What kind of President do you want?

A little story which made me think of a way to relate to the common folk.

My BMW started leaking oil a couple weeks ago. I took the car to my mechanic whom I've been forced to use (only one within 70 miles) for a few years but lost trust in him recently. I was told my oil pump was leaking and with labor the cost to repair would be estimated at $430.00. I got on Craigslist looking for a moonlighting mechanic who could fix my BMW. A response came from a muffler shop who said he could fix my car. So I took the car to the shop. There must have been 200+ pictures of race cars on his wall, many of them signed by drivers offering variances of thank you. Although he owned a muffler shop, I felt comfortable he could fix my car. He put the car on the rack, looked at for about 10 minutes, summoned another mechanic and then strolled my way. “The oil pump is fine.” “Actually you are leaking power steering fluid from the hose under the reservoir.” The fact the oil pump wasn't the problem came as no surprise. The fact the fix was a new hose clamp was. “What do I owe you?” Nothing was the response, but I paid the guy $30 bucks for 20 minutes of his time and let him know I would be back.

So, the next time somebody asks you why you support Dr. Paul, relate this story with a simple question, what kind of mechanic would you want?

Dr. Paul is the mechanic who will diagnose the problem and charge you a fair price to fix it.

Mr. McCain is the mechanic who will fix the hose leak and charge you for the oil pump.

Mr. Obama is the mechanic who will replace and charge you for the oil pump, but not fix the hose leak

Ms. Clinton is the mechanic who will fix the hose leak, charge you for the oil pump and tweak something else so she really means it when she says, “see you again soon.”
