In 2 years, the party can be ours!!!

In 2 years, the people who run Nevada's republican party will be up for election. We all need to stay in the fight & active in our counties so that we can take over this party & state. Of the many things that bothered me at this convention, the first was that Ron Paul's banners weren't even displayed in the convention hall. It was all McInsane. Next, was the attitude that we should all be happy that we were thrown the bone of Ron Paul being "invited" to speak at "their" convention. Next, was the mindset that all the republican delegates in the land were bound to McInsane, so any time that was given to Ron Paul was a magnanimous gesture. I was ashamed at all the so-called humorous jabs made against the democrats. We Ron Paul people are so above that kind of behavior. One speaker's (Deal Heller) speech consisted of "You might be a liberal if ______" and one of the rejoinders was, "You might be a liberal if you cry when your son joins the Marines." Well, damn it, I WOULD cry if my son joined the Marines! So, I guess I'm a liberal, but I have a lot more graciousness & class that that bunch of neo-cons. I can't wait until the party is ours & we can run a convention the right way

How many neo-cons have sons

How many neo-cons have sons in the Marines at the moment?

By the way, one thing we need to change is the age cutoff on military service overseas. There shouldn't be any. It should be cradle to grave.
Making war a pursuit of young men only creates loopholes for the rich and deceitful. All those chickenhawks who never served? The Sean Hannitys, the Bill O'Reillys? They should still have their chance to go over there.

I have started a Meet up for this purpose

It is called the National Revolution. I started it 3 months ago for the expressed reason of changing the party from the inside.

If we can be elected to the party positions on the different committees we can defeat those that have fought us this election cycle. Our enemies within the party have been more damaging than any media outlet or other candidate. We must do something to save our party and our Civil Liberties and by taking control of the local GOP we can do just that.

They decide who runs with party support for elected office and if we hold those positions we can, and will, promote freedom first.

Hey...

...I'm in your Meetup. :)

Absolutely right on the

Absolutely right on the money. Here in TX at the state senate district convention I was told that typically less than 100 people wind up attending, but this year it was 500. In 2 years we should expect the numbers to return to normal, numbers of 100 or so... That give us 2 years to recruit like minded individuals to dominate the party.

That's Two Years of Perseverance

Not a criticism but an observation: we need to (oh, how I now hate this phrase) stay the course after this election cycle comes to a close. Easy for a lot of people to be pumped up for a current cause; less so when it's just hum-drum everyday life. And to a lot of folks, politics is just something you put up with and show some interest in every few years when there's an election; otherwise...meh. Hey, I used to be one of those people. Not anymore. (Dang, I miss that whole ignorance-is-bliss thing.)

So a salient question to ponder would be: how do we keep the pulse alive outside of the short-term goal of a major election?

We've already discovered that Sunshine Patriots quickly fall to the wayside when the path before them appears less than rosy. How to keep the lifeblood flowing in the long term is a question deserving of some carefully considered thought.
