Yet another video example of police using pain compliance aka torture, for violating even the smallest of commands while in a police interrogation room. The likelihood of your children being subjected to electrocution aka pain compliance is very high. So you might as well have that discussion with them, you know "the cops (the state) own you son/daughter you have no freedoms/rights and must submit to the state at all times." Be sure to inform your children if they do get tasered to thank the nice police officer(s) for correcting their anti-social behavior.

While in a delusional state and physically unable to move from hospital bed 82 year old man pulls a pocket knife. Who do you call? Three state enforcers who zap this bed ridden man multiple times with their "energy weapon" as they call it. No doubt these "tough guys" were severely out manned by this 82 year bed ridden post surgery, oxygen dependent villain.

Symptom
Where police officers are allowed to use force, there will be a certain amount of abuse. Always, it has to do with human nature. If it goes out of control it is a symptom of a bigger problem.
Instead of questioning the use of tasers as isolated cause to rebel against, better try to help steering the US away from the whole problem, which is too much government influence.

OK here is the deal...
I am a child of the 70's and early 80's I remember when the police were your friends. You could actually talk to them, ask them questions hell you could even disagree with them. I remember be pulled over for speeding (owned hot rods and motorcycles got pulled over a lot.) and I would actually exit my vehicle and walk back to them. They never got excited about it. During this time in my life I only got one ticket and I was pulled over for speeding 21 times when I was sixteen.
Over the years I have seen our nation become the land of slave and the home of the coward and it makes me ill and mean literally. I remember when cops were part of the community and not a gang of thugs backed up by a fascist/communist state government. To see how we are being treated now and to see how the average citizens doesn't even seem to mind makes me so sad. What a shameful nation we have become. And I include myself in that because fact is I am afraid of the state (and it's enforcers) because all that has to happen is I cross paths with a state enforcer who wants to torture, kill or frame me for a crime (and by the way anything is a crime now a days. aka talking back, not follow orders fast enough etc.) and I am toast. And no one will really give a damn.
So when this fascist loving Minarchist used his/her smart @44 "mouth" to claim I was "speculating" ; whatever that is supposed to mean, I started to do some googling. What I found on the web was more and more incidents of state enforcers using tasers as torture toys. It seems tasing children is particularly exciting to these anti-Constitutional thugs. And yes they are enemies of The Constitution so if you wish to defend anti-Constitutional activities fine, just know were you stand.
I never intended to post so many replys to my own thread. It's not my habit as any long time DP'ers know. But as I was reading and watching videos I was simply shocked (no pun) at how state enforcers use stun guns to impose their own street justice on U.S. Citizens who do not "follow orders" or move "quickly" enough, or who dare to ask questions or exhibit "anti-social" behavior, or dare to "disrespect" their authority in any perceived manner. In fact any reason or no reason at all seems to be justification for "dancing with the taser" as the enforcers call it.
The most frightening part of this is the use of tasers has set the precedent that it is ok for a state enforcers to kill you or your child for the tiniest of perceived infraction/ violation or personal slight to a state enforcer. And the state enforcer will not be punished in anyway. The state enforcer is now judge, jury, and executioner. Can anyone say Judge Dred?

I would agree with you. Many situations can be better handled in different ways.
However,Tasers do become a very important assest though for police officers who need to defend themselves in certain situations. Guidelines of use must be strict and consequences of misuse must be clear. State law and department policies usually govern this, some are obviously better than others.
