I can't but help think that Ron Paul is a tool of the Messiah. The Bible does not mention America in the end times or does it? And I can't shake this feeling that his non interventionists position might be a part of prophecy. I know there are those of you who do not accept Christ that are on here but I ask you on a research level to check out revelation and see if it does not correlate to today's events. I am not a "bible thumper" and won't push my views on you but just do some research out of curiosity. If you find yourself agreeing with the Bible after serious research then accept Jesus as your personal savior and get ready to welcome him back.. In my opinion and many others he is about to return. Look into the European Union in relation to the Roman empire. That is where the false prophet will arise from, and look into Israel getting ready to build a Temple. So you might say, well that is where the false prophet will sit after the nations go against Israel. Am I wrong here? Look into it and get ready.
Just to make things clear, I am not saying take what they are giving. On the contrary, fight. Freedoms lost are not easily if ever regained. Just look into it. I am not trying to force my beleifs on anyone.
Remember we are here to take back our government.

I won't attack, but....

Go read Zecharia Sitchin's works "Genesis Revisited" and "The 12th Planet" with an open mind. It actually will clarify/confirm the Bible, although it will completely change the way you view the "mystical/supernatural" aspects of religion. If you want to remain in dream-land, then keep accepting everything you've been taught at face value.

Truth is treason in an empire of lies.

The Bible says for each day will be given a year

or vice versa, meaning in Revelations, when they speak of days or weeks, what have you, you have to do some math. 49 weeks would actually be 49x7 years or 343 years. The reason I stated this is because I never really knew this until it was pointed out to me most recently. It can help clarify a lot of what the Bible says. Keep up the great work everyone.

I know I'll be attacked but...

Hello, I’m new here but I’ve been visiting your site for about a year now. I enjoy it very much. I never post anything on public forums but for the first time in my life I feel compelled to do so.

First a bit about myself: Middle aged, female, Big time Paulaholic. I love RP, maxed out my donation, converted at least 20 people, tell everyone I know about RP. Dr. Paul used to be my congressman before I bought my house and I ended up about 5 miles outside of his district :-( To add insult to injury the district that I moved into was represented by Tom Delay. I voted for RP in ’88 for President and I just voted for him again in the primary. I don’t think I’ve ever admired anyone more than Dr. Paul so I would not want to do anything to make him look bad.

I have been troubled all weekend about whether or not to post this and I must admit that I am afraid to but I must. This is the first in a 4 part 9 hour Christian educational video series. My pastor told me about them and I would just like you to be aware that they are available. Yes, I have read the comments on Google from all of the people that think this guy is a “crackpot” or a "Bible Thumper", so I know what to expect. Isn't it strange how most people who reject the Bible have never actually sat down and read it? At least once everyone should read it cover to cover.

Before I go, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you people for everything I have learned from you on this forum. You are some of the most intelligent people on any forum that I have ever seen. I apologize if this information has been posted here before:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1667738301360497195&...

I'm at work right now so I will sign out and check back later to see how badly I've been slammed.

God Bless.

Good Golly MissMolly I'll Be The First To "Attack" You.....

first of all, you waited a whole year to even register here at dailypaul after slinking around in the background? And then your first post is a link to a seven hour video about UFO's? How about a synopsis since google is such a crap format and always winds up freezing up (and no it;s not my computer because youtube works fine). No wait I'll guess, it's an in depth study how the whole UFO thing is a govt conspiracy to control the masses? Did you have to ask your pastor permission to post here at dailypaul? Anyone in my eyes that can't stand on their own two feet and needs to be told how to live their life is weak. That goes for all the asses in the new age movement too.And all the fake "teachers of any other belief or sect. They are 99% sheepshearers and you get everything you deserve.I don't discriminate in my abject hatred for all forms of organized religions.(Although I do see the need for them because most people are just plain idiots and need to be led around their whole lives)

Ahhh it feels good to spew a little venom now and then..welcome to dailypaul

Biblical Prophecy

Those who believe they know exactly what is in store for our world from the Biblical prophecies should take a little time to study the prophecies that were given for the Messiah in the Old Testament. At the time of Jesus, much like today, there were those who studied these prophecies exclusively with great attention to detail. You can see this when Herod met the wise men from the east who had come to see the Messiah. When he consulted the "experts", they rightly told him that the Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem.

If there were people who studied and understood these prophesies, then why did they not embrace Jesus as the culmination of those prophesies? Because he did not fulfill them in the way that they thought he would. For one, the prophesies spoke of a political kingdom that would be established through the Messiah that would overthrow all wickedness. They expected Jesus to destroy the Roman empire and establish his own government in Jerusalem. When that did not happen, they were disillusioned and abandoned him.

There are important lessons to learn here. When you study the prophesies (such as those in Isaiah), you see massive jumps in time from one verse to the next. It is easy to see how someone at the time of Jesus' first coming would confuse the events and believe them to occur within close proximity to each other. It is only in retrospect that we understand the original purpose and intent of the prophesies, and even there we are not certain about the final culmination of many of them (related to the Second Coming).

There has been discussion that the beast in Revelation refers to Nero, the Roman emperor of the first century, and the evidence is certainly compelling. However, it is also possible that the same passage refers to two beasts -- Nero and the coming of the true Anti-Christ in the future. In fact, we know that there have been many anti-Christs throughout history that are in a sense imperfect images of the final Anti-Christ of the end times. There is a precedent in the Old Testament when you consider Isaiah 14:12-15.

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.
(Isa 14:12-15)

The context is giving judgment on the king of Babylon (Isaiah 14:4), but most Biblical scholars also see the references to Satan himself. Isaiah is, in fact, referring to two people at the same time. The king of Babylon was a kind of human copy of Satan... acting in his image, so to speak. Could not the same thing be true for the Beast and Nero in Revelation?

An old pastor once told me that prophecy is not so much designed so that we can predict the future but so that when it occurs, we can see that God knew what was to come. We need to be careful when we try to determine what exactly the future will bring based on prophecy. Just as the scholars were wrong in the time of Christ with Messianic prophecies, we can be just as wrong today. While it is an interesting study and is certainly worthwhile (Jesus encouraged it), we need to understand that our understanding is far from perfect.

Back on topic, could we be coming to the end times? Quite possibly. The end of times may very well be imminent, but I take heart from another Biblical example in the Old Testament. Israel often faced imminent destruction as God called for judgment for their sins. However, when a righteous man arose and led his people back to God, God would give them a reprieve -- the man's lifetime, or a generation, etc. While the New World Order may very well be the oppressive Roman empire (the government of the beast), God is ultimately in control, and the timing is entirely up to him. Despite their strongest efforts and machinations, God could use a man like Ron Paul to push back the actual culmination for a period of time.

...if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
(2Ch 7:14)

It is important to support Ron Paul in his efforts, but for those of us who believe in God, it is even more important that we humble ourselves and pray. We need a revival in this land to return the paths of righteousness and justice. We must return to God if we are to have the hope of redeeming our nation.

Amen,

to the last paragraph. We need to beg for mercy, and to confess the sins of those in our govt, and in our churches and our nation.

History repeats itself, and

History repeats itself, and will continue until we change our perspective.

I fully agree

Ministers, preachers, and regular people who swear that Nero was THE anti-christ and everything has to be taken into historical context have very narrow thought. You mean to tell me that the magnificent God that I worship, who created everything, who knows all, and is in complete control couldn't have created that message for us, or whoever is living in the last days? I have to disagree. When did Nero make everyone take a mark on their forehead or hand, and NO ONE could buy, sell, etc..without it? And if your answer is some kind of "It's not literal, blah blah blah" it doesn't count. These things are spelled out as it is happening, and you don't have to stretch your imagination at all. You simply have to have faith in the Word of God, for it IS God.

If there is anything happening now that tells me we are in the end times, it is the Book of Daniel. It makes Revelations more clear to me and lets me know for sure that we are in the end times. Not to say it will happen tomorrow, or even in the next ten years, but it says keep watch, stay vigilant, and spread the word to all you know and those you don't.

Take this verse for instance, and if this teases you, please read the whole book. It is fantastic.

Daniel 12:4-10

12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

12:5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Do you realize that around 80% of scientist who have lived are alive now? Look at the internet...unlimited knowledge that you can sift through, and very dangerous if your not well disciplined.

Traveling to and fro? The fastest mode of transport was dependant on horses up until a hundred years ago. Now we travel in space, travel around the world, and a horse is just a novelty for most.

Tell me when these things happened in the past, I'd like to hear about them.

Just my 2 cents.

Re-read Revelation

You need to go back and read Revelation...the prophecies you're talking about were very near to the writer, and he intended to show that they were already happening.

The antichrist in question in Revelation is Nero Caesar, the beast being Rome. It was a message that the Romans were corrupting the virtue of the gospels and were trying to supplant Jesus.

The war between good and evil already happened, and evil won.

Daniel 12:9-10

12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

It's nice to be wise. Maybe you should re-think or at least open your mind a little. Just a thought.

Dear children, this is the last hour;

and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the las hour. 1John 2:18. It WAS the last days. then not now.

I don't think it is an issue of either/or

Rather, it is an issue of both / and : We have been in the last days since Jesus (Y'shua) came the first time, but the end will not come until the Good News gets to every people group. We are not there yet.

As

I said, it's nice to be wise.

Have a great day!

Finally!!!!

You are exactly right. Finally, someone who gets REVELATION. Except Jesus does win and WE WIN because of HIM.

You are right,

except for the last two words: Jesus won. Remember the money changers, who were so corrupt? and they did this thru the animals for sacrifice. There have been no sacrifices since 70 AD. Jesus is the sacrifice. No more of those moneychangers. And He will do away with the present ones, too.

no hopefulfilled, jizneff doesn't no sqaut..................

Trajan A.D. 98-117 fit the bill more so than Nero.

jizneff, you should go to the doctor quickly,as the fluid has backed up all the way to your brain and your ability to think is suffering greatly.

That's a new one to me

Every book and study on the subject i've read puts Revelation written somewhere between 68-96 AD.

Trajan certainly was a nasty guy, can't defend him as a possible character in this...but probably didn't come soon enough for consideration.

Either way...doesn't diminish my point that you shouldn't keep you eye out for the antichrist, because he's long dead.

As far as your (weak) insult...go and research the difference between "no" and "know" and get back to me.

I respectfully disagree

If the war was a battle of good (Jesus) vs. evil (Rome), than you say Jesus won? So Rome lost?

Sorry, the battle was lost long ago, and the message was corrupted. It's clear by my view at least that Pilate was the main decider in his death and that the Rabbi's were bystanders.

Ask yourself this...from what you know of Rome and their provincial kings, would it be normal for them to wash their hands of decisions like this and let it be the will of the people? Not in my history...the Romans were micromanaging nuts and would never have left that decision in the hands of the people.

Who was more threatened by Jesus...the Jews, some of whom may have believed him to be their savior, or the Romans, who saw this man saying I am the king of these people, not you.

The story was changed to make the Jews the aggressors and the Romans the innocent bystanders.

That part of the Bible is clearly changed...so how am I to trust the rest of it?

Supporting my theory is the fact that there isn't a single copy of any of the gospels that predate around 600AD.

I too respectfully disagree

Yes, Rome lost. The Roman Empire died, after they made those lovely roads for the spreaders of the gospel to get it out to the world. There is good historical evidence that Pilate and his wife became believers later, and helped to spread the gospel.
No, Rome would have done everything in their power to destroy the gospel, but it was Rome's being everywhere that actually helped spread the gospel. I think we have mis interpreted the Bible many times, so it appears to be faulty, and yet isn't. As to the copy of the gospels, that has been disputed.
If you feel this way about Rome, do you also feel the same about the present people in power, and if so, why are you here? We are here because we have hope that Ron Paul's revolution can win!

The empire died?

Yes...while it is true that the Roman Empire was lost, it was remade not in the typical sense, but through religious control.

View the dark ages and the Holy Roman Empire...the Caesar was not in power any longer, it was the pope. The Holy Roman Empire controlled most of the empire that the previous empire did, only through the church. Rome didn't need leigons of troops to control people, they had the keys to the afterlife...only through the Roman church can you get your reward, and if you don't like it, we'll excommunicate you.

Words do not speak strongly enough to describe my feelings towards the present people in power. It goes beyond hatred to a dark place I can't describe.

Ever hear of the Reformation?

where the Bible was put into the people's hands? I agree with you about the people in power, but they aren't in control of what I believe, nor what you believe, and they aren't in control of our reward.

My reward is here

Maybe I should have stated this earlier...but i'm one who doesn't believe in the reward. I think dead is dead, and that's all I get.

Which is where my hatred towards my leaders comes from...I'm a man who believes this is all I get...and I have to spend so much of my limited time supporting them. I have to have a bloated beaurocracy on my back, I have welfare and section 8 folks on my back, I have thousands of useless overseas bases on my back, now they want me to carry millions of Prozac and Vicodin addicts too? No F'n way...not anymore. I'm done carrying the load.

This is my reward...life is what I live for and i'm tired of living my life so others can live better....you are screwing up my reward. That's the difference between you and me..."they" are in control of my reward.

there are no gods

there are no gods

please stop this nonsense - it will not help elect Ron Paul and makes you look foolish

Very

Sad.

Well,

we have to remember that there is a distinction between the "ethnic Israel" and
the "new Israel" as it is called in the New Testament. We, christians are the
"new Israel" whether youa re ehnic Jewish, Arabic, WHite, Black, Asian etc.
So the words of Revelation means symbolitcally, the new Jerusalem, it does not mean the current political Jerusalem and Israel. This is very important, as some Christian groups, or those who profess to be Christians like Hagee (but does not recognise that Christ came to earth to be the Messiah, which means to me Hagee is not a Christian) do not seem to understand this distinction. Ethnic Jews were already dipersed many hundereds of years ago around the world and many of them have also "intermarried", so they also cannot be the "real Israel", if you go forth from the "political Israel" "argument". it is true that we are living in the end times, already in the New Testament.

You cannot "demonize" the European Union" as such also, it is based on economic and political co-operation, where the countries still have their sovereignty. Some in the EU are working towards giving up that right to sovereignty, but not all. Tow countries have rejected an agenda in referendums. One can see it as a sign of the times.

Not for long, and not really even now...

Don't believe me? Go read Romans 11 and see for yourself .. especially vs. 11 to the end of the chapter.

Ultimate One in Control

It boils down to - you believe in God or you don't. Some believe in God but not in the Scriptures sense. I learned not to argue with people - just present the Scriptures - they will believe them or they will not. Regardless, I've done my job - share God's word.

The problems come when people try to play God and judge others. I'm inclined to agree with many things BeaReady posted in this thread. I will take one more step though:

Scripture clearly teaches there will be a Great Tribulation - a time like never was before on earth - a time of devastating troubles. Scripture also teaches Christ came and presented himself to the Jews as their Messiah and they rejected him and had him crucified. So God saves a Jew named Saul and changes his name to Paul and sends him to Gentiles and those who receive Christ are part of the Bride of Christ. These are also those who Paul writes his letters/epistles to - Romans through Philemon. After Philemon, Paul talks to the Jews again and then we get into tribulation times.

Scripture has a literal application for that specific time and a spiritual application plus a prophetic. For the Bride of Christ (those "born-again" ) Paul clearly mentions a "catching up" what is commonly called the Rapture in I Corinthians chapter 15 and in I Thessalonians chapter 4.

We prepare today because we know tough times are coming and as Joseph prepared during Pharaoh's time, we prepare. But when it really hits the fan, I'm outta here.
