is not with them. My beef is with the criminals that have brainwashed my fellow citizens into thinking that they are really choosing. And then, I take issue with the millions of so-called 'patriotic Americans' who refuse to turn a blind eye as this all unfolds.
This is nothing new. this has been happening since the convention in Philadelphia hundreds of years ago!
